This is the worst Russian manicure I've ever had. I am in NY for work and needed a last minute Russian manicure and found Aya via a tiktok review about one of the techs. I wasn't able to book with that tech, but booked a "top tech" hoping they would have similar skill. From the jump my tech started off very rough, drilling very fast and hard with gel dust getting all over my arms because of how hard she was going. When she got to drilling my cuticle, she stared at her phone three separate times WHILE DRILLING, before I finally had to ask her not to look at her phone. The drill bits and nippers looked like they had rust or discoloration on them fresh out of the sanitizer bag, so I'm skeptical of their cleaning processes. My cuticles turned out clean, but the tech was pretty careless and unskilled at shaping the sides of the nails and the apex of the nails are pretty irregular. This may sound nitpicky, but if you are paying $135 for a manicure, you expect very high quality. Overall, Aya does not deliver the high quality mani expected of a Russian manicure, this is an average gel manicure experience that you can get for $70 anywhere else. read more

DONT GO. 0 stars for customer service. I have been a valuable customer for this company for over a year booking monthly appointments. Never needing to cancel in all of the times I have been there. They claim that you get charged in full for the appointment price if it is within 24 hours. I messaged them before that and they went on to charge me $96.53. I work in fine jewelry and people always asked where I get my nails done and I highly recommended them for over a year now. May I say, I will never be doing that ever again. I came down with a stomach flu AFTER confirming Saturday evening. Sunday evening once I had spent an entire night vomiting I texted to cancel my appointment. (my appointment was Monday at 2:30). First of all, I love hearing people speak Russian and Uzbek as I am from Uzbekistan. Shout out to my people! They offered two types of manicures- gel or natural. I opted for the natural and she gave me the round shape that I wanted and meticulously made sure that my nails were clean and that I like the shape and I was happy. This is a very professional place and people are kind and do a great job. I've had many manicures in my life, but this is by far the best one. I've been coming here for years and this time one of the ladies cut my cuticles so bad I was bleeding from 4 different nails even after I got home. I am beyond appalled by this establishment's billing practices. My friend has been a loyal customer for years and has never once canceled an appointment. The one time she had to cancel -- because she had been in the hospital the night before -- they charged her card the full price of the service without informing her. She only discovered the charge when she checked her bank account. When they rescheduled her appointment, they said "no problem" and failed to mention that they had already charged her in full. To make matters worse, when she showed up for the rescheduled appointment, they charged her again for the service -- meaning she paid twice. At no point was this clearly communicated or explained. This is completely unacceptable and extremely shady business practice. Charging a loyal client full price without notice, then charging again at the next appointment, shows a serious lack of transparency and integrity. Great customer service & quality manicure! I have been addicted to Aya Nails ever since I tried them last Spring 2023 for a major trip. I have not gone anywhere since. Extremely meticulous detailed work. My gel manicure lasted over 5 weeks! As they got longer I just filed them down and No chipping at all! Costly but worth it (for me)! Not all the technicians have the same skill set so if you find your favorite(s) you have to book your next session in advance! They have a new location with more tables so more opportunities to book. OK, SO, my manicure was definitely good - but this place is so expensive and greedy. They wanted an exorbitant amount of money to do simple nail art, on top of a manicure that was already over $100. When I got chrome, it chipped off within a week (they did offer to let me come in to fix it) You need to book at least a month out, but my nail broke a few days before my next appointment. They told me that they could see me the next day for my service, but it would cost 50% more ON TOP OF THE $200+++ THEY'RE CHARGING FOR A MANI PEDI (are you kidding?!) She takes time to consider the state of my nails and the exact shape I want so we are on the same page. I've shown her ideas and she went above and beyond to custom mix shades until I was happy. She didn't rush me or make me feel like I was being annoying for asking to make slight changes. She took her time grooming my cuticles, she leveled out a dip in my nail from another salon's electric file, and painted my nails with so much attention to detail that the manicure looks immaculate.
