After two decent experiences with this company, I booked a third service, a power washing, expecting similar results. Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with the outcome--my siding was left streaked and uneven. When I contacted the company, I was told this was due to oxidation and sun exposure. They claimed the washing removed the oxidation, but the issue would "even out" over time. Apparently, if someone stands too close with a high-pressure hose, the oxidation can be removed unevenly. The company offered to return and rewash the affected side, which I agreed to. However, I couldn't help but notice that the technician had a child with him, who was holding the hose on the exact area of the siding that was damaged. The first area they washed was the side with the issues, and the rest of the house was fine. I'm not sure if the child was the technician's son, but the coincidence of this happening while someone unqualified was handling the hose doesn't sit right with me. When I mentioned the child to the manager, Brandon immediately became defensive and asked how old the kid was, insisting they sometimes have interns. Fine, but it sure feels like my siding got ruined because an unqualified person did the work. After waiting a full week for the company to follow up on their offer to fix the damage, I reached out to them myself--five business days later--only to wait another four days for a response. When I finally got a call back, they told me they had sent someone to my house to take pictures and assess the damage but never bothered to ring my doorbell. So, I had no chance to discuss what could be fixed. They also admitted they weren't interested in fixing the problem because I'd posted a negative review. Apparently, that's enough to cancel any attempts at customer service. When we did finally speak, the manager reiterated the same excuse--that the pattern was caused by the removal of oxidation and would eventually fade, but also warned it would appear again when I had my house washed in the future. In other words, it's permanent. And when things escalated, the manager insulted my home, saying I had "cheap siding" and that I don't take care of my property--despite the fact that I've had it power washed three times in eight years. So, apparently I'm a negligent homeowner for expecting the service to be done properly. The manager also told me that "the customer isn't always right," which, sure, I get it--but that doesn't give anyone a free pass to be rude, dismissive, and defensive. All I wanted was for the company to live up to its initial offer to fix the issue, but instead, I got insults and zero accountability. I never asked for a refund--just for the streaky, damaged siding to be fixed. Instead, I was treated with disrespect at every turn. In the end, this company not only failed to provide a solution but also proved to be unprofessional and insulting. Their refusal to take any responsibility, combined with their rude and defensive attitude, makes it clear that they have no respect for their customers. We used B&A power washing to power wash our back fence in the summer of 2021. The appointment went well, the technician was friendly, and it was a perfectly reasonable and pleasant experience. Cut to spring of 2022. I requested a gutter cleaning appointment for my Washington DC townhouse from B&A Power Washing. During the day of the appointment, I received no communication from the business saying they were on the way or when to expect them or anything of the like. I work from home, and did not hear anyone come to the front door all day. I didn't think anything of it, and, because it was a low-priority request, planned to contact them the next day to determine why no one showed up. In the evening, I walked onto my back patio and found an invoice for gutter cleaning. Again - at no point was I contacted saying a technician was on the way, had arrived, begin work, or anything like that. My doorbell was not rung (nor did the Ring camera pick up anyone at the front door), nor the front door knocked on - and I work above the front door so there would be zero chance I would have not heard them. When I contacted the company, they told me the technician felt it acceptable to open our back gate (which is normally locked, and was not completely locked that morning) and perform work with zero contact to the person at home (and again, without notifying they were on the way). I was then called a liar by the owner of the company for saying my front door was not knocked on when of course the Ring camera easily proves that. And, I was screamed at again when I questioned if any work had happened at all. There is virtually no chance that, working from home on the second (top) floor, I would have not heard someone walking on the roof. I paid the invoice because I do not want to give this company nor the incredibly hostile and rude staffer on the phone one ounce of additional thought. We originally scheduled power washing of our house with B&A Power Washing for a Monday between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. At 10:45 am that morning, we received a call that the appointment had to be rescheduled for the next day (Tuesday) between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. We weren't home that morning. When we returned home just before 1:00 pm for the appointment, we found an invoice with a note saying, "The wind is really bad today so if there is any missed spots, please let me know." We walked around the house to see how well the washing had been done. We noticed that there were still cobwebs and dirt in various places along the walls. We called and explained that spots were missed, especially on one side of the house. The person we spoke with said that they would come back the next day (Wednesday) between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. The next morning (Wednesday), we didn't see anyone return to re-do the washing job. At 9:45 am, we called to ask when someone would come to re-do the job. At that time, we also noticed that our water hose had been used. The hose was torn, and the adapter piece for the end of the hose (which we had left attached to the hose) was lying on our outdoor air conditioning unit/fan. We were really upset that the washing job was poorly done, that it was done outside of the appointed time while we were not home, that the next appointment was skipped entirely, as well as that our hose was used and damaged. We called again to explain our complaints. While the person we spoke with was rude and threatening, he did offer to reschedule the appointment to the next day (Thursday). We told him that Thursday would not work for us. He asked about Friday. We told him that we would have to check our schedules, after which he hung up on us. On Thursday, when we got home, we noticed the smell of chlorine. Upon further inspection, we found another invoice, based on which we understood that the washers had come again without having an appointment. On our back patio, the smell of chlorine was overwhelming. The walls of our house had white, chlorine streaks. Our back patio (which we recently had painted) had yellow chlorine stains. And the cobwebs and dirt were still on the walls in certain places. Since then, we contacted them again to explain our concerns. We were told that a mechanics lien and a judgement were filed against us. We continued to try to discuss the issues with the job to get them addressed. We were threatened repeatedly with legal action in a very dramatic fashion. We would be happy to pay for the job once it is done well, preferably with a credit for damage done to our house, including paint restoration and a fix to the water hose. read more

Yesterday, I employed B&A Power Washing to clean my backyard patio. I was particularly impressed with the worker, the outcome, and the "extra's". The job I had asked for was to simply power wash my patio deck. Not only did the patio look as good as new, but the worker went the extra mile and also power-washed the moss-covered back stone wall linked to the patio, and diligently cleaned afterwards my sunroom windows that had been hit with collateral spray. This power washing company needs a good washing of their own. Be very careful about giving your business to this company!!! I don't write too many negative reviews...I try to highlight only those businesses that I can positively vouch for but in this case, I felt I really needed to. Here's a brief description of the issues I faced with them. 1. I hired them to powerwash 3 sides (end unit town home) but they came and only did one. No explanation on their part but of course, they billed me for all 3 sides. When I called back and asked about it, they gave me a really lame excuse, something about miscommunication. They agreed to come back out the following week, but they refused to nail down a time. I have not seen them yet. 2. Price and discount - when I called they were very quick to offer me a 10% discount, but after the job was complete (or at least one side was complete), they said that that was a mistake and they should not have offered that. They absolutely refused to honor their original price. They claimed that they don't offer that discount anymore - funny because I had a friend call and they offered the 10% discount immediately. This should have been a very simple job and even if a problem arose, it would have been very simple to figure out a compromise or some type of solutuion. But they absolutely refused to take any responsibility. I can't believe there are companies out there that would conduct their business in this manner. I am completely dissatisfied with the services provided. Your tech told me my gutters were stained and would never come clean. I told him that was untrue he told me he would get on his ladder and show me by treating the gutters again. Once complete the gutter was good as new. I said "See they aren't stain, but standing on the ground and spraying 20 feet in the air has little effect on the gutters." That is when he told me they are not allowed to get on ladders. I said you just did and it works! ( side note: why does he have the ladder if he isn't allow to use them). I told him I was hoping to have clean gutters all around my house not just one spot. That is when he said his boss was going to call to explain and he had to leave. The boss never called but the bill showed up. What a waste of time and money. I could have done what B&A did with my own hose and had better results. Oh, and everything is extra! columns, deck ($1/sqft) and deck railings... and remember they don't get on ladders so if your house is more then 10 feet tall don't expect much. Update The owner makes it sound as if my house is a dump! My home is 4 years old so it's not like we are talking about 30 years of build up. So I can't say much for the "chemical" used. Simple Green would have worked better! Soon I'll test that theory using my pressure washer from the ground using Simple Green and I'll post the picks. Update: Owner just called me seemed like a nice guy. Offer to come back out but I already hired someone else to redo some of the work and complete the deck. Wow! Allison's reply to me about the process is a complete lie. I never spoke with him or his technician about pricing at all or anyone from the company. I booked everything online. I didn't care if the price for the service was $500 or $2500, I just needed my house power washed. I cannot believe this business man lied like this in his response. Wow, is all I can say. I also have camera footage from my property and from my neighbor's camera footage to prove everything I've notated in my review of this company. Not once did the technicians use a ladder when power washing, they were on the ground level (proven by the camera footage). Furthermore, not one time was pricing mentioned by the technician or myself when asked about the reason the steps weren't done as well (also proven by the camera footage when we were speaking). He told me it was a separate package & I completely understand when the technician told me it was a separate package (Can be heard on the camera footage as well). AND not once did I request that the technician(s) use a 36ft ladder to scale our home to wash the window. I simply pointed the matter on the window out to the technician while standing in the driveway & asked why was the matter not removed (as proven by the video footage camera while we were speaking). I'm stunned & appalled that this businessman would make my experience with his company all about money, me not wanting to pay, and me wanting his technicians to do something outside of their "norm"....and that he would blatantly LIE about what happened when in fact he was not present. Worst customer service experience I've had in years. I got the bait and switch. I have an email exchange with the owner where he ensures me he can clean our porch. When he arrives he says it can't be done. I showed him the email. He said he'd clean the porch. It was a fiasco! We spent more money and the remainder of the day cleaning our carpets. He kept insisting our water was not turned on. Turns out his hose was broken, which left large puddles in our garage. I requested additional areas outside, which were never touched. Wow! I got a flyer in the "coupon clipper" from this company, which I'd never heard of, and it reminded me of some exterior work that needed done on my house. I e-mailed in a request for contacting, and they called me back that evening! The rep was very understanding that it was a small job, but that they would still be happy to take care of it. They came out the next day - I didn't have to be there - and took care of it! (Brick on my chimney had gone black, and a small deck that never gets sunshine was green with mildew.) This company has serious process problems. After they didn't show up for the appointment, I canceled my service. I also told my credit card company not to pay the deposit they had already charged. Their customer care person was annoyed I canceled but refunded my credit card begrudgingly and made no attempt to make up for the inconvenience of not showing up. She sent me an email confirming my cancellation. Then, they showed up and did the work anyway when I wasn't home, which was a decent job despite the fact some of the flowers surrounding my patio were killed. This is the second time they've washed our house. The first was great, but this time, whatever solution they used they didn't wash off completely. I ended up with porch lights, fans, and doorknobs with hard, white deposits that they've still not cleaned off. They haven't even told me what I should use to get it off myself. And all the windows have large white spots all over them and need to be washed even though I just did it in the fall. I had a similar experience to other negative reviews. I had contracted B&A through Amazon for a gutter cleaning, with very specific terms and a price reflective of the job. Despite this, on the day of the confirmed appointment they showed up unprepared (they lacked a ladder to even reach the gutters), complained about the scope of the job (which they could have brought up before scheduling the job), and tried to demand more money despite already charging me $200 (and not having to equipment to do it). The owner tried to bully us into complying with his terrible approximation of customer service, but sloppiness paired with arrogance is a poor first impression. The advantage of booking through Amazon was that I was able to ensure B&A never touched a cent for their atrocious service. My neighbor gave us the name of her guy and we got a quote for half the cost B&A whined over. I had a great experience with them. I was told by my HOA that I had to get my siding cleaned. So, I started looking for someone that could help with that. The first company I contacted took so long to respond (4 days which is why i called B&A), that I didn't hear back from them until the day B&A had been over. Anyway, I sent B&A an email and was contacted by a very nice man who gave me a quote for my end unit townhouse and said they could come over the next day. I told them that no one would be home, but he said that was OK, just shut the windows and leave the outside water on. He said they would leave an invoice outside and I could call and pay after. Who does that anymore? And it was appreciated. He gave me a quote, and true to their word, my house was spotless when I got home. I called and left my work number that evening and a very nice lady called me at work the next day and took my payment over the phone. I called three other power washing companies in the area...one didn't answer their phone, when I did get through it was to an answering machine that did not even have the company name on it. Another company sent out an estimator to look over the property (which I was told in a rather unpleasant manner would take 3-4 days), another few days to receive estimate, and it it was 4 times the price quoted me by B & A! He didn't turn the water off when he left 4. The biggest thing that happened was that water came pouring into my windows while he was washing the house. I told him to stop and he did, but if I hadn't have been home, things would have been very bad. I called the next day to let them know what happened, and the people I talked to were very defensive and rude. They offered no apology and actually seemed to blame me for the problem. I was told when I called the owner that if I removed my bad review he would waive that fee. I believe this is extortion/blackmail. My deck was to be power washed and sealed as well as my siding to be power washed and waxed. The house was washed, no wax. The technician that showed to do this spoke to my husband and complained the entire time he was there, Soloman, and had been drinking alcohol. He did not complete my deck. There are several places they claim to not be able to reach but truth be told, from the owner's mouth even, they should not have to complete this as the technician was not aware of the size. Well, if you do not go to look at a job before giving an estimate, then how is that the consumer's fault? When you are given information and all you do is Google Earth the residence, well, that is a company practice issue. Now I'm being told that I should have been charged even more. Well, apparently all the negative reviews on this site, Angie's List, and especially on Ripoffreport.com have not changed their practices. The owner, Mr. Frye, even tried to go through Facebook to my husband to bully me into leaving this alone. My husband is, of course, on my side and since he could not bully us he is now trying to bill us additional monies for extortion. Without a written estimate, and the TOTAL PRICE listed on the invoice I received, how exactly is it legal to bill a customer for money to blackmail for their silence. They give quotes over the phone based on the specifications of your deck which is convenient. The price was reasonable. They were able to schedule the wash within days. Overall, the wash was good except close by the house where they either weren't paying attention or trying not to get the spray on the house. There was clear difference in this section. It took one a week for them to come back to seal - not the three business days that tell you. I had to call, but once I called they were out within a day to do the sealing. They only use clear sealant which I thought would be fine since the deck had been previously stained. Although I know they did two passes on the deck, I am not happy with the amounts on the railings and spindles. I will probably roll some more on these parts myself. Some sealant got on the siding and the lower part of the slide door which will require me to clean with a solvent to get off. In general they were okay. read more

I had a service done that was not done incorrectly, when I called back a very rude and defensive man named Nick was dismissive and passed me along to the woman that originally scheduled me. I told her quite plainly and calmly that i was looking at it on their website with my own two eyes and that there is a 10% discount that expires on 11/29. She refused to honor it, told me i was looking at an email or FB and that i was wrong. She told me she would not argue with me about it anymore and hung up on me. I am still in disbelief that any business would conduct themselves this way and all over 10% which would amount to $35. I dont think in the 15 years of having work done on my house i have ever been treated so disrespectfully and by TWO employees. read more
