Conveniently located right next to our hotel, this spot accomplished my main goal: getting food into my body--and happily, it tasted good too. I ordered a simple bowl with grilled fish, and it hit the spot. Generous avocado, beans, a bit of greens, all coming together for a fresh and tasty combo. It even came with chips and salsa on the side--nothing to write home about, but perfectly snackable. The only downside was the service. Staff wasn't very attentive and could definitely be a little more simpático. Easy, satisfying food in a convenient spot--just don't go in expecting warm, welcoming service. The inside was inviting, colorful, and a bit whimsical.

Run to this place! Ambience is lovely, staff are so nice and friendly , food and drinks are the best Mexican dishes I've had (and we eat a lot of Mexican all over the country!) My hubs had the chicken in grilled pineapple, I had the vegan dish with a nice variety of vegetables. Only issue was that their drinks were so tasty, I drank way too many. Haha! I'd definitely go back next time we are in town!

Everything a great Mexican place can be! Wonderful menu with the widest variety I've seen and good seasonal and daily specials. The wait staff are some of the best I've been able to enjoy the company of as well. I've only been here for dinner, but it has a nice dark warm light ambience. Suitable for friends or a date, although it's not exactly quiet if that's what you're hoping for

I stopped by Azteca for dinner before an event at the winery across the street because Mexican sounded good. Service on a weeknight was quick, and they were attentive. It was fairly empty, but I was in at an off peak time. I ordered the combo plate, and thought it was good, but not amazing. The chicken flautla and cheese enchilada were kind of small, and got kind of hidden in the huge serving of rice. The chips were almost stale. There was nothing particularly wrong with my meal, but nothing I would make a special trip for. I did like that you could make your meal supreme, and add lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream.

This was the second time,at this, restaurant. They do a fantastic job! Natalio was our primary waiter and he was smiling and very helpful. I had a build your own chili releno and bean burrito. It was very plentiful ! The queso and chips were delicious ! The inside is clean and inviting. The patio is very festive with flowers. Definitely will come back !

Authentic and amazing! We spent two nights here enjoying the truly delicious and authentic food and classic margaritas for me. The menu has something for everyone and we had to ask our fabulous servers for help on some choices! Mother daughter trip was so much fun here. Trendy atmosphere, talented and amazing bartender Robert and servers Nate and Hilda and all staff I will add their names soon. They were the best! Love this place! Price is very reasonable and worth every penny! We did not have reservations but it was fine and it's a big size eatery. Don't forget to try the tequila! Thank you!

My trip to Azteca went pretty well. First of all the food was pretty good, the chips were crunchy and the salsa had great flavor with a hint of citrus, the bacon wrapped jalapeños where honestly quite underwhelming and had little flavor but they weren't terrible, finally the Burrito Chicago was amazing, it was full of flavor and overall just tasted good. The service was good but nothing amazing. The atmosphere was outstanding, there were decorations and the music was great, on top of that the bathroom was very clean and it was very pleasant to be in. Overall I would recommend going to this place at least once.

We visited this restaurant on a late Friday night, well after the dinner rush. We were immediately seated and waited on. The restaurant was still fairly busy, with lively music. I started with a spicy mango margarita, and it was fabulous! I then ordered some guacamole and some (fried) fish tacos. My hubby got the steak and shrimp. Very nice presentation with everything. The food was exceptional, fresh, and hot. This restaurant has definitely done a complete turnaround. If you're wondering if you shrimp give it another shot, I'm here to tell you YES! DO IT!

I was hesitant to try because of other reviews, but now I'm left so upset that I've been missing out! I plan to be a regular! I didn't tell them it was our first time to ensure our service was authentic. They were attentive even though they were very busy, and the food was fresh, delicious, and great portions. This is THE best Mexican restaurant I've tried in the area We got the margarita flight for a friend's birthday, and for the price and size of the drinks they were SO worth it. The flavors are syrups/puree, so they were a little sweet.

I'm not sure why Azteca isn't rated higher with all of the reviews. I've always had great food, and even when swamped, the service is still good. I've probably been here over 20 times in a year and I'm never disappointed. Tonite was their simple yet fulfilling Taco special. Soo good!!

Delicious food, delicious, margaritas, and great service! I enjoyed the peach margarita and even more enjoyed the street tacos. I had the chipotle chicken tacos with a side of Mexican rice and fresh guacamole. I sat on the patio, which was awesome because the weather was perfect. Zero complaints! I definitely recommend.

Great service. Authentic looking decorations. I really enjoyed the tortilla soup. Very hearty. Perfect spice level in my opinion. The soup included a quesabirria which was shredded beef Birria style in a quesadilla. Very tasty. I appreciated the fact that they made it with corn tortillas for me. I also enjoyed the sangria which included fresh fruit. A lot of attention to detail. Love the unique faucets in the bathrooms!!

We have recovered from that nightmare and bravely tried it again #1- The restaurant was clean and smelled good from the moment we arrived #2- the decor was your typical seafood restaurant decor. It was cute but not overdone. You definitely knew you were in a fish restaurant. #3- Service- we did not wait long for our server Alicia to come to the table. She was actually a lot of help. We were going to order sandwiches, but they do not come with any sides like french fries. And believe it or not a side of french fries is around 8 dollars! Crazy I know. So she showed us where we could get a dinner with fish and two sides, which would've been cheaper than ordering à la cart. And the bread this time was actually very good. So if we wanted to, we could make our own sandwich. She was not just informative and friendly, but she did not hover over us but checked back once in a while to make sure that we had our drinks filled up. She did really good job. #4- we tried the Walleye and the Perch. These are supposed to be their specialties. They were good - but a bit bland. They lacked seasoning but they seemed fresh and cooked well. The food came out hot which is always a plus. #5- I liked the coleslaw #6- They have an outdoor pavilion for eating in the sunshine #7- They have live music- we will have to check that out!! So all in all they redeemed themselves from the previous visit! If they added Hushpuppies to their menu that would be great!!

There was a bar menu available offering sandwiches including a lobster roll with a cup of lobster bisque. We were seated in the covered patio and served a delicious meal of all-you-can-eat crab legs and walleye and lobster bisques. Food was fresh and served hot. Our Server, Megan was Awesome and kept the crab legs coming. I gave 4 stars since our walleye was delayed and didn't come out until we were almost done eating. Definitely worth a visit.

Until yesterday, we had a joke about Erie, PA, not actually existing. (I-90 runs several miles to…read morethe south of it for reasons some interstate planning committee could probably explain, and thus all you see from the freeway is a smattering of chain hotels on the outskirts of town). But on a trip back from Cleveland to Buffalo, we were hungry and looking for well-recommended places in Erie and the absolute hidden gem that is Chippers is what Yelp found for us. (Thanks, Yelp!) Chippers is an excellent assemblage of deliciously crispy fried things featuring seafood and chicken but also a surprisingly robust vegetarian slate. I ordered inside, was given a 20-minute estimate, wandered Erie for a bit, picked up the very-reasonably priced order, and we drove down to the waterfront to eat. I would and probably will stop back in Erie just for this experience. It's the bomb, as the kids used to say 25 years ago. Notes: 1) the collards and batter for fried items (the fried tomatoes are killer, btw) were approved by my partner, a confirmed Southerner--they do good things with seasoning to make food that often seems phoned-in at other places truly delicious; 2) the employees told a homeless guy that he couldn't come in at just that moment and then went out of their way to explain that they had nothing against homeless people or him specifically, but that he had caused problems and so they placed some boundaries on him. (They gave him the cup that he was asking for shortly thereafter.) I found it refreshing and wonderful that they were concerned that a customer might expect them to act with decency and compassion towards the less-fortunate rather than thinking a customer would simply want them to make that situation go away. It's a small sample size, but I think Chippers may hire good people.
