I love going through the albums looking for a gem and I always find something. Azio carries books of all kinds and well catigorized. It is a comfortable place to find your treasure and helpful staff. Stopped in looking for a local record store and I was more than impressed! Not only a very solid curated offering of new vinyl in many genres, but also great vintage offerings! I was able to find some rare 80s albums and one reissue. Beyond vinyl there is custom album artwork created by the shop for display and a full book store with a lot of used books. I'd say it's a must stop, and definitely on Record Store Day April 22! Southern Cool is definitely the coolest spot in Brunswick county, hands down. Highly recommended! read more

Great local shop with antiques, old books and new books. This is the most organized, clean and well merchandised shop as the owner takes great pride in his shop. We visit this bookstore at least once a year on our trips down from Maryland and always leave with some goodies. Sidenote- I was very thirsty so I drank a bottled water in like two seconds. When I went to pay for my books he mentioned that the water (normally $2) was on him. Very thoughtful and thank you again. read more

Really neat place with a wide assortment of books, vinyls, and other odds and ends. The guy working there was really chill and kind. Didn't lurk and was helpful. They carry or can acquire harder to find items and you can also trade in books for credit. But I got the notion he wasn't fond of trade ins. I mainly wanted to get rid of books I had but wanted to make sure they were cared for. Definitely recommend! read more

Every year, my family and I make a point of stopping at Azio for many reasons. First, it has a broader, quirkier collection than other beach read bookstores and good music finds. Last year my husband found a stash of excellent jazz CDs for $2 apiece--one of which was very expensive on Amazon. I always find neat art books, and my kids always walk away with something. Quite contrary to the previous reviewer's judgment, we found the owner to be very friendly; he negotiates on prices and once let our daughter take a book home for free. This will be our fourth time visiting the beach, and we are very much looking forward to our next visit! read more

I was blown away by the great selection of books & records. I found several vintage/antique books (some from the 1800's) that were priced extremely low. Between the books and records, I was in heaven. I'm used to college town stores that are overpriced, picked over, and staffed by rude hipsters; I was pleasantly surprised to find Azio Media was the exact opposite! The staff was so friendly and helpful! My husband and I left with over 40 records and about a dozen books. Needless to say, I will be back whenever I come to town! Over the past year or so, I began collecting vinyl records. This was where I bought my first record, and I've been hooked ever since! When I found this place, I couldn't believe it because I live locally, and I had never heard of or seen it. The owner is very friendly, cool, knowledgeable and helpful! He will cater to your needs and will try to help you find everything you are looking for. I really love Azio's, as it has such a wide and unique variety of items that just can't be matched, and it also has great prices. I went to Azio Media with my husband recently and we can recommend their store. They do seem to have a limited selection of books, although we had no problem finding more tham we could afford. The store had a clean smelling selection unlike some stores that reek of mold or are very dusty. We want to bring in some books to trade or sell but don't know if they have space for any more books as shelves were packed. We will ask next time we visit. Maybe he will come out of hisDen. We had to knock on the den door to get him to service us. We were the only customers in the store. Odd little place but we will try it again. read more

Azio Media is great place to stop, visit and step back in time with your thoughts, as you look through the vast collection of reads, LPs and collectibles. The reading can be novels, magazines, and comics whatever your taste, Azio seems to always have it. If you can't find it, David has great resources to help you find what you're looking for, at great prices. If you are an LP fan or remember the days, I would be shocked if Azio doesn't have it! From classical, jazz, country, rock, reggae, hip-hop they seem to have it all. David has shocked me a few times of his items in stock or something you may be looking for, the young man knows the past and present. Easy people to talk to, take a look. Place is cool but dude is bizarre, swear the place is a front or something. Was just there to sell records, asked, brought the box in and dude starts making excuses about even looking at the stuff, first he says, can't do it now, have me leave the records with him to go through, says he can't waste the money to take the time to go through it now, place is/always is f*cking bare and devoid of people, keeps making excuses, says the records are wet from the rain outside when in fact I shielded them from the light rain outside with my body, just the box had a few sprinkles on it, literally from the trip to the car, he says look it's getting all over my table, which when I came in with the box, I *asked* him where he wanted the box down on, I even motioned to the floor. So finally, I go, whatever, just let me write down the ones I'm giving you to look through at least, and suddenly that's not good enough, and he's like, just come back another day. I went to Azio Media with my husband recently and I can't recommend their store. Poor selection of books, and what they do have is rather expensive and in shabby condition. I asked if I could trade in some hardbacks and the owner (?) acted very dismissive, like what I had wasn't up to his "standards" (even though I saw he was selling 2 books by the same author of my books! ha). When I couldn't find anything that I would use my trade credit on, I told the owner "Maybe next time" and he just said "Whatever" and flounced off into another room! Wow! I don't understand treating customers in a rude and off-hand manner, especially since the husband unit and I were the only customers in the store. I guess Azio's owner hasn't heard of a little company called Amazon where people can get their books cheaply and quickly. read more
