My apartment was in a very tired condition and it now feels like a completely different apartment with just two simple jobs. Noam and his team are very proactive, with submitting insurance requirements ahead of time, and very responsive too, more often than not they reach out to me with updates instead of the other way around. So eventually they finished the jobs smoothly and quickly, which saved me a lot of money and energy. And most importantly they are not a big greedy corporation, but rather a friendly family business. They actually recommended me to do less things and spend less money for a better value of the work. Noam is a humble and down to earth person. Even my doorman spoke highly of them that they're polite and quiet (another thing that's very important when you first move into your condo or coop!). Amazing experience with AZ Projects from start to finish! I was getting ready to move out of my apartment and needed someone to fix the place up to make it rental-ready. My friend recommended AZ so I reached out to them and the experience was great from start to finish. I had initially reached out about painting the walls, fixing up the floor (waxing or buffing). They were very responsive from the get-go, and transparent with all the service costs, providing an itemized list of prices for each service. They didn't try to rush me into making a decision and gave me time to review in detal. After thinking about it further, I decided I did not need to get the floor buffed since it was in fairly good condition. They didn't try to push back like many other companies may have and tell me it's better to get it done, and whatever other sales pitch is out there - I really appreciated that they didn't act "money hungry" and try to push services I didn't need and instead, respected my decision. Working with AZ Projects on the renovation of my parents' large and old New York apartment was a fantastic experience from start to finish!! It was a big job, including painting, wood floor refinishing, removal of 2 false ceilings and a temporary wall, and wallpaper removal. I only had to hire one firm and they had workers for everything I needed! Their owner, Noam Nathaniel, was great to work with - he communicated promptly and clearly about everything and also worked smoothly with the building's management who were not very welcoming to outside contractors. Most incredible was that there were NO COST OVERRUNS!!! Everything was billed to the original estimate except for a few new items which I agreed would be added on. Work was completed on time too. We contracted with A to Z projects to repair our walls after some electrical work, install a nib wall, prime and paint 2 coats to our apartment. The work was not completed, and the original quote given to us excluded several items, which he neglected to tell us, but came to collect once the project began - significantly increasing the total cost and which Noam Nathaniel required immediate payments for and followed with multiple calls to multiple people incessantly. We were not on site during the project, and Noam was giving us false updates of progress that were just not happening. He was never onsite for the work himself and his team left the walls a mess with scuff marks everywhere, paint drippings, nicks in the wall, and sloppy spackling. The trim throughout the apartment was never even painted even though we paid for primer and two coats of paint. His employees did not follow the building's protocol which led to several complaints from the management office regarding unprofessional work, including a $1,300 charge after his team broke the elevator. After seeing the "final" product, we spoke and provided evidence (pictures) of the shoddy work and he agreed that the job wasn't complete or up to his usual standards. He asked to have the opportunity to return and fix the issues, however he once again did not show up himself and sent others who didn't cover our furniture, floor or belongings and once again did not finish. After discussing the fact that they didnt do a good job, or even a complete one, he said he would call me back about a refund after discussing with his father, who apparently runs their finances. He has since refused to return my calls and I believe has blocked my number. I am legally blind and I think he tried to take advantage of my disability to get away with sloppy work. Either way the additional charges throughout and not finishing the project are unacceptable. read more
