It gives me no pleasure to write this review. I met German through initial jobs to clean my HVAC…read moresystems and he did a great job. He was very detail oriented and strived for excellence. I was so impressed that I tipped him and his son. This summer I hired him to take care of odds and ends with my HVAC that others refuse to do (e.g., finish installing fresh air ventilation system, reduce noise from bath fans, etc.). We agreed on $2800 for the job. German and his team got 80% of the job done in 1 day. I was not there when the job was finished and anyways there were a lot of details, so I took the next few days to make a punch list. It was 8 items long, mostly really small things (e.g., adding mesh screen to fresh air intake so birds don't get in). Some of them were just questions that could be clarified with discussion. I decided to pay the balance on the job even without going over the punch list with German because I was so impressed with him and I thought I have no reason not to trust him. And then for some unknown reason, things went south. I tried many many times to call and text German to find a time to go over the list and most of the time I got no response. A couple times he said he'd call me at a certain hour so I cleared my calendar to make sure I was available at those times and still he didn't call. No apologies, nothing. I really couldn't believe it since I thought so highly of German. A couple months after the job, I decided to start working on the punch list myself, either performing the work on my own, hiring my carpenter to do it, or deciding to accept existing performance. I got the list down to 1 item. I called and texted German a few times to try to engage him on this 1 item that really requires an HVAC professional and to try to end things on a positive note. Still nothing. So now I've decided to end the relationship and leave reviews. I'm sorry to have to do this because I think German does great work but the post-job experience has just been terrible. At times I have felt like I'm begging for him to engage with me and yet I'm the customer! I really wanted to refer him to my brother who needed to replace his HVAC system but I couldn't given the last few months. I hope this review is helpful to you as you make your HVAC professional selection. Best of luck.

Their pricing is fair, the service is great, and the technicians and office staff work as a well-oiled TEAM to get the job done. I'm always served by pleasant, respectful and honest people over the phone, in the office, and in my home. Most recently Paul (sr. technician) Chris (technician) and Jamie (office manager) came to my rescue during a summer heat wave when a neighborhood-wide power surge took out the motor in my HVAC system's air handler and also affected the thermostat. Although it was the height of their busy, hot season, and Paul had already worked 14 hours, he came to my house to diagnose the problem. Jamie located a matching motor, and Chris came the next day to install a new motor. That weekend, the temperature hit 100-plus degrees outside, but I was happy in my Delta-cooled house. Thank you, Delta.

In addition, the ceilings were textured throughout the unit when I moved in, and I had them smoothed out, which kicked up a TON of dust. I hired DUCTZ of NOVA to do a basic cleaning of the vents around the unit for the dust and use an odor eliminating spray for the cigarette smell as well. The two workers arrived right within the window of time we had scheduled, were very kind and understanding (I live on the third/fourth floors of a building with no elevators, and they had heavy equipment to carry up) and got to work immediately -- keeping me totally informed along the way. Eventually, they showed me photos of my HVAC fan and coils, which were absolutely covered in dust and even pointed out some mold that was growing in it. They calmly and patiently answered all of my questions, explaining how the system was being affected and what I could expect down the line, and in the end I decided to have them do a deeper cleaning to get rid of all the dust, grime and mold. They did it all right then and there and even took "after" photos to show me the huge difference it had made. It's been about a day since they came and my home feels fresh and clean, and there's no more cigarette stink!! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. The scheduling process was easy, workers were good at their job and had a positive attitude, and the price was very favorable. I can now "breathe easy" knowing my HVAC has been taken care of (ha)!

When I replaced my HVAC system 3 years ago, I made the mistake of not going with Brennan's then. And as soon as the previous contractor flaked on the follow-up service, I knew who to call. Ever since then, Brennan's has done what a good HVAC company should do. They remind you when you are ready for a seasonal system check. They even make a point of giving you the same tech, so you are getting a knowledgeable person at your home. When I commented that I'm not getting great air flow to the 2nd floor, he checked all the dampers in the basement, and we found the one that was limiting air flow to the top floor. He labeled every damper so if I wanted to manage it differently down the road, I'd know what to do. When I commented about another problem (non-HVAC) he gave me a great recommendation of who to call. I appreciate Brennan's because they value the Customer, and they truly understand what good service looks like. In today's day & age, that is a rare commodity.

I paid nearly $300 for the service call but left without clear, actionable information. I appreciate the prompt service and courteous technician, but I hope the company can improve its diagnostic process, communication, and customer experience.

I was contacted by the office at 3:20 PM that the 2nd crew will be out in a hour. When I asked will this be completed in the 45 minute window they have now created? The response was the tech has been working for +20 years and he will have it done. I knew this was not going to be an easy fix. I requested a supervisor to call me ASAP. I then had to go get my children early from daycare knowing they won't be done on time. The tech arrives at almost 4:30 PM! I was visibly upset at this point and showed him what needed to be fixed. I later calmed down but this is the most disrespectful thing you could do to a customer. The tech completed the work at 7 PM..... I never received a call from a supervisor.... I then had to call 2 more times to get photos of the repairs completed! You might get your requests completed but don't bet it will be done in a timely manner.
