Dr, Lisa Benham is one of the most amazing optometrist I've ever seen. I've been seeing her since 1993 after an automobile accident and a torn optic nerve. Then she moved to corona and we continued seeing her as we live in Victorville California which is usually around a 2 Hour Dr. But we don't mind my entire family, my husband and three children all see her plus both of my parents we all make the commute because she's so wonderful, caring, and appreciative that we do come to her. Bernstein and Benham has been wonderful to me and my mother. I spoke with Tina on the phone because I needed my mom's prescription faxed to me but I didn't have my fax number with me. I forgot to call her back until after they were gone for the day (Saturday) so I left a message assuming they would get it Monday. On Sunday (apparently they work some Sundays) I received my mom's prescription via fax. Dr. Lisa is an excellent doctor and her staff is very nice and extremely competent. Dr. Benham is one of the best people on this planet. She is so sweet, kind, and treats her patients with such care. The office staff are equally as great. They are very friendly and helpful. They take their time with you picking out frames and getting to know you. The office goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience. With covid, there were delays with getting glasses shipped in, but that is NO reflection on the office or the team. Dr. Benham is so patient and kind and genuinely cares about her patients. I have been going to see Dr. Benham for over 20 years and she has always truly compassionate about what she does and gets to know each patient on a personal level. Services have gone down. Took 4 weeks to get an appointment, the prescription on my glasses was wrong so I called for a recheck. The person at the front desk said I could walk in anytime and they would re-check my eyes. FALSE. I walked in and then they told me I had to make an appointment for that which was another 1.5 weeks away. Now they call to cancel the appointment and don't have anything for another week. Doesn't feel like my eyes hurting from an incorrect prescription isn't a concern to them at all. I have been coming here for over 25 years, but the service now is TERRIBLE. Bad experience! Haven't been there it's just been phone conversations and female front office has bad customer service and not so great phone skills.... I called to schedule an appointment for my fiancé about 2 weeks ago then I had a gut feeling so I called myself to see if I could change the appointment, so there was no appointment openings ! So I re-confirmed my original date and time and she says she has a David on the schedule! WAYY OFF on the name, I recognized her voice so I said she was the one that asked me for the information and repeated the name at the time I had called 2 weeks ago, then she puts me on hold for the second time to "pull up the insurance website " i hung up i couldn't take it! The staff greeted me with a smile(huge plus in my book) very friendly and courteous. Although their eye glass selection was not that big, Dr. Lee had no problem writing a prescription so I can get glasses elsewhere! My family and I have been going to Dr. Benham for years... let's just leave it at that. Before finding her, I hated going to get my eyes checked (not as much as the dentist but still!). Dr. Benham is always so friendly and genuinely talks with you. She explains all the procedures and is open to any and all questions. She truly cares about you as a patient which is sometimes hard to find when we have eye centers in Costcos and Walmarts. She works in two locations (Corona and Yorba Linda) and works some Saturdays which is very convenient. I like her so much that I drive about 50 minutes to see her for my yearly exam since I have moved away. I highly recommend Dr. Benham for being a great optometrist and person. The staff is also friendly and helpful. Both locations are convenient and have ample parking. Prices are pretty good and they take a majority of the insurances. read more
