The food is constantly changing and improving. Our Director of dining even solicits some residents recipes to try. Are they in the US on work visas? These are people you would be leaving your loved one with. Can they perform CPR, change or empty a foley bag? Be leery, they will tell you everything you want to hear, THEY DO NOT CARE! Outside of giving out the food, breakfast, lunch and dinner... most of the time, you'll see the caregivers on their phone sitting at kitchen counter or on the couch! Constantly!! I've been there when a resident called the police because of a screaming vulgar e change, main caregiver and another. I've seen over 1/2 dozen caregivers come and go. One caregiver refused to help a resident on respite , she got up to clean herself and fell hitting her head on the ground, EMS wanted to know how this happened when she just got there the day before. When you can walk into a place that feels like home (always clean, very comfortable furniture, cozy bedrooms, beautiful decor) and smells like home (three delicious home cooked meals) you know it's a special place unlike any other elderly care facility you have ever been to before. The well trained, 24 hour staff, is top notch and truly loves and cares for the residents. They treat them like family, because at Eden that is what we truly are...a family! They accommodate your loved ones likes and interests, favorite movies, music, favorite foods, and even celebrate their Birthdays complete with decorations! Before COVID we celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas together a few days before. We were able to bring our loved ones favorite traditional foods that remind them of home. This place is truly a home away from home. The medical care is exceptional. They work together with my Moms doctors and hospice nurse, always keeping me informed of the plan if anything changes. I know without a doubt that my mom is receiving the best care possible at Eden. Since COVID, Josh (the owner) took swift action to inform us that we are no longer allowed to visit in person. I know this wasn't what any of us wanted, but I am very grateful that his number one concern is the safety of the residents at Eden Estates and gladly abide. Because of this, all of our Eden family has remained safe and protected. He quickly set up an iPad so that residents can video chat with their families. I feel that he truly cares and has the residents best interest at heart. I have no words to adequately describe how grateful I am for Eden Estates and all of the staff working there each and every day. It has been such a blessing in my life.
