I have feet that are about half a size different from each other, and which are flat. Shoe shopping…read moreis NOT easy for me. It's an ordeal, in fact, and one that I avoid for as long as possible. Runner's Edge made it a pleasure. I was greeted when I walked through the door and immediately it was like I had a personal shopper. She started by guiding me to a device that measured the shape of my feet, right down to the pressure points, and used that information as a basis for picking not only the right shoes, but the right insoles to try. She was exceedingly patient with me while we tried about 8 pairs of shoes (a far lower number than I usually have to try on), sometimes taking extra time to swap insoles and talk about what worked and what didn't. We eventually found a pair and insole match that was almost perfect for me, except my ankles would slip slightly at the heels. She had me try on a different pair of socks, and I was shocked when they entirely solved the problem. The end result was that I left the store with the most comfortable new pair of shoes I had ever purchased, following the best customer service experience I've ever had in a shoe store. I'm not going to lie; it was an expensive visit. I spent over $250 on the shoes, the insoles, and a few pairs of socks. But the products were of the highest quality, and they gave me a buy 3 get 1 free deal on the socks! It's a lot more than I've ever spent on this type of thing, but in my difficult case, it was worth it. They also have a "no questions asked" refund policy, so it's very easy for me to give Runner's Edge my highest recommendation. Check them out!

They immediately contacted me that the second item was no longer available and offered me the first item with free shipping. I emailed back yes and it was shipped promptly even though they were busy with expanding the store. Very happy with their service. If I were local I would check out the store.

Southgate Mall has gone through a number of changes over the last 3 years. Many stores have closed…read moreand have been replaced with different stores. Two of the larger department stores, JCPenney and Herbergers have closed, as well as Lucky's Market. The mall itself is very spacious and while there is no actual designated food court, there are tables and chairs scattered throughout. A food court would be a great addition and hopefully that will be in the future plans since they are still in the works of remodeling. The mall has a wide range of stores including Bath and Body Works, Dillard's, Hollister, Gap, Eddie Bauer, H&M, Champs, Maurice's, Claire's, Torrid, Buckle, Game Stop, American Eagle, Hallmark, Cinnabon, and many more. For the most part, the stores and the mall itself is clean and organized. You can't come here expecting to walk into a large mall equivalent to what you would find in Seattle, Los Angeles, or other large cities. Southgate Mall is a modest, single story mall that has a little bit of everything. In comparison to other malls in Montana, I would say this one is at the top of the list. Restrooms are easily accessible and can be found in three separate areas of the mall. I have always found them to be well kept and clean. At the time of my review, the mall is still undergoing changes and probably will for quite some time. One thing that has always remained the same is the cleanliness. You can always see the janitorial staff at work in different areas. I dont know about others but for me, my entire shopping experience depends on the cleanliness of the businesses I am shopping at. Southgate Mall definitely has that down and it shows. As far as parking goes.....there is plenty of parking around the entire mall. Granted, parking spots may be more limited during the busier holiday months and you may have to park further away, but I never find that to be a problem. If you aren't from Montana and are wondering if you should take the time to check out Southgate Mall, I say "Go for it!" The no sales tax should also be an incentive. :-)

Archer's Grizzly Boot - What a pair of whites looks like three years later, dirty, but still in perfect condition after a LOT of hard work.

A great boot store run by and selling boots for companies who still take pride in their work. The…read morestaff here are all veteran boot fitters who are more than happy to talk about what problems you have with your feet and what can be done to help. Griz boot is the place to go to get Whites or Hawthorn boots -- they'll measure up your feet order boots for two different size feet and sell you a pair of boots that might take a month to break in, but they will very truly last you an entire lifetime. (With a few sole replacements). And when I say two different sizes I don't mean just the number, I have two different number size boots that were also made to different widths, they don't have just a few widths, they have them all, and will help you figure out what you SHOULD have been wearing your whole life. Sure they're a bit expensive, but it's not because they're trendy, it's because they're quality. I bought a pair on recommendation from the loggers and fire fighters that i worked with, and have more than once since been told that owning a pair of whites or hawthorns is a marker of a man's character and work ethic. I used to think men don't pay attention to shoes, but apparently some do to work boots. So if those are the kinds of boots that you're looking for, this is the best place to buy them in the entire state of Montana, and that's not my opinion, it's a well known fact.

Now three years later and after thousands of miles on them, they again were able to re-sole them and again, the work is excellent and the turn around time about 2 weeks. I live in Phoenix, AZ and it's worth it to send these to Missoula. A fine price, quick turn around and excellent workmanship it doesn't get any better than that.
