Highly not recommend. This place will sale your items if it's high quality then tell you we were supposed to send a text before doing so. By law you have to notify parties 10 days prior. I've noticed with 2 of my high value items at different times no update or 10 day notice before item was sold or sent to a different store then they don't know which store. Never again!!! And it makes it worse cause I have the funds just literally got tied up with life and now I'm out of a diamond ring I've had for 9 years. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! read more

The safety standards here are top-tier, which is great and very important. However, my experience left me confused and frustrated. I came in looking for a firearm for self-protection, and after carefully selecting one, I was ready to complete my purchase. At that point, the salesperson stopped the sale, stating that it seemed like I was buying the gun for my uncle. For context: 1. I mentioned that my uncle had suggested checking pawn shops for good deals on firearms. I never indicated that I was purchasing on his behalf. 2. I casually commented that my uncle would love this place due to the inventory. 3. The salesperson also pointed out that I was on my phone, which somehow factored into their judgment. I feel I was unfairly judged based on assumptions rather than facts. As a veteran, I have experience handling firearms and take purchasing one seriously. I understand the importance of safety and responsible sales, but in this case, the decision to deny my purchase seemed unwarranted. read more

For the people complaining about customer service, they may not have stepped foot in a gun store. These people are downright crooks I spent $400 on a speaker took it straight to the Cadillac dealer to get it installed on my amp and it was blown brought it back to the pawn shop and they refuse to give me my money after all the money that I have spent in that place. The prices are too high and the employees can be rude when they want to somewhat entitle I do not recommend anybody spend a dollar with Aztec pawn because with them the customer is not right. Very disappointed. I was offered less than 10% on the purchase price of everything I bought to them. $1,000 Watch was offered $75. I had a solid gold necklace and they asked me what I wanted for it. I had to not give them an answer after many requests by them to give them a price. They knew what they'd pay me, but wanted to see if I gave a lower number. They know what they're going to offer me, why ask me so many times what I want for it. Went to a pawn shop in Scottsdale and sold everything at a much more fair price. I just found Aztec employees to be rude. No welcome when you come into the shop. Just two rude women behind the counter that don't as much as smile and say hello. So normally I'm all in support of small businesses because I am one myself but this type of stuff which I'm about to explain is what makes us and others think twice about us. So I came in during the height of Covid-19 my purchase for a fire arm must of been beginning of March end of February okay so the guy short maybe Hispanic or native gentlemen helped me he said I'd have to wait and couldn't take my firearm because of the background process so he talked me into doing the transaction layaway. Which I paid majority of my total which was only maybe 168 or something so I do this layaway process and fast forward I show up one day the background system is down told to me by the same gentleman that helped me make the purchase okay so I leave give it some time and of course things are now extra crazy with covid and closed so I assumed they were closed because All the surrounding businesses were in compliance with covid stay at home order we had here for AZ. So unless they weren't open yet I showed up one day and they were so I waited. Okay I go today to finish out my process thinking I'm in the clear and the guy heavyset Hispanic fellow tells me they voided my transaction. He then tells me that a staff member noted that they called me and left a voicemail to which I don't have nothing supporting their fact. It was a scam they completely scammed me out of not just my money my firearm. I'm not mad at their process they have no integrity as a establishment as a small business probably family owed. They didn't want to help me, the classic difference among these guys and big box stores which have implemented return and exchange processes that help aid us all during this time. Do you think they had that NO, if they did they didn't mention it to me...So, like I mentioned they didn't want to help me. A lady called herself trying to intervene and helped none. The heavy set guy that I was dealing with even seemed rude because I said is there anyone that I can talk to about this and his response and I quote "no, I mean not really". Lol I couldn't believe my ears. I'm done with this pawn shop; you will be disappointed in your buying experience with them take your money for firearms to ammo AZ or the gun shop in Glendale on 67th Ave and Glendale Ave or the Pawn shop called pawn daddy on 12th street and Indian School or in that area, at least you'll be treated better. I would not do business here me personally. Had bad experiences. Not from the area just was around and seen a piece of jewelry online that I went to go check out. Was walking back and forth the counter trying to look for it ( there was 2 people at the counter one guy was helping someone the other was just watching everyone else in the store I'm guessing) I finally had to fetch someone after 10 min of looking for help. Just for them to tell me if it's not in the display it probably got sold. Ok whatever that's cool take it off online then next time so people don't waste there time. Decided to check out the gun area now since I was there, door was locked you need to give them your ID before entering understanding. But the way the women demanded it " Everyone going into the gun area give me your ids right now !" " I'm going to run up these people first then let you in" what the h... store already wasted my time in there looking for jewelry now your going to hold my id until your done with everything else before letting us in... I'll pass. If your looking for a gun and go in on a better day they charge a $20 background fee. Most pawns I been to are free and take less then 15min. read more

Great place, but more importantly, great customer service. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and ready to help. This has to be a direct reflection of the manager Mike. Had an issue recently that most managers would have told anyone good luck with that, but he resolved my challenge with the utmost respect and due diligence. I don't usually deal woth pawnshops much but I have a rifle on layaway with these guys and couldn't be happier in dealing with them. Since covid happened and my schedule changed, I hadn't been able to get down there right away to pick it up, but mike was super understanding and worked with me to find a day that I could get in, instead of just selling it and me losing out. The price was right, and any time I've gone in here to shop or pay on that rifle, they all have been helpful and run a good shop. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Very small as pawn shops go. I buy movies DVDs, blurays from here all have been good. However expect a lot of cussing and swearing. I lost count with how many f-bombs, and D-word was said by the male employee and one female. Not professional in my opinion. I am really disappointed in this establishment and business "ethics". I came in with my mom today because she was wanting to pawn her 2012 MacBook Pro. We were attended by a very rude female representative whom was a heavy sit Hispanic lady. We literally came in the door and waited our turn we said "hello we'd like to see if we can pawn this." She not once said a hello back or a polite greeting had a very brash tone and said loudly ID or DL then did her thing no good customer service and asked "how much do you need for this?" My mom said "I don't know 400?"She then acted like a total snake and started bobbing her head and speaking very rudely saying that we can't do that and started insulting my moms computer saying how it was basically trash and saying there wasn't no recent updates and speaking to us like we were children and had the worst attitude we were just standing there not even arguing back. Then my mom says ok will what can you do then she proceeds to go ask the owner and comes back starts bobbing her head again every time she spoke with an attitude and the owner comes out sits right next to her sees the way she's speaking to customers and doesn't say anything. I hope to God he pulled her to the side and told her how unprofessional she was. Last but not least my mom really need atleast a 100 dollar loan she then proceeded to tell the lady I'm paying long time customer is there anything you can do? She says no there's nothing I can give you. Ok then why ask my mom what you needed in the first place? Why the attitude in the beginning? A simple "I'm sorry ma'am we appreciate your business however for this reasons we are unable to this etc." But no she bobbed her head like a snake the whole experience I was livid and should have defended my mom from being spoken to that way. I will never allow my mom to come here again because of that representative clearly they don't appreciate their customers to be at least polite and respectful. And yes I get it there are people that go in their and are rude and act like trash. But people who just come in there in a polite way to be treated like that for no reason is disappointing.
