He then continued pushing additional repairs related to the rails. One door did need trim replacement due to sun exposure, but after doing some research later, I realized I paid significantly above the industry standard for the work that was done. The technician was extremely pushy and would not take "no" for an answer. Another frustrating issue happened immediately after the tune-up. One of my garage doors would not close because the safety eyes were misaligned. Mind you, I called right away and these were supposedly adjusted during the "tune-up." When the technician returned later to install the weatherstripping, he told me he would have to charge me another service call just to fix the issue--even though it was directly related to the work they had just performed. What really bothered me was that I mentioned I'm currently recovering from cancer and that money is tight right now. That didn't stop the representative from continuing to pressure me for additional services and add ons. I honestly feel bad for elderly homeowners or others who may be more easily persuaded under these kinds of tactics. This company advertises well, but in my experience they do not truly care about the customer. I strongly suggest going elsewhere for your garage door needs.

Verl was easy to reach and his communication was prompt, so arranging the appointment was no trouble. He showed up on time, which was also a big plus. Prior to my appointment I had done a good amount of researching garage doors and the many potential quirks that can arise, so I had an idea where the noise was coming from and what it possibly could be. As it turned out my hunch was correct and the issue was nothing too serious. According to Verl's expertise, nothing that a little silicone spray onto the roller bearings couldn't tame down. Verl sprayed down all the roller bearings with silicone and then tested the door's operation, opening and closing it a few times to begin working the lubricant through. ...Since then, with the sprayed silicone now working its magic into all the roller bearings, the door's begun operating more quietly again, sounding closer to normal. Due to the fact that Verl honestly saw nothing seriously wrong beyond some much needed silicone he charged nothing; whereas many other companies might have saw an opportunity to charge both an initial service fee PLUS labor.
