Overall, a fantastic dining experience with high-quality food and excellent service! Perfect for date nights, family gatherings, or anyone craving premium all-you-can-eat Shabu in the Atlanta area. There's different tiers that you can pick which one you want to order from, and the higher tiers allow you to order 2 specialty items. I felt for the price difference, they should allow you to order more than that. But at least those items were good. My family enjoys the wagyu nigiri, wagyu tartare, and the wagyu bone marrow. First you pick your broth, then there's a good assortment of fish, dumplings, vegetables you can grab at the bar to put into your pot. There's also a self serve drinks station including boba and other asian drinks. As I said, I'm personally not a hotpot person, but once my meat drops into the pot and is cooked, I honestly can't really tell the difference between the quality of meat so I can't tell you whether Chubby Cattle is better than regular hotpot places. Maybe I would know the difference if I came back and tried a higher tier though? I'm not sure. Aside from that though, I did enjoy my meal very much and left extremely full. If I were invited here with a group of friends or family, I would go again. I just personally would rather go for Chubby Cattle BBQ myself if it were up to me. The only downfall I really had here though is the table size. I found the table was way too small and we had a hard time fitting everything on the table and not feeling cramped or bumping into things on the table.

Now onto the food - delicious!! We ordered the sotteok and corn for apps and the ribs, short rib, and stew for the mains (forgot the actual names). The banchan was refreshing and plentiful. Nice that the meal comes with rice for all. We really loved the bbq meats the most - they were so flavorful and fall off the bone tender. Another thing I appreciated was how easy parking was. I had seen a few reviews mentioning parking difficulties, but thankfully, that wasn't my experience at all. There was plenty of parking available, and it was completely free, which is always a plus! The restaurant itself was spotless, including the bathrooms, which were impressively clean. I always appreciate a restaurant that takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Between the delicious food, exceptional hospitality, and cleanliness, I really can't recommend this place enough. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be returning!

I do not feel as though downtown Duluth truly captures the amazing food scene of the city, but again, an old friend did like it enough to tell me about it. Inside was pretty spacious. High ceilings and bright. You have to go up front and order, and they'll give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Pretty standard so far. It's not too loud, even with the music playing in the background, so not bad for hanging out with friends after the food is done, though we didn't. We were all pretty disappointed with our food. It wasn't bad, thankfully, it was just meh. We could've literally drove 5 minutes away for better, so we left as soon as we finished. The good thing is you get to choose what protein you want with your dish, which is nice. However, the chicken katsu here is thin. Also, the K-Fried chicken doesn't really mesh with the pasta. It's like a skewer on the side of your main dish. You can eat them separately and be happy enough. I was ok with the bulgogi, but I would've expected better from a Korean establishment. I haven't tried every single protein option, but I won't lie, tofu in pasta isn't the most appealing to me. For the main dishes, it was pretty bland, especially the omurice. You need the egg and the protein for flavor. The Schezwan pasta wasn't even spicy. At least the carbonara was creamy as it should be.

We tried a few samples, and eventually settled on a few different styles. All were delicious. Most breweries have a couple good ones, some mid, and some meh, but all of the beers we tried here were great. The same could not be said about the service, we had two bartenders, the first was friendly and helpful, the second not so much. This restaurant soft-opened in March 2024 and officially opened in April 2024 in the old Breakers Korean barbecue space near the defunct Gwinnett Place Mall, and I-85 at Pleasant Hill Rd (exit 104). It's spacious, but can fill up quick. We arrived at noon on a Saturday and there were still plenty of open tables. However, by the time we left, shortly after 1pm, it was packed with people looking for tables. Someone jumped on our table as we were getting up to leave. This is not a sit-down restaurant. Instead, you order at one of two touchscreen kiosks at the entrance and then wait for your number to be called to pick up your food. Everything is self-serve, from condiments to hot broth. You also bus your own table. Here's what three of us got: B3. Heo [sic] Naengmyeon ($16.99) - spicy sweet potato starch noodles with raw fish (should be spelled "hoe") C3-B1. Naengmyeon and Yuk Jeon ($20.99) - cold sweet potato starch noodles and thinly sliced beef pancake C1-B1. Naengmyeon and Dwaeji Yang Nyum Gui ($18.99) - cold sweet potato starch noodles and grilled pork neck D4. Kimchi Son Mandu ($11.99) - handmade kimchi dumplings My wife and I love naengmyeon. We thought Naju's version was good, especially in this fast-casual format. To nitpick, the noodles stuck together and the ice melted too fast. Regardless, I found the noodles to be delicious, refreshing, and satisfying. The spicy version came with a small bowl of icy broth on the side. The raw fish, beef pancake, and grilled pork neck were all tasty and of decent quality. As for the handmade kimchi dumplings, they were legit. Big and filling. In addition to naengmyeon, Naju also offers a variety of Korean soups (e.g., seolleongtang - ox bone soup and gomtang - beef bone soup) and LA galbi (grilled short ribs). During our visit, the pickup counter was staffed by a bunch of ajummas (Korean middle-aged women), basically Korean lunch ladies. I'd come back. We were greeted quickly at both the door and table. For a dumpling house, there weren't that many options for dumplings. We order two types of dumplings, a noodle dish and an entree on recommendation of the staff. The pork soup dumplings were very soupy on the inside and had a good flavor. The pan fried bao dumplings were alright but morning to write home about; I thought the bun to filling ratio was good for a bao though. For noodles we got the house rice noodles. I typically don't order this but I thought it was really well done with a good ratio of ingredients and flavor. Lastly we ordered the sales egg pork ribs. They were cut to bite size pieces but that's deceptive since they were bone in. Some pieces were all bone and some all meat. While the flavor was good, some might call it dry and the cut made it difficult to eat. While the seasoning for all the dishes were flavorful, I thought the salt was a little heavy. The price was decent, and at $78 for a 15-course omakase, my expectations honestly weren't very high based on previous experiences at other JAK restaurants. We had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival, which was a great start. I understand that lunch service operates on a time slot and they need to keep things moving, but having one chef serving eight people felt like a bit much. The entire experience felt rushed from start to finish. Everything came out at a very fast pace, and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. As for the sushi, unfortunately, it just didn't hit the mark. The rice on several of the nigiri pieces was poorly formed and kept falling apart. The fish didn't taste particularly fresh, and some pieces had a noticeably fishy flavor. The chef also used heavy seasoning on almost every piece, which felt like an attempt to mask the quality of the fish rather than enhance it. I wanted to like this place and gave it a fair shot, but overall, the experience fell short. While the service was efficient, the rushed atmosphere and lackluster sushi made it difficult to enjoy. Unfortunately, I probably won't be returning.
