Be aware-…read more I took my phone here for speaker repairs that accidentally dropped a little bit of water a year ago and finally decided to take it here and there were delays along with non authorized fees. I was asked to leave it as they need additional time for repairs. Upon returning the next day, to pick up my phone the screen along with screen protector was broken. The shop didn't cover the cost nor repair it and added the fee for a replacement screen. As I'm using it that night, it felt very hot (overheating) specially as it was charging. When I touched the screen there's a shadow/ghost then an unresponsive screen appeared. I returned the next day and the they preform a hard reset. I mentioned to check the battery since it's overheating and his response was " after so many updates the battery swells" My IPhone didn't have this issue when I originally dropped it off but after the "so-called" repair to my speaker issue along with breaking my screen, additional issues arise. I don't recommend this established because my speaker still isn't fixed, and was charged additional for "screen" repairs that the tech caused along with damages to the batteries. Never had issues with my phone now it freezes and I have to do a hard reset every time it freezes for taking my phone here. iPhone 12 Pro Max.This place is highway robbery.

Back glass was $150 to replace and battery was $100. My appointment was at 12:30pm on a Saturday and I picked up my phone about 4 hours later. Back glass looks nice. Guy working on it was friendly. Battery honestly doesn't seem that much better, but you can tell it was replaced because IOS complained about it after turning on my phone. Their prices are about average. Online reservation and service selection was super easy. And folks working there were nice. Highly recommend.

So now the screen is coming off my phone and it has gone black. I went in to get it fixed and was told that the warranty is not going to be honored because the back glass is cracked. The glass hasn't cracked anymore than it was before because we bought an otterbox case for it when the screen was repaired. If you go get your phone repaired here make sure they explain the warranty correctly the first time.

Instead of sending it in to scuf and paying approx $100-150 after them having the controller for over 6-8 weeks, I was more than happy that Robert was able to fix the stick drift for more than half that price and same day. He replaced my joysticks with TMR joysticks which will be incredibly less prone to get stick drift and even it does, I can recalibrate the joystick magnets to fix the stick drift myself. Once you get inside, it's a really cool shop with a chess board, netflix, lounge-y seating, and H2O which I think is a nice touch and really should be mandatory in all Houston shops as it feels like you are walking on Jupiter outside almost year round. I was greeted immediately on both visits with a pleasant professional demeanor. I came into Kintech to get my dad's iPhone 5's battery fixed. The battery kept dying within minutes of being charged. Even after it was charged to100%. I took the iPhone to Kintech because of a recommendation and I got excellent service. Unfortunately the phone was worse this time. However, I took the phone back and they replaced the battery free of any additional cost and gave great customer service. If it wasn't for my friend, I wouldn't have ever known about Kintech. It might be a little out of the way for people that are not from that part of town but it's really a cool shop. It's great for cell phone repair with good service which is really hard to come by. They also have vapes and computer repair available (Windows & MAC). If you check-in on yelp you get a discount off your total. Can't go wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

The top right edge of the screen didn't seem properly aligned but everything was working fine (and I made the mistake of saying I didn't need my receipt) so I left it as is. Over the past months the screen has just come undone from the phone entirely. The camera is fuzzy, Face ID no longer works, and the screen will often stop responding to touch. If you have the money for it get your screen replaced by apple directly, it might cost a bit more but at least you can be certain the screen works and you will be able to trade your phone in at a later time for a discount. Apple won't take any old phones unless it has a "certified apple" screen.

He told me he needed to keep it for several days while he waited for a "specially made" replacement part from the manufacturer, and charged me hundreds of dollars for the repair. When I got the laptop back, the screen technically worked, but the graphics quality was noticeably worse. Everything looked gray and washed out, whereas the original screen was sharp, vibrant, and had much better color. I checked the computer's work log and found that the replacement screen had actually been installed less than an hour after I originally dropped the laptop off. That made his story about needing several days to wait for a special manufacturer part extremely concerning. It appeared that a generic screen he already had in the office was used instead. I paid hundreds of dollars based on what I was told about the repair and the part being ordered. Finding out afterward that the work log told a very different story was incredibly frustrating. Be very careful and ask questions about exactly what parts are being installed and when. I would not recommend this experience.
