The first time I came here, I purchased my first snake (who was in excellent health and a piebald ball python morph) and they sold it to me for half off when I pointed out that it was on sale at $500 from $1000 when they told me that it was $1000 as I paid, which made me ecstatic and so appreciative!!! All I had to do was sign up for their mailing list/rewards program, which is amazing since it sends so many coupons that are to be used monthly. I didn't know this and printed all four of them out (two $20 coupons and one $15 and one $10 coupon) and when I went to use them for five separate purchases at the checkout on a later trip here, the cashier let me use ALL of them, which was such a kind and nice action! The pet store employees really care about their customers and products, and it definitely shows in the customer service and in the care and upkeep of their diverse selection of snake morphs, birds, and lizards. They also have a wonderful selection of a larger variety of enclosures and snake morphs than I couldn't find at my local petsmart or petco in Diberville or Gulfport, MS. Many of their reptile husbandry products aren't in stock at my two local big chain pet stores and I LOVE that they have them here, where they take much better care of their animals than at petco or petsmart, that way I can support an outstanding independent business. I came here mostly to inspect the small pets. This is because I have recently tried PetCo and PetSmart, and was not satisfied. I am pleased to say that I believe your animal's habitats were perfect! The ferrets had toys to teeth on, the rabbits had enough grass hay, and the hamsters had a nice set up. The only issue I have is that the edges of the plastic igloos in the rabbit's habitat were chewed. Rabbits should usually not be housed with plastic, because it is easily chew-able and can be sharp if swallowed. Also, I know it isn't your fault, but I think the plastic igloos should be more permanent. I see tons of people walk by and was unsatisfied with just the rabbits outside, and they remove the igloo. Rabbits shouldn't be disturbed like this, since they are prey animals. This can be very bad for them. Like I said, I know this isn't your fault, but I would like the igloos to be more permanent, so people can't lift them as easily. read more

I went to another place first, I got very little and also bad information about the fish I got there, later on they died! This time I went to B & B. Big difference. Ms Nicole help me find the right fish for my tank size and feeding need, taught me how to care for them all with one big warm smile. I don't know what pet store y'all are going to, but the B &B I went to was great. The store does smell...but it's a pet store. I walked in the store and was greeted by the lady at the register, by the time I walked to the back of the store to look at fish I was asked 4 times by 4 different people if i needed help finding something. I go to B&B all the time, the ladies in the fish dept remember what I have in my tank and ask me if everything is going well. They have helped me start up a freshwater tank and now I 'm going to be getting a Saltwater tank and They are my go to pet store. They are locally owned. I never go anywhere but here! Don't listen to the other reviews!! They have one bad experience and just write bad reviews. Everyone should go here and support MOBILE'S ONLY LOCALLY OWNED PET STORE! The only bad thing i can say is the parking lot looks run down especially since McDonald's was just updated! read more

Had a very bad experience at B&B pet. Wont be going there again. Too bad because I am a big believer in supporting local businesses and have been going there for years. Bought a kit and part of it was broken. They agreed to exchange the broken part but it took almost 2 weeks to get it in stock (much longer than they originally told me). I kept having to check in and when I did, got the same manager who was interested in anything BUT helping me. He was so incredibly rude with me on the phone that I asked to speak with the owners. Ten minutes later they suddenly found my part (which was in the store but he did not know it). I went in to get it and heard the same guy walking through the store loudly taking about me. He walked right by me, loudly insulting me and laughing (unbelievably unprofessional and fairly stupid). Save face in front of your friends, but lose a customer. I prefer my buying experiences to be far less eventful. I agree with many of the other posts.. these folks don't know what service means. I was completely surprised and vindicated to discover how many people have had similar bad experiences here. Its too bad. read more
