I can't say anything more positive than extremely satisfied. I asked Performance Automative to…read morereplace the brakes on my 1948 Mercury knowing they typically work on more current models. The job was perfection, on time, more than reasonably priced, and at a detailed level that was promised (cleaning and repainting the wheel plates). They've earned my business!

Stay Away from Performance Automotive - Worst Experience Ever!…read more I brought my car to Performance Automotive to replace the brake pads, rotors, and calipers -- basic work that any competent shop should handle. Instead, I got one of the most frustrating and unsafe experiences of my life. They took two days to complete thats totally fine as i don't have any appointment. When I finally picked up the car, I immediately noticed loud noises from all four wheels, and even worse -- the brakes were not working properly. That's right -- the brakes were worse AFTER the repair. Absolutely unacceptable and extremely dangerous. When I returned to address the issue, instead of taking responsibility, the mechanic started blaming "duplicate parts" and claiming it was a different issue -- even though THEY were the ones who installed everything. He became argumentative, rude, and completely unprofessional. The situation got so out of control that I had to involve the police to settle the dispute. Unbelievable. This shop is not just a waste of time and money -- it's a threat to your safety. If your car is important to your daily commute, work, and family -- avoid this place at all costs. What was supposed to be routine maintenance turned into a disaster that left my car in worse shape than before. Do yourself a favor -- don't risk your vehicle or your life here. This place is a joke and a hazard.

The aftermarket brakes installed by a previous owner of my 2014 Mustang GT failed (pedal went…read morestraight to the floor while coming to a stop on US 380 - that was fun), which required a tow. I came to a stop in front of Safari Towing (convenient!), who were prepared to tow me back home at my request, so that I could investigate the problem myself. After talking with the driver about what just happened, he suggested that we swing by Butler first (it was on the way), since I expressed concern with taking a heavily modified vehicle to a regular shop. Paraphrased, he said "These guys are used to working on cars like yours". Can't hurt to at least talk to 'em. So we did. Within 5 minutes of meeting Alex, I was confident that his shop could be trusted to perform the work. He "gets it". I told him what was up with the current state of the vehicle as I understood it (it's always tricky buying an "enthusiast" vehicle from an...enthusiastic prior owner who's done a lot of unknown mods), and that I wanted the factory Brembo package (it was originally a Track Pack car) to be installed. Whatever billable research was required to figure out what the previous owner did, and what needed to be undone to achieve this, was fine by me. Ladies and gentleman, he over delivered. The aftermarket brakes that were installed on the car, required modifications to the mounts on the factory steering knuckles - necessitating replacement (and all the labor that entails) to return it to factory. As sure as I'm sitting here, he replaced the pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, knuckles, etc such that the car now had the Brembo package it originally came with for ~$1,400. All in. Parts, labor - all of it. Friends, that's not too far off from what it would cost me to order all the parts online, and do it myself in my home garage - which I was prepared to do. And he did it without me lifting a finger. And he did a damn good job. I could not be more happy with the quality of the work, the attention to detail, the ongoing communication, and the over the top fair pricing. This dude is my new go-to for ANYTHING I don't feel like doing myself. If I could give him 6 stars, I would.

Any shop that offers a 10% discount in exchange for a positive review should, in my opinion, be approached with caution. My experience with this shop was far from positive. A truck that had 250,000 miles on it and was showing signs that should have raised some serious questions about a failing head gasket. Instead, I was led through a series of costly repairs that basically treated the symptoms instead of finding the actual problem. Those repairs ultimately failed within a few weeks. They also installed what I believe were cheap aftermarket parts, including the wrong front struts. When I brought it to their attention, instead of taking responsibility and replacing them, they wanted to charge me to install a lift on the rear of the truck to compensate for the front end sitting higher than the rear. WTF? Another big concern was the price and quality of the parts. When I asked about the brand of the parts they were installing, which seemed they were hesitant to reveal, I was surprised to find what appeared to be nearly a 100% markup compared with retail prices. Their invoices also don't identify the brand or manufacturer of the parts, so you really don't know what you're paying for. In my experience, the parts were marked up an unreasonable amount, especially considering the quality. Looking back, I feel like the focus was more on getting me to authorize additional repairs rather than properly figuring out what was actually wrong with the truck, knowing Id probably just cut my losses if I had been told the truth about the head gasket from the beginning. I originally brought my truck here because I was trying to avoid dealership prices. Unfortunately, when I finally took it to the dealership, that's when I learned what was actually wrong with the truck, which was in fact the head gasket and the wrong struts installed. The dealership also asked me if I had ever used a quick sealant in my engine because of the sludge they found in the radiator overflow, the radiator that auto clinique just replaced. I don't have proof, but definitely raised even more concerns about the shop practices. I was so hopeful that I had found an honest shop, but sadly, I'd have to say they are far from it. And Ray, I'm not interested in you telling me how you offer a year warranty on your parts and repairs. Thank you
