A great Mexican food restaurant with an Elvis atmosphere. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. My father loves the place and so do I. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who love this Mexican food. The proportions are large and we always bring home extra. Management is accommodating out outgoing. Enjoy! GG read more

Main St. on a weekend is a fun place to be. A lot of different shops and restaurants to choose from. Azteca a definite stop to check out. Great atmosphere! The owner Jennifer was so friendly. The place is very divey. It was karaoke night. I believe they do karaoke night Friday and Saturday nights. Don't forget to put your song request early because it gets busy. Food is amazing. Overall definitely going to come back! read more

Azteca - The owner Jennifer! - Mexican Near Me - Garden Grove, California

Food is excellent best tacos I've had from anywhere. This is my go to spot from now on. Get the Vodka Cucumber mixed drink.

The waiter came to me and asked what I wanted and I said I'll get taquitos and he said no what do you want to drink and I said I'll get a water and and a beer. He came back moments later with my beer but no water and took off quickly. Never came back to take my order for food but everyone else in my party ordered food. Maybe I missed something but this was just horrible service. read more

Azteca - Enchiladas!!! - Mexican Near Me - Garden Grove, California

We arrived after a show at Garden Grove Amphitheater, it was around 7pm on a Sunday. The place was empty, we had to ask someone for menus. I ordered a margarita, it tasted sour. We ordered an enchilada meal with a chicken and a beef enchilada. The beef tasted like Hormel chili. Gag! We also ordered carne asada fajitas....no sizzle, no sides. We were charged for sour cream and guacamole, staples with fajitas. The meat was weird...old . I'm sad that this was our experience as we wanted to enjoy a meal surrounded by an Elvis atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and go to Taco Bell. Big foul...The busboy? was sweeping right next to our table. EW!!!! read more

I've eaten the food here...not great but the bar is pretty cool. Love the Elvis themed decor. Pretty impressive museum type pieces in here all about the king in his heyday! The bartenders are friendly and attentive and the crowd is eclectic and local. If you've not been here it's a hidden gem. read more

Good food, excellent service, and nice atmosphere. Great margaritas and reasonable prices.

Came to Garden Grove for the Strawberry festival and finished the night eating here. The food was served hot, but alittle bland. The menu was substituted because of the festival so it was a limited menu. Staff were nice and the area was clean. read more

4.5 points for the cocktail spirit selection and Karaoke nights! We were invited for Karaoke night and as it turns out it was Christmas season. They had many contests and many great local singers. I was quite impressed. We did not eat but from what I saw being served around the plates looked more of a platter. The over all population was a mixed bag of ages. I saw adorable older couples ready to sing and dressed up with ugly xmas sweaters . To young good looking couples. We were a party of six adults and we all over all had a good time. I was hoping to our return but with Covid19 who knows when we will return. Lots of parking in the back but they do offer front row side parking also. They do offer traditional restrooms. Big booths to long big tables. The bar and the main lobby was full. This was a couple of years ago. I only hope they survive with this covid19. Sending all my best but so looking forward to our return. ps. the atmosphere is decorated with many Elvis Presley memorabilia and the look up and check out the sealing. The servers are on point! Super nice staff! read more

This place is awesome !!! But let's cut to the chase, this is also a bit of heaven for Elvis fans of all ages. Wall to wall and ceiling Elvis memorabilia. It's everywhere and it's all nostalgic and great to look at. And, they take this up a notch by including never ending Elvis music videos and movies. Fun for the Elvis fanatic for sure. Now what about the food, the service and the prices ??? The food is great, I personally love their enchilada sauce. The portions are not huge, but not small. The values is great as this place is not over priced and offers a great happy hour. The service, friendly and attentive. Yes the place is clean, yes there is plenty of parking and yes this place is family friendly. One last thing...they also have karaoke ! read more

Food, service and margaritas are excellent. We enjoy sitting out on the patio for lunch or dinner before a concert at the Garden Amp.

Met a friend there mid-afternoon who suggested this place. Hardly anyone there at that time. Got a cheese enchilada and carnitas taco which was huge. Carnitas good. The cheese enchilada was the best I ever had, the enchilada sauce was delicious. Service was efficient and super friendly. I'll be back to try more stuff. read more

The atmosphere is fun and lively, the staff were very kind and accommodating despite the place being pretty busy. Didn't get to try a wide variety of their menu due to time constraints but would go back. So good and great atmosphere. Loved the Elvis decor. Bar was private and very entertaining.

We stopped in for a margarita and a cold beer while at the Garden Grove Classic Car Show. We also ordered a side of guacamole which was very good. The chips were a bit stale, but edible. We enjoyed the green salsa, the red was okay. Service was good, prices reasonable. read more

A very kitschy vibe with a life size Elvis statue as soon as you open the door. We came New Years Eve, most of the other restaurant beside it were closed. The food is typical Mexican, taco burrito, fajita, enchilada, chile verde all served with beans and rice and your choice of tortillas. Service is fast. The food is okay, nothing to write home about but it is the restaurant decor that seemed the most intriguing. There's posters on the ceiling! You have to come just to experience. read more

This place good be really good or really salty. It does better when it's not busy. A huge Elvis memorabilia themed. It's very clean, spacious open feel with booths along the wall. Tables to accommodate bigger groups. It would be a great place to go when you have a large group. The service needs a bit of work, had to flag down someone to get some water, salsa. Waiters come order your food, drop it off, but no in between visits if any refills are needed. Chips- taste like something you get from a bag. Salsa -wasn't gave great. Asked for spicier one and they gave us a green salsa was something you get from a jar had no flavor or spicy to it at all. Tried the garlic taco -it was stuffed well with juicy meat and definitely taste the garlic. Chile relleno -special with cheese enchilada was so salty. I can feel the bloat coming on immediately. Portions are huge. read more

I made reservations for Friday night to celebrate my moms birthday. We were promptly seated, but important: there's a car show right out front of restaurant so the street is blocked. No prob there's a huge parking lot behind the restaurant! We ordered shredded beef burrito, Chile relleno and steak fajitas. Food was good. Margarita was refreshing. Kids meal was large. After dinner we watched the car show cars roll out at 8:pm. Overall great experience. read more

Enjoyed this funky spot with a central theme of all things Elvis! The Elvis Cadillac Margarita was fantastically made--1800, Grand Mariner and cranberry. Loved it! The Carnitas were good. Wanted something simple after my flight while enjoying a bite with friends. Service was good. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and welcoming. Will definitely come back when visiting again. read more

Nobody acknowledged us as we waited by the entrance. There were no signs that said "wait to be seated" or "seat yourself". I finally tracked down a waiter who told us to sit wherever we wanted. We opted for outside. I noticed that the people around us that were drinking alcohol were served much more quickly and paid more attention to. Never checked on us to see if our meal was ok. No drink refills. The food was good... but served ultimately sucked. Maybe just order to go. read more

This without a doubt the coolest Elvis Presley tribute I've seen. They have statues, pictures on the walls and ceilings of different Elvis eras, Elvis videos in big screen. This is my kinda place! And to top everything they serve delicious Mexican food. We came here for lunch not too busy. My wife and mother-in-law had the pork chili Verde. Helpings were huge and they said it was delicious. I went for the Rancheras Enchiladas, one cheese and one beef. Very good I loved it. Portions were huge on mine as well. You get four or corn tortillas with the meal. The drinks are refilled free....soda. tea and coffee. The parking is no problem. Park in the back big parking lot. This place rocks and had me.....all shook up! read more

I have ben coming here for 20+ years. The garlic tacos and enchiladas are good. Do not steer away from that or you will probably be disappointed. I am sad because now they don't play Elvis music and the Elvis movies are playing but with no sound . I will always come back but honestly it's for the atmosphere. If they added Elvis jams I would rerun more often. read more

After a period several years ago where Azteca kind of went to the dogs, very happy to say they are back to the way they were! Stopped going here back in 2012, and just recently returned. In fact over past few weeks I've been there for lunch, for dinner, and for takeout. Pleasantly surprised that the place is back to the good days. First, the food: If I was rating on food alone, I'd probably give Azteca 3 stars, maybe 3.5 stars. The food is average Mexican fare. It won't knock your socks off, but it is home-made traditional style Mexican fare that I would say is "okay" to "good". A few of the items I find above average, such as the shredded beef Chimichanga. Yum. What elevates Azteca to 4 stars in my book is the place and the staff. In case you hadn't heard, this place is a shrine to Elvis, and to a time when the rat-pack was big. Eclectic and almost kitschy decorations devoted to Elvis, the rat-pack, and the 50's/60's. Yet somehow, despite every inch of the place, including the ceiling being covered in Elvis paraphernalia, this is a really relaxing and cool place to hang out and have a meal and drinks. Add to that a good, friendly staff, and I just can't help love going here. They do have a full bar, and there is some seating in the bar area if you prefer to have dinner there. Elsewise it's the main dining room, which is decent sized. Azteca is located along the very small stretch of "historic" Main St. Garden Grove. Kind of a cool area, though not as large as other cities' "main streets". Generally I recommend to avoid driving down Main St itself, as there is little to no parking available. Instead, park in the large parking lot behind Azteca and you can walk in thru the back entrance of the restaurant. Tip: If you choose to go on a Friday night, just know that most Friday nights throughout the year, GG Main St. is the scene of a weekly car show. It will be very busy, and can be very crowded. But if you like checking out a lot of really fixed up cars, it's worth the extra planning to go. read more
