A deal can always be found at Hamrick's. This particular location is pretty big compared to the one we have visited in Raleigh, NC. Even though this is a pretty decent size store, for the couple of times we have visited, it has always been neat and well organized. The customer service is also a plus. When visiting Myrtle Beach, we look forward to taking a trip to Hamricks. We always leave with more than we came with. Thank God for trunk space. Plus, we don't feel like we are being robbed or over spending because almost everything is reasonably priced. I will say, on this last visit, there were a few items that seem to be priced a little higher than expected, but we will chalk that up to inflation. The store offers a wide array of gift possibilities for friends, family, and colleagues. This is also a great place to visit if you are looking to seasonally decorate your home on a budget. No matter what the holiday is, Hamricks has home goods that fit the season. This is also a place to go if you are looking for some great casual or office attire. I really wanted to be able to shop in this store, but they make it next to impossible. The store and the racks are so packed with merchandise you cannot make it down any aisle to properly shop. It is very difficult to figure out the pricing as well. In addition to that, the store was so crowded with people you would have thought they were giving something away. I guess that was good for them. The lines to check out went from the front to the rear of the store. My husband and I just gave up and left. This is not the kind of shopping atmosphere we want to shop in. read more

And We're back! Went here on Tuesday November 4th 2025 with my mom. First and foremost, went to the cashier to hand in a paper job application, since i finally filled it in. Cashier and person who I handed it to was pleasant, and of course understanding! After handing in the application, My mom and I looked around the store. We checked out the Men's section, which had clothes, accessories, underwear, socks and more. Then, we checked out the pocketbooks because my mom was looking for a beige pocketbook. Side feedback is that many purses here are small and don't really have sections inside the purse. I also was looking at wallets, since a long time ago, the button snapped off my wallet. Found a nice floral one and it was only $15.00! Went to the cashier and paid for it. Oh and if you are 62, one can get a senior discount, and since I went with my mom, the cashier was kind enough to let me use it. He also signed my mom up for Hamrick's rewards too! Total was $16.00! paid via credit card, and then went on my merry way. Hope to be back soon! read more

Yes, I love this store. Went on vacation with my friends and they took me to this store. I got so many bargains. Wish there was one near us. I live in Newport New Hampshire, so we don't have that store here so I really enjoy it so now I get the website and I'll have to order it from there. read more

Fantastic store with great prices for everyone. Kids' section, Men's, Women's, Petites, and Plus size clothing. Shoes, Skecher's marked down (I bought 1 pair at 70% off). Jewelry, pocketbooks, book bags, sunglasses ($3-5), Crocs, and my favorite brand Totes slide ons. Bedroom slippers, bras, underwear, pajamas, and slips. All types of household goods. Seasonal and non-seasonal items. Sheets sets, towels, bathroom and kitchen supplies. Odor neutralizer Pooph which works great for any and all odor control issues. Foodstuff and liquid flavors in a bottle - my favorite "Peppermint" which is delicious on ice cream and in drinks. Also, Caramel, Hazelnut and Vanilla flavorings. I have purchased hiking sticks at Hamrick's. My Mom was a customer from their early days opening in Greenville, SC. I have been shopping Hamrick's for 25+ years. Enjoy your own shopping experience. Hamrick's offers a hodgepodge of items! It's like a discount clothing, accessories, houseware, and random stuff store. The prices are fair for the quality. I'm not a fan but my mom loves this place! The store is jam packed with goods. It's easy to bump into things and you have to squeeze between racks from time to time. It could use a serious decluttering session! read more

Not handicap friendly. Isles are piled high with boxes and goods, racks of clothes will roll but are so close together a wheelchair cant get thru. Even checkout is split by a separating isle of piled up stuff. They could easily rethink what they are doing to people by pushing everyone closer together. Bad place to shop. Wont be back. read more

There's really nothing wrong with this store except they have no customer service counter. Dont buy anything you might need to return because you have to wait in the sales line. Today it took up the entire waiting area and halfway down to the back of the store. Dont let the lines discourage you from shopping here. I love this store I have no complates I took my mother-in-law and she loves the store to,Ive been telling everyone I see about this store and there has been some that has been there to shop and they love it to.My husband even likes Hamrick's and he's not one for shopping but he loves to shop in there just as much as I do. Good prices and good bargains did our christmas shopping there also found everything we needed, I'm planning to go back around march or April like I said we love to shop there and have No complates I'd rather go there than Wal-mart. One of the few places in Myrtle Beach area with mens large size suits, pants and decent prices. I wear a 56-58long suit coat and good quality not second blazer for $39.98 wool blend also only place with mens hats. Had an employee notice a pair of trousers mismarked size & insisted I try them on. Glad I did as the 50 waist was actually a 60 waist. Also great deals on eeee wide shoes. I'm a big guy hard to fit and hate ordering in clothes as half the time half to be returned.. Fair prices good sales & big guy clothes. Plus Jelly Belly impulse bags @ checkout. Lost a lot of weight but still some really good deals. Due to job My trousers & suits, sportscoats need a bit bigger to conceal protection items. never a problem getting a spur of the moment item. No french cuff dress shirts but they do carry mens dress hats and to quote a movie. My 13 year old calls this the "old lady store". I am 42, and I love it. The deals are great. I got Clark's flip flop sandals for $20. I already own 2 pairs of this particular style and paid $40 on sale for them at home. Some of the fashions are admittedly old fashioned. But for those whose style it suits, the prices are great. They had brands that department stores carry at much better prices. I found 3 shirts for myself, 2 of which were on sale for $8 each. Hubby found a couple of tshirts for 2.99 and a nice wallet for $10. The shoe section had some great deals and some nice brands. There is a large selection of purses at a good price. Brands like 9 West, Jessica Simpson, and Rosetti , just to name a few. Didn't have time to browse, but they had name brand bras for $20 and a decent selection of pajamas. The household section had some nice items. Prices of some things were excellent and others were average. I wish we had a Hamrick's close to home, but it's fun to visit while in MB and see what deals you can find! Cons: The checkout line is always busy and the lines are not organized. Not enough benches for bored husbands. A snack/coffee bar would be allow wives more time to shop. read more

Usually enjoy shopping there but lately the overpowering scents from the sachets in the home aisles is driving me away. I wish they could just put some out and cover the rest so I can have a better shopping experience. Penney's also has too many sachets. What's with these sachets everywhere!! Clothes are mostly styled for older women. They do have some good deals on shoes and things like dog beds and knickknacks for the home. That being said, the store is mostly always crowded with aisles that are way too small. I, frankly, do not know why people are attracted to go here. I love this store. I bought 2 sag harbor purses for 16.75 each. They also have a ton of sports related things. The prices are great. The clothes are more geared towards those over the age of 60. They also have a kids store as well on the other side. You will find some great bargains here. read more
