Not the best conversation with the guys running the place. I felt a bit like they were doing me a favor working on the car as scheduled. They did a good job but not the best customer service...which doesn't give a ton of confidence in them or the the service. The place itself looks like it was built in 1932, so it could use a little polish from the people to make you feel like you're in good hands. Like I said -- they did a nice jobs replacing our muffler system with a new "cat back" system and I would recommend using them. But would also hope they would take my feedback for service level improvements. My son's car sounds much cooler now. read more

Hats off to Jeff and his imagination. My 1964 Fairlane Ranch Wagon was never designed to have dual exhaust due to the factory location of the spare tire. Fantastic Service at a very reasonable price. I took my 1999 Toyota Avalon from Pittsburgh, PA to B&G to replace a rusty heat shield. After soliciting service/quotes from 3 other Dallas firms ---B&G ran circles around the competition not only on price but on service. Other firms were quoting 3.5 to 4 hours labor and unorthodox ways to fix the aging hardware (negatively affecting SAFETY) , but Jeff at B&G studied it meticulously (unlike his competition) and came up with a solution that was not only sound, but safe and took only 1/2 hour to repair! As I was on vacation waiting for a car to be repaired, the Father & Son were able to get me back on the road within a couple hours that I very much appreciated. A good 15 years ago they were the tops, but a few years back they had me scratching my head. I had an exhaust leak on my vehicle, and the gents running the place kept me waiting a tad bit. No prob. The gent working there put the vehicle on a lift, pulled out a blow torch and began cutting up the shield on the cat-converter? I watched in utter shock at this man's stupidity. Why? I was speechless, he did a half ass repair on the leak and charged me a "fair" price? I'm not dumb, but when somebody asks you to repair something, why do you cut up a critical part of the exhaust system? Avoid these people at all costs... read more

I had an exhaust flange bolt break and called them up to set an appointment for the next day. Nice father/son shop that immediately got to work and welded in a sleeve to replace the flange. In and out within 30 minutes and was a reasonable $60 job. Growing up with a father as a mechanic I know how people feel looking for quality work and someone who won't rip them off. I can spot BS from a mile away but these guys are legit as you can get. B&G is a place I will definitely recommend to others. read more

I have gone to this muffler shop twice now and I have received excellent service at a fair price. I have taken a Mazda RX-7 to have a specialty part fabricated, and they were up to the task of creating an installing the part. They had me out that same day, and the two guys were cool. I also took in a Honda Civic to have some repairs done after some road debris damaged my exhaust pipe, and again great service, in and out the same day. Small shop, but they do good work that they stand by. I had some trouble installing a part they fabricated for me leaking a little, and they said they would take care of it at no cost to me. I was scared that I was going to have to spend a lot to replace my muffler/exhaust and whatever else might be leaking down below. B and G did a great job, a quick job, and made the welding repair for $52.50 including tax. They never treated me like I was a dumb girl. It took them 3 hours for a simple muffler delete on a BMW. We went over numerous under carriage photos on how it has been done before. It wasn't the best experience and still didn't come out the way it was supposed to and the piping was still 1/4" smaller then what was asked. This review is a late by about 2 months but wanted to share. My grandpa left me an older Chevy Silverado when when he passed away . It needed a little bit of TLC from sitting for about 4 years. I thought I would update it with some new exhaust. I went with a flow master super 44 series muffler and custom dual exit exhaust. My truck came in the shop in the morning and the shop was very busy at that time. I asked when it would be ready and the shop manager said most likely by 5 PM. I came back at 5 PM and they had just started on it. I was a little pissed but the shop manager said "we will finish it tonight". I didn't have any where to go considering the truck was my main source transportation while I was in Texas. The manager and his technicians worked on it until 9:25 PM at night. They did a FANTASTIC job on the exhaust, the welds looked solid and it sounded amazing. Hats off to these guys at B&G, they are the real deal when it comes to a quality exhaust shop! I even gave them a $40 tip for their professionalism and staying later. Even though I live in another state, my whole huge family lives in the Grapevine area and we will be doing business with B&G in the near future. Thank you B&G! read more

Can never fit you in your schedule and over priced quotes took a car to them before only to have to return because of poor welding skills

I've had a loud muffler for about 2 years, kinda thought it was just from being an older car with 200k on it. But then I noticed exhaust coming from the front side of the car, and could smell it. So, I took it down to BG and they looked at it, and told me there was a hole. I brought it in next day for the fix and now its SO MUCH QUIETER! My wife cant even hear me come home now. I'm not the loud car in the neighborhood anymore. If you EVER need any muffler/exhaust work done, take it here. Quick serivce (done by 1pm, same day). And very reasonably priced. And the guys were super friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend their work! read more
