That changed with the new person at the front desk. When I dropped off my radiator, he was in the middle of an argument with the previous customer -- I don't know the details, but it was an odd thing to walk in on. When it was my turn, he looked at my radiator and, without inspecting it, declared it "plugged" and said it would need a tank removed to rod out the tubes. I looked myself and saw corrosion on the outside of the tubes, but the ones I could see inside were clear. I pushed back, and he clearly didn't like that. After some back and forth, I said I just wanted it hot tanked, cleaned, and pressure tested. He agreed: $85, ready in about a week. A week later I got word it passed the pressure test. When I picked it up, it hadn't been painted and the fins hadn't been straightened -- something A1 has always done as a matter of course, no request needed. I can't help but suspect he told the tech to skip those steps because of our disagreement at drop-off; I can't prove that, but the timing is suspicious. When I raised it, he got defensive and said for $85 he couldn't do all that. I'd have gladly paid $100-125 to have it done right. I don't know if this is his call or a management decision, but I'll be looking elsewhere next time, and so will the friends I used to send here. Genuinely unfortunate -- thirty years of loyalty undone by one guy at the front desk who's more interested in upselling than in the customer.

I asked ken for help diagnosing the problem and getting parts, ken knew right away that my water pump was toast. He let me pull my truck into their lot and start tearing apart the motor, lending me tools and answering any question I had on how to replace the parts. Justyn spent most of his day giving me tips and even driving me to oreillys to pick up parts. I was able to get the new water pump installed and get back on the road before sundown. It was an absolute blessing to have broken down in front of MKS diesel. Justyn and Ken saved the day and helped me when I had no money or anything to offer them. I'm forever grateful for them and their generosity sharing their knowledge. A catastrophic break down turned into one of my best memories on the road. My experience with the owner Ted was terrible. Ted cannot be trusted because he is a liar and…read morescammer. With an automotive business it does not get any worse than that. I was towed here from highway 447 which cost a lot of money, I was then told he would fix my vehicle for x amount of money. I paid for a hotel next door and waited until the next day for updates on diagnosis and if the cost would be more than the quote he gave me. The communication was little to none (I called a few times to check in since he was not giving me any updates and I was paying daily for the hotel because I was waiting to get the jeep fixed.... When I came back in to the shop to pick up my Jeep expecting the fix to be done already Ted informed me that he couldn't figure out the problem. This was an obvious lie because my husband ended up diagnosing and fixing it for less than $200 (just a simple fix broken u-joint on a jeep). Ted then informed me that just diagnosing the Jeep would cost the amount that he had quoted me for fixing it. He started to get angry and threatening with me about it when I questioned him which as a young woman at the time in my early 20's all by myself scared me a lot so I left having been charged the money and confused about everything. Also I drove the jeep back to Reno with my hazards on at 45 mph thinking I was not going to make it and scared. I will never forget my experience here at this business with Ted who knew I was scared, tired and did not have other options. I paid for the tow to his shop, the hotel and the estimate for the quote on repairs and left with the same broken Jeep I arrived with. Ted knows if he can take advantage of you in any way he will and has no remorse about it. Ted lost the trust that's needed to run a biz like his. Unfortunately once you lose a customers trust that you will only charge what is necessary and not plot to make as much money as possible off of them by lying no one wants to leave you their vehicle with you. I am happy to think about the fact that he has lost more business than what he scammed me out of by anyone who has read his real reviews. Not only did Ted scam me but after writing my reviews he then started to send me threatening messages on yelp in my messages as well as send other customers to message me that he bamboozled with a fake sob story. This man will lie to the very end and scam you for every penny if you let him. Do yourself a favor by avoiding this place at all costs because as soon as his mouth opens you will be off worse than when you arrived and that's a guarantee.

They initially replaced the motor mounts and then told her the torque converter needed to be replaced. She paid approximately $3,500 for the repairs, but afterward the vehicle would not run at all. The shop told her they would determine the problem and asked for a couple of weeks. Those "couple of weeks" turned into six months, leaving her without transportation the entire time. Eventually, we had to involve their insurance company. The vehicle was then taken to Ford for diagnosis. According to Ford, the repairs were in such poor condition that it would cost more than $10,000 in labor and parts to correct the issues. As a result, the insurance company chose to total the vehicle rather than repair it. Unfortunately, the insurance company would not reimburse the $3,500 my daughter had already paid, stating that she would need to seek reimbursement directly from All About Cars. When we contacted the shop, Nate became argumentative, yelled during the phone call, and ultimately hung up. To this day, we have not received any reimbursement. To make matters worse, I later learned from Ford that the engine had reportedly been dropped during the repair process, causing damage to the transmission line. Despite the damage occurring during the repair work, my daughter was still charged for the repairs. Charging a customer to fix damage caused by your own negligence is unacceptable, dishonest and unprofessional, Losing both $3,500 AND her vehicle created a significant financial hardship for my daughter. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend All About Cars. I strongly encourage anyone considering this shop to do thorough research and ask detailed questions before trusting them with their vehicle.
