Durango combo
Lydia R.

I recommend this place regularly. Food is fantastic. No matter what we have ordered it comes out fresh and hot. Always clean when we come in for lunch or dinner. Service usually depends how busy they are. If its packed in there service is a little slow but they do try their best to get to everyone. Once your order is in the food comes out pretty quick. My favorite dish is usually the Durango combo with a fajita skirt and chicken stripes. Come with rice, beans guacamole and some picó de gallo.

Carne Asada

We got the queso with chorizo as an appetizer and it was okay but I wish there was more chorizo than peppers in the queso. I got the Carne Asada with rice and beans and it was phenomenal. Service was great. We were seated quickly and the server was very attentive. The chairs were hand made and the whole restaurant had a very authentic vibe. The drinks were probably the best part though. This place is a hidden gem in Clermont!

Service and ambiance are fantastic!!! The food is delicious and always comes out piping hot. If you come get the flan!!!!!

An average meal. 4 hand made tacos, excellent refried beans and yellow rice. The pico and guac are excelldnt

Whenever my son comes down to visit me he always asks to go eat here and I am here for it. They start u off with some tortilla chips and salsa with fresh cilantro. Menu is great. Everything I have had has been wonderful especially the tacos el pastor. The pricing is decent. You aren't breaking the bank going here and the portion size is right. The atmosphere is great. Excellent frescoes everywhere. Great music. The service here is excellent. I would highly suggest checking this place out.

The food and service at ay Jalisco rarely disappoints, especially if you go east or west on hwy 50. Though the prices have gone up since the menu redo, the portions will leave you with plenty to eat for the next day...or more. I believe the indoor seating needs a lighter balance, but with the right temperature, we always sit outside. I always order my eats to go to save the time on the staff as it is just going to happen. Another point on the food, with the prices of the appetizers, one shouldn't have to order two of the poppers to satisfy....being one who knows how to buy, make, and eat those bad boys. The nachos need a bit of work as they come out looking like a lump of cheese and ingredients. I almost would take the table nachos and use the ingredients as a dip. The burritos are full of seasoned meat, but for kids especially, you might want to get a small side of salad to break up the meat. Drinks Always on point, with no problems on refills or to go orders.

I'm never disappointed when I come to Ay! Jalisco. The food is so delicious, like someone's grandmother is cooking the food. I had the steak fajitas and my daughter had the Enchilada and Burrito plate. We also had the Patron Margaritas, delicious. I definitely recommend coming here for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Reupholstered the booths! Much better now!

I first came here in 2013 and I've been back at least once a year since. The food is good. Standard Mexican fare so it should meet your expectations. The soup and mussels can be very hot so beware if you can't handle the heat. Service is ok. We've had a few things messed up and take a lot longer than they should in the last few visits. They really need to work on that. This place can get very busy so be prepared for a wait on busy on Friday-sat. I've left multiple reviews for this place, but they've somehow disappeared. The restaurant has made many upgrades and expansions over the years so it's nice inside. Parking space is usually adequate.

5 stars for an amazing experience, delicious food and attentive service. I kept driving through this place and I noticed that it is always PACKED! So I knew I was missing out and wanted part of the action, so husband and I went for lunch and I'm happy we did. We went on a Thursday for lunch (roughly 3 PM) and it was not packed. There were a couple of patrons. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated, but I'm sure there is usually a wait during the dinner rush. Ok - the house chips was ok, nothing too excited. They were just tasty but nothing like "bam"! The salsa, however, was very delicious and you can tell the attention went there lol. The menu is very broad and loaded with offerings. They have like three specials for random times which are located towards the end of the menu lol. Luckily, our plates were in the early bird section (time between 3 ish and 5 ish). Overall, our waiter was always attentive, the decor inside was beautiful and the food AMAZING! Food came out right on time too. Can't wait to go back!

Chipotle fajitas

Really disappointed with everything I had . Sadly right from the beginning the salsa tasted like ketchup and it was warm . (Ask for the green spicy salsa ) it's better than the red one they bring out upon sitting . The rice was so bland and stale . Same with beans guac . The chipotle fajitas mediocre. There was no chipotle flavor not even a hint of spice from real chipotle peppers . Service was okay . Listening to a bunch a employees talk about what they wanna eat tonight and what's good or not on the menu sitting right behind you , isn't necessarily what you wanna hear while your dining in right next to them .

Food was tasty. Service was slower than usual. It may be the Covid staffing shortage?

Just moved back to the area after several years away. Not the quality I remembered. I'll give it another try before I remove from my list.

Good drinks but food is gummy stuff you find at any fast food joint featuring Mexican food. Go elsewhere, is my opinion.

From the homemade "smoky verde salsa" of the chips, to the fluffy tortillas that are wrapped around my Ceviche Burrito con Pollo or companion's barría tacos. The rice was in the burrito and it was fresh and fluffy as well. The pollo was cubed perfectly and did not overwhelm the burrito. The cheese sauce was light and flavorful. This was as 'authentic' and scratch made as any restaurant food, of any style, I have ever eaten. Do not walk, but run! We came from Tampa and this was a random find (on Yelp, of course!) that we will be returning whenever we are in this area. Gracias por ¡Una comida excelente y un servicio amable y cortés durante nuestra visita! I will give it only my third A+ rating!!

We ended up ordering an Asada (steak), shredded beef and El Pastor (Marinated pork) taco's that were definitely authentic Mexican street taco's that reminded me of the taco's I get on my annual trips to Mexico. All the the taco's were well made with fresh ingredients (corn tortilla's, choice of meat, sautéed onions, cilantro) and most importantly were quite tasty. prices were very reasonable ranging from $3 for the El Pastor to $4 for the steak. Relative to the chips and Salsa they were OK but I definitely have had better at the Mexican restaurants I frequent. The restaurant itself is a bit deceiving where it has a rustic appearance on the outside where the inside is much nicer with a bright clean interior and a bar that makes assorted cocktails. The Axiom of not judging a book by its cover applies here. Relative to the menu it is definitely on the unique side as it serves both Mexican and Peruvian food where the Peruvian food entrees sound/looks very enticing as it is something I have never tried before. Relative to staff they are very friendly, with good service where language might a bit of a problem where the waitress I had seemed to struggle a bit with English. But hey, that's how you know the food is authentic right (: Overall a very nice restaurant that I plan on returning to where the next time I will be sampling some of their Peruvian dishes! If your in the area and are a fan of good Latin style cuisine you should definitely check this place out.
