One of the nicest dessert specialists in Melbourne. There are so many things to recommend here, I don't know where to begin... It's a shame there's no indoor seating area though.

So delicious, the hardest part is deciding which one to eat. The meringue clouds are fantastic treat to pick up and take to a dinner party for a light dessert, they are probably my all time favourite. All the cakes I've tried have been well worth the money spent.

    Chocolate, banana, passionfruit, caramel tart.

The creme de la creme of sweet creations, B&P is hard to beat. Only the very best components in creative and inventive combinations make it to the darling display cabinet. I've tasted my way through a few and even though on some occasions the taste is too experimental for me I can alway appreciate the quality ingredients, care and precision that went into that small work of art. It's not a place to sit and linger - there is a small outdoor seating area for those that can't wait to taste their goodies - and I don't mind that at all. You have a range of single serve cakes, ready made large cakes, and lots of sweet spreads, chocolate bars & slabs and all manner of other sweet concoctions to choose from. You can also order cakes ahead of time for a special occasion. I love how good the store smells all the time and I appreciate the open view of the kitchen where the magic & hard work happens. The service is always lovely and impeccable and overall it's a premium buying experience. I think my favorites are the peanut raspberry mousse, mini salted caramel & chocolate tart, and pear & chocolate cake. There's a lot to try and I'm sure you'll find a favorite too. Today I tried a new one - Chocolate, banana, passion fruit, caramel tart. Utterly delicious!

Awesome looking desserts and amazing salted caramel! Mmmm so good when you can buy it by the jar.

A quirky little chocolatier/sweet shop that opts to mix sweet with savoury tastes. And the layout of the place + arrangement of products is more like Willy Wonkas factory than a place of business. Especially as the kitchen is on full display for you to watch them at work. Fun all around. Overwhelmed by the site of it all I ultimately got just one of their teeny tiny desert cups that layer so many different goodies one on top of the other. It was divine. And honeycomb for a movie friends & I were seeing later. Again amazing. Probably only complaint would be that unlike Chokolait, the Lindt cafes, Ganache, San Churo, Coco Black there is no seating available. Will be back, recommend to friends, etc

A fabulous unique experience taking the birthday cake experience to a whole new level!!! So difficult to decide I wanted them all.

Delish, GORGEOUS and artistic chocolates. I love the choc here but it needs larger seating area to make it feel like a place to hang out and chilling between shops.

    Absolutely delicious.

We popped by before the theatre, even though we had a reservation for after, just to check it out... As we got a table, we had the first desserts of the evening, the mango Alphonso and the tarte Tatin - amazing! We didn't cancel our reservation and came back for the raspberry field and the choc terrarium... Heaven on a plate! Don't miss it!

As soon as you walk in to the boutique hotel Adelphi, you sense the personal and fun touches. The lolly jar and lolly bag in reception, swinging chair in the lobby and wire horse installation. Walking past the reception desk and ahead to the host stand marking the start of the dessert bar you are greeted by friendly and professional staff. We told them that we have no reservation and are hoping for an empty table ( it was a weeknight) staff threw a comforting "no problem" and whisked us inside. I can only describe the staff as sleek. they are fast, smooth, friendly and professional. Just the right amount of greet and chit chats. having sampled the Mont Blanc and Tarte tartin at the Yelp event, we opted for Smoked Banoffee, Strawberry fields, and Cendol with a side of Adelphi rose cocktail. My advise is to gulp that cocktail before you eat because after all that sweetness the cocktail starts to taste bitter hahahah The Strawberry field is my fave, with strawberry gelato for mushroom head and marshmallow for the stem, lychee, raspberries and the surprise rosewater sphere that pops in your mouth ( or your fork). It tastes like perfume but with cool texture! The smokey Bannoffee is very very strong, our waiter tells us it is the dessert that divides diners. Love it or hate it. the flamed liquor leaves a thick woody flavour and the dish comes with popcorn, salted caramel syringe, ice cream, choc ball. HOW DO WE EAT IT???? however you want, they say..... The cendol is the only one that I could do without but was enjoyed by my partner. a small choc bowl holds the gula jawa, coconut type pudding and cendol balls. They sit on top a mango pudding. If you close your eyes, you have all the taste of Cendol but it's so bloody confusing for your eyes!! Would we go back? yes I'd like to try the other desserts and perhaps the high tea, if you plan to visit, the degustation is a good idea, $49pp for 3 small version desserts ( all you need). and it looks like each person can choose their own 3. Super!! just thinking about it makes me go Om Nom Nom Nom

(Gee, that was a mouthful) Situated in quiet Yarra lane which is just off Darling Street, the new self-serve concept has yet to pick up but we're sure it will soon enough. How it works is you are the master of your own yoghurt cup experience. It's a clever system, I think because you decide how much yoghurt you want (perfect for small or very large eaters) and then you choose your toppings and everything is calculated by weight. This means, if you're in a huge yoghurt mood and you fill your bowl with yoghurt and toppings, you pay the price. Likewise, if you're just in the mood for a quick slither of a taste, you pay for the small portion. It's the perfect equation and one where you can never again blame the service staff for under or over portioning. My advice however is to try the flavours you're interested in before your swirl your cup under the yoghurt machine. Once you're set on your choice (you can choose as many flavours as you like), then you start the DIY part. We've been here on two occasions now and it's always empty because the apartments nearby are still quite vacant but we're sure once word gets round, this place will pack up so get in before everybody else.

More significantly the business is connected all in one phone line as I have realised later. When I called the Collins St. Business to put a formal complaint in I ended speaking with the manager (mentioned below balding gentleman) I've been there maybe more then ten other times since my Affagato review And not by myself. In all the times my friend and I walked in was greeted. and given menus "while seated"... This time- we both walked in, my friend sat immediately I was then told at the counter "you must pay first in order to get service" my friend hasn't told me what he wanted to drink and I wasn't going to guess so I thought it was best to go sit down. So then I said: "can you just come to the table And give us service so we can tell you our coffees?" .... (Her French accent) she said: "yes, but you need to pay first before you get your order..." she neither got the fact that I wasn't by myself- or the fact that who I was with is somewhat elderly and had to sit down.... Her tone was a bit ugly and I then insisted she get the supervisor.. From there it went down hill cause my friend didnt understand why we couldn't get service. We started to get up to leave when.... All racial hell broke loose... Where not just the Manager of the place but another customer who is a "blued hair old woman" started screaming at me about how that French girl supervisor was "trying" to do her job. The manager nearly laid two hands on me!!! While the old woman customer was talking at me.... I'm almost tempted to report his actions to the police!!! I touched no one and I was screamed at!! All the while MY friend was not near me and had already headed out the door and saw none if the last terrible predicament I was in... Left looking like a terrible "tan skinned American" who sounded crazy while a partially balding gentleman And and old "uptight" woman talked down to me. Perhaps it was the time of day- 4:20- 4:40pm Perhaps it was the day- Tuesday Perhaps it was that this so called supervisor doesn't like "American accented people" (after all the acting supervisor is French) Perhaps it was just the fact that a new supervisor could have handled herself better with her tone to a customer.... Whatever the facts.... This business is officially tainted on my foodie list. In regards to customer service... You break one And that can be followed by more... If I'm just one customer, it's just time before others discover how sour they'll be handled while there too!... I can never go back to Ganche now... Too bad. It was on my high list.. Forget that now! I most likely do better with Lindt on Collins st. Or Cocoa Black, maybe even San Churro or Max Brennan.... BP Chocolate isnt far from this one either... They are much better too!! GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!

Residing on the long stretch of Toorak Rd, just a couple of blocks from the metro station. I walked in at around 3:30 p.m., and already they ran out of 50% of their selections, also missed the opportunity to try their MasterChef famous Lolly bag cake *sad* My pick of treats: Kuma - A wonderful play of strawberry and banana cream flavor on top of a chocolate tart pastry. The presentation was insanely adorable, but taste-wise, it was too sweet and heavy for my liking. The chocolate decorations was not delicate and the tart based pastry was a tad too hard. With each cake costing $8-9 each, expensive for what basically amounts to a few bites. Be My Love - Again, the presentation was so darn cute, almost too beautiful to be eaten. However, it was just as forgettable as the previous. A milk chocolate mousse with raspberry jelly in the middle- it has that combination taste of sweet and sour that was a little too overpowering for my palate. The best part about my trip to LuxBite however, has got to be sipping their Rose lychee latte. Mildly infused Rose-lychee flavor latte garnished with raspberry bits. Quite creative, delicious and slightly bitter - a perfect remedy to tone down the richness and sweetness of the cake. Short to say, LuxBite was just an alright experience for me, but I would say it's still worth the try - the taste might not be anything too special, but the cake artistry here is superb and the staffs are full of smiles. Would definitely be back for the Lolly bag one day!
