We met family here & really appreciated the service & the food. We live a distance away, but will be back in the future.

This place is an absolute gem!…read more The parking lot is small, but it's conveniently located at the top of the hill. There's also some additional parking on the other side of the restaurant. We've never had any trouble finding parking, but we usually arrive around 5 or 6 PM. If you're a fan of red meat, this is the place for you. I've tried both the ribeye and the prime rib, and both were absolutely fantastic. The portion sizes are generous for the price, so I always end up with leftovers. The prime rib is perfectly seasoned with a nice crust. I usually order my steaks medium rare, and they've always come out just right, except for one time when I got an end piece that I sent back. They quickly replaced it and agreed that it was more medium than rare. The jalapeño poppers are delicious, and the house salad is equally tasty. I always get the hashbrowns as a side, while my friend usually gets the brussels sprouts and the au gratin. I've never tried anything else, but I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you order. But the pie is the star of the show! Get the French Silk pie, made from scratch by the owner. The crust has just the right amount of saltiness to complement the rich chocolate mousse filling. The mousse isn't too dense, but it's not as light as meringue either. If you're a chocolate lover, you absolutely must try it. Pro tip: If you're there on a busy night, it might be a good idea to order your pie when you order your food. I did this one night because I was dreaming of the pie all week, and I'm so glad I did. Unfortunately, they ran out by the time the rest of our table ordered dessert, but my waiter had set aside my piece just for me, so I was able to enjoy it.

Great food options and super personal service in the bar. Kyle and his team are awesome! We love…read moreFriday night date night and the view is the best in the area.

This is a hidden gem!! Came here after fishing all day and…read morethe beer hit the spot!! The bartender gave me a couple samples and I let him pick a flight for me. We got a pizza as well, very good for just a frozen pizza. Looks like they have food trucks a lot as well. It is very cute inside and it lets you relax.

We visited Sylvan Brewery in April while exploring the quaint town of Lanesboro. Although the trees…read morehadn't bloomed yet, you can tell this place would be absolutely stunning once spring is in full swing--nestled right in the scenic bluff country. The brewery itself is really well-built with a cozy, welcoming vibe. There's plenty of seating inside, plus a great outdoor area that I can imagine would be perfect on a warm day. They offer a great variety of beers to suit most palates. We tried a flight that included: * Lanesbrew American Lager - Crisp and super refreshing, one of our favorites. * Willow Citrus Wheat Ale - Light and citrusy, great for an easy sip. * Gnarly Old Ale - Rich, flavorful, and full of character--definitely a standout. * Butterbeer Weisse - A fun, slightly sweet way to wrap things up. It made a great final note to the tasting. On top of the drinks, they also offer pizza and a few snacks onsite, which is a nice bonus if you're feeling a little hungry while you sample. Overall, Sylvan Brewery is a solid stop if you're in or around Lanesboro. Great beer, good vibes, and I'm sure the view gets even better as the season turns. Would definitely return!

It is not the best place you will go to but everything will be pretty good and everyone will leave content Food (A-) I had the 8oz steak with French onion soup, baked potato, asparagus, Everything tasted good and I finished my plate. Perfect portion sizes Value (B+) The prices seem to be a bit expensive for Austin but not too bad. Not a great value but nothing too crazy expensive either Service (A-) Friendly, polite and attentive. They do a great job providing suggestions and with checking up on the table. If you are in Austin this is a safe bet place to go to for some traditional American fare. There is a dog barking sound or a dog that was barking - I think it was just the sound- not sure - didn't ask about it.

So we walked down the street a little bit and settled in. Ambiance was nice. It had kind of a whiskey bar vibe, and also a classic downtown restaurant that was built as a modern restaurant into the old brick facade of a downtown. I liked it. Service was great! The server we had was very nice and prompt. I did accidently receive a cocktail, though, instead of the mocktail I ordered, so just be careful with that, but everything else was great. As for the food, I got the SPAM® Burger (4 oz House Ground Beef Patty, Grilled SPAM®, Pineapple Relish, Provolone, Teriyaki Aoli, Toasted Bun). This was fun. The patty was cooked well, the SPAM had nice grill marks on it. The relish was welcome, but there needed to be more of it. The burger was super salty, and the relish needed to help cut that. I also got to try the Kimchi Rueben (12 Hour House Roasted Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese, Kimchi Slaw, Thousand Island Dressing, Toasted Rye Bread). This was really fun. Very delicious corned beef that paired perfectly with the tangy, funky kimchi. Never had this before. Never even thought of it. I loved it. Overall, this was a very nice meal. I love finding great little restaurants in little towns.
