I came here with friends while visiting Melbourne from New York, and I was not disappointed. I couldn't wait for everyone to arrive before I ordered my Full Wine Flight, as I was getting to the point of "hanger," and everything was starting to make me consider chewing my own arm. It was a generous helping of about 2.5 glasses worth, which they did tell us ahead of time, but again, as I was hangry, I had selective hearing at the time. Point being, make sure you have food in your belly and really love a lot of cheese or you may want to share the Full Wine Flight. While I was partial to certain cheeses and wines, I did enjoy them all and felt they were each paired perfectly to the accompanying wines. Personally, I can't just eat cheese with my wine, so we added a few meats, the onion jam, more bread and the fried Camembert as well. One of our friends is a vegan, and she was pleasantly surprised and thrilled that they catered to her dietary needs with a few items as well, so this is good to note for any vegans out there! Overall, it was a very delicious and lovely experience, and I will certainly go back the next time I am back in the area visiting. I think I can speak for the 3 others who joined as well, as they all signed up for their special loyalty program that allows you 10% off your first visit after you sign up.

There's cheese a plenty. There's drinks a plenty. Let the cheesy times roll. I've gone as a couple and as a group and the concept works brilliantly either way. Mix and match, share or go solo with one of the flight selections. There are combinations to suit every taste and budget. Don't be overwhelmed by the massive selection - the staff are more than happy guide you through. They were also happy to make sure our large group could easily settle our bills separately which was a great touch.

I have to admit that this place is my guilty pleasure now. I'm so glad that it's RIGHT around the corner from where I live! Cheese + Wine is my ideal meal. Seriously! The menu looks a bit intimidating at first but at least the lovely staff are on hand to explain how everything works. The flight board with matching wines, beers, whiskeys, spirits, etc but so are just the selection of cheeses that you can pick and just have with various types of breads, biscuits, etc. The wine that they have here is all absolutely delicious and I can honestly say that I've found my favourite red of all time there that seems to go perfectly with pretty much any cheese. Make sure you get some truffled honey to go along with it all and you're night will be complete! This place is perfect for just a nice catch up with friends, a pre dinner place and even and after dinner place.

Cheese dreams come at me! I almost risked the very serious condition of cheese sweats after visiting Milk The Cow with 9 of my closest friends. We held a semi-private tasting panel of our own. 50/50 split of beer and wine flights accompanied by cheese greatness.4 drinks, 4 cheeses and a well educated sommelier to explain it all to us. Followed up with a cheese platter oozing with truffle honey, quince paste and some seriously tasty bread. Lowenbrau beer on tap and the prosecco flowing freely ensued that we had a delicious evening. As a licensed fromagerie there isn't much else other then cheese and cheese complimenting friends to be eaten. Though why anyone would go here for anything pas the great service and cheese delights I'm not sure.

So tonight i had nothing to do and felt like some wine again. I went with 2 other girlfriends that haven't been here before either. I decided i wanted to visit the St Kilda location because I went to the Carlton one last week. Honestly the service here was horrible. Very slow service because they weren't attentive. Anyways, we ordered 3 different things this time; the sparkling flight, dessert wine flight and the cider flight and also a custom cheese platter. I ordered the cider flight but there was 1 particular cider which was the 3rd one I didn't like. It was so bad i couldn't swallow it. Usually i'm pretty game and skull it so i would get wasted faster but I just couldn't do it. Cheeses were great. Other then that it was a great night. Interior of this place seems alot bigger than the lygon st location and way more outdoor seating area with open windows at the front so more fresh air for inside. I'll still recommend visiting milk the cow.

not normally a cheese fan .. but the fantastic wine pairing soon changed that... well as much as my semi lactose intolerant stomach could handle. Gulping down 4 glasses of wine on an empty stomach might have had something to do with it I think.

This is one of my favourite spots for any time of day. The choices are amazing and the service is friendly and prompt. Excellent selection of cheeses and wines and the platters cater for all. Seating is both indoors and out and is ideal for couples or groups. Great for lunch, dinner, afternoon wine and cheese or take home. Street parking is available but the area is popular. Trams provide excellent access.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE an amazing little deli/bistro I guess with amazing alcohol and cheese selections. Such a great place to come on a date or the catch up with the girls. Us 3 girls decided to go with the flight options. Choose your type of beverage with matching cheese! Small or medium size! The staff are so lovely and knowledgable and are constantly roaming ready to fill your water up or take away your empty glasses. They are happy to sit down and explain each drink and where it's from as well as the cheese and why it's matched together. I can't wait to come back!!

Cheese, wine, beer, sake, schnapps, whiskey! The curated flights of matched cheese and liquor were marvelous. If you're served by Simon, this is a lucky visit. No doubt you'll enjoy the exquisite flavours and pleasant disposition of this venue.

So a wine and cheese bar - fantastic!! Located on one of the less dodgy bits of Fitzroy street in st kilda. I loved this place! So let's start with the menu. They do a heap of different wine and cheese flighting menus which all sounded fantastic. We were going post lunch so went with the 4 cheeses platter and a couple of glasses of sticky - and some quince on the side. The cheese was fantastic and this place has a lovely feel and a load of outdoor seating which would be great if Melbourne winter wasn't about to kick in...

Everything comes with cheese, and that's great. Even the cocktails! Definitely worth a visit.

Review Highlights - Milk the Cow

I ventured into the St Kilda Office of this licensed Fromagerie and was met by a cute well thought out little cafe at the base of a hotel.
