Husband called to make an appointment for repairs. He said he could come that day, but we were all working so, made an appointment for the next day that he bailed on to take care of someone else. Made another appointment, he came out for 5 minutes and said he'd be back the next day at 10am. He didn't show. Husband had to call him 90 minutes after our appointment to find out what was going on. He said he got hung up and would be out later that afternoon. Didn't show and finally called after 5 to "promise" he'd be there tomorrow. If you couldn't be there for 4 days you should have been honest about that. We would have understood that, but to bail on 3 appointments with very little communication is very disrespectful. We shall see if appointment #4 happens, but I have zero faith it will. Have had him out several times over the years and our experiences then were great. That's why we have given so many chances. Called today for service, and someone (Bob) came over to look within the hour. After barely looking at anything he tells me that I need a whole new garage door opener, that mine is old and was "just not worth repairing". Took a check with him for the deposit, said he'd be back the next day to install the new unit, and was gone in less than 10 minutes total. Another company I had contacted earlier got back to me soon after, and just to be safe I had them stop by for a second opinion - and I am sure glad I did. In less than 5 minutes an issue was identified with the tension of the spring on the shuttle release, and after simply stretching out the spring to revitalize it the previously unfixable problem was in fact fixed and everything was working correctly again. The second company didn't even charge me (wish I could mention who it was, but that would probably violate terms). Bottom line - I will never call B&B Door again, and neither should you. read more

Do not hire this company. He took my deposit back in early September 2024 and told me he'd come back to do the work that week. Next week I called, same story. Week 3, I called and he told me it would be another week. Told him I'd hire someone else. Miraculously, he called me back stating he could come later that day. By that time, the new opener had been installed. Here it is early November and he still hasn't returned my deposit. Our garage door stopped working so went to Yelp for some Help! B&B got good reviews and is close by so I gave them a call. Bob came out within a couple of hours and diagnosed the problem. Had spring break on door late last night and called this morning. Bob arranged a time to come out within about two hours and was right on time. He quickly assessed situation, replaced spring and also did an inspection on the door. Came in to visit my mother in Bay Village and found her garage door opener completely bit the dust. She'd been trying to get it fixed correctly for about 2 years. Another vendor had already cheated her out of $200 to replace the rollers --- something Bob said should be about $50. Called Bob from his Yelp reviews. Bob is legit. He knows his business and he is a professional. He was upfront honest in all his dealings with both me and my mom. He called me back, quickly worked me into an already full schedule, and was really communicative the whole time. He came out when he said he would. He completely replaced the entire mechanism from how it was attached to the wiring. He did it for a bit more than the cost of the roller cheater that scammed for my mom. This fix is wonderful, she can open the door from the beginning of her driveway which is nearly a basketball court in length. She has two new clickers and an outdoor entry. Call B&B to repair my garage door opener was not opening the door fully and stopping half way open. He came out and said that I needed all new rollers and hinges (not needed to repair issue). He was out for a little over an hour and charged me over $300 and still did not correct the issue I was calling about as the door still did not open. He came out again and said that I needed to get a new opener and new spring as well. Another at least $400 extra to repair! NO WAY! I called another repair service immediately and they came out and made a minor adjustment to my genie opener and tighten the main spring. FIXED! He only charged $75!! He said that the repair done by B&B should not have been more than $125 in total! When I confronted B&B about the overcharge and not fixing the problem, he became very belligerant and threatened to take me to court! STAY AWAY! read more

I'd always recommend getting 2-3 quotes before having any work done where you're either not familiar with pricing or are not very familiar with who is doing the work. He came out because of a home warranty a few years ago. He sid a good job but he told me I needed additional items that were not covered buy the warranty. I purchased them. I recommended a friend to him and she bought one. Then a month or so ago he's went out and she called Bob to I stall a new one. Upon installation it had issues. He re adjusted it and put in a new battery She paid him and thought everything was ok. Then the door started doing the same thing that it was when he installed it. She called him and he was supposed to come out and never showed. She called the number on the card and some man answers an said it was the wrong number. She called back and for the same response. I called the number and the name told me the same thing. He said it was a roll over number for another company and they had just got new service. I emailed B & B and was told the number was ok and he was going to call. She called him again and as of the date of this post he still is making empty promises. I did have a problem with my remote and he was supposed to come and see when I bought mine and he never showed. I am my friend have come to this conclusion. Excellent and prompt service from B&B. We originally had another company at our home to fix our broken garage door who was provided by our home warranty company. It turns out that our problem was not covered by warranty and they could fix it for a high cost after already paying $75 for them just to come out. Needless to say I decide to look elsewhere.
