Every time I receive a check or cash from consignment shops, I am always given a slip of paper showing what my items actually sold for not just a receipt showing what they were listed as price wise. When I went into Nells to ask for my payment check, they just handed me the price that the items were listed for. Yet my check was less than half of what they were listed for and I said can I see what they actually sold for and she says oh our computer program doesn't do that how is it every other consignment store between Ocean Beach and Myrtle Beach can show you exactly what your items sold for. That doesn't sound right to me. I won't be doing business with them anymore.

WHAT A CUTE SHOP…read more I've seen signs for it on 17, etc., and never stopped. My mom and I met in Ocean Isle Beach for a quick visit and she wanted to scope out the Pandora selection while we were on a beach break. There's a big Pandora shop in there, they have Tory Burch jewelry, Big Buddha purses, and wall-to-wall adorable clothes. I found a dress I like and my mom got some charms, and we went to check out. Pencie - the absolute DOLL that greeted us when we got there - said "hey wait - what size are you" and whisked me away to a fitting room to have me try something on. It was a beautiful outfit from a travel line, a black slinky material, 3-quarter length sleeves with these cut outs on the shoulders. Very VERY nice, I didn't buy because it wasn't what I was looking for, but I am thrilled I got to try it on because otherwise I wouldn't have. She gave us her card and if I decide to buy, she'll ship it to me (I live about an hr north). VERY positive experience - all the gals there were just so friendly and fun, they made it feel like we were all old girlfriends getting together again. Well done, Island Breeze!

Our next stop was the one on Mr Joe White, we looked through the store, then I headed to the jewelry dept. The lady in there, Megan, was outstanding! I told her I loved old vintage jewelry and we looked at a couple of other things and all of a sudden she said "Hold on" and came back with the sweetest vintage (Edwardian) diamond and sapphire engagement ring. It spoke to me, and I HAD to have it, then my husband came in and we found a beautiful diamond and sapphire pendant, HAD to have that too. LOL Megan was a dream to work with and a true credit to this business. When back to my home away from home, we will absolutely be back, but only if Megan is working. The price we paid for both was fair. I know fair, and good pieces of jewelry, as I use to work in a jewelry store and have Crystal Champagne taste on a screw top wine budget. Thanks Megan!
