My Mr. and I wanted to go crate digging in the Jacksonville area and found Retrorecords on google…read more Was impressed with their reviews that we had to check them out. It's located inside an antique mall (The Foundry). There's a huge sign that will lead the way inside. I like the set up of his selections. They are categorized by genres. I liked that they were all organized. You cannot open the vinyl but They are guaranteed in mint and very good plus conditions (we checked when we got home) If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Besides vinyl, he does sell used CDS at a reasonable price. We walked out with some rare vinyl finds. Sealed Iron Maiden's Somewhere in Time, Nektar, James Bond Soundtrack to Moonraker, and Bootsy Collins. If you used credit card, they do charge an extra 3% on top of tax so make sure to bring cash instead. Other than that, what a great experience and highly recommend you visit. You may find some rare treasures.

I honestly wasn't expecting too much from it, but I was legit blown away by the goodies my wife and I found here. Of course, we're always on the lookout for new vinyl shops for some quality crate digging, and if you're looking for the same while in Jacksonville, NC, I definitely recommend a visit! It may seem small on the outside, but the selection is not small at all. Everything is set up by genre so it's easy to hunt for goodies. New and used vinyls as well as rarities can be found all over, along with used CD's, vinyl speakers, and unique collectables. The owner asks that patrons do no open the vinyls, but guarantees their quality 100%. All the vinyls my lady and I left with were in pristine condition too. As far as payment, the mall itself charges a 3% fee for credit card purchases, so cash is recommended. This is a true hidden gem for vinyl-heads in eastern NC. Check 'em out and tell 'em Josh sent ya! And make sure to get a Retrorecords button before you leave!

Even though small, they have quite a variety of collectibles. Including comics, games, action figures, records, etc. A nice mix of comics from 60s and up. A couple of old issues that I either have or have had in the past. It was a pleasant experience and nice chat about all things collectible.

While the shop itself isn't massive in scope, they are stock-piled with a whole lot of awesome stuff. There is a heavy emphasis on action figures and I saw plenty of the Marvel Legends, GI Joe and Star Wars figures along with several groups of classic toys as well, meaning older editions of this stuff that either were of their own personal collections or from others who wished to part with the treasures. Also before you ask, yes they have Funko Pops. Of course there are comic books both new and more vintage and while some of those are in boxes, the higher priced editions are up above on racks or the wall space to be showcased better. I didn't purchase anything despite having my eyes set on the brand-new Hasbro Cobra Commander. I didn't bring a big suitcase with me so I only had so much room to carry stuff back. The staff was friendly and I encourage all like-minded geeks to pay them a visit. There is surely a little something for all ages of collector.
