My parents recently visited this dealership to purchase a vehicle, and unfortunately, their experience was extremely disappointing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were treated with disrespect simply for asking reasonable questions about the loan terms, including the interest rate and financing details.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No customer should feel pressured or looked down on for wanting to fully understand what they are signing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The biggest concern was the financing process. They were initially presented with a loan carrying an almost 19% interest rate and were encouraged/ pressured to sign the paperwork. When they refused because they were not comfortable with those terms, [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cristina, the underwriter very rudely demanded that if they didn't like the interest rate of 19% that they had to bring in a check for the amount of what the vehicle cost.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My parents felt threatened and disrespected by the way of how she was answering their questions so they left her office to talk to the salesman.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When talking to the Sales Man she came out and said that somehow she had overlooked an offer of a Credit Union for a 4% interest rate. This raised serious questions about why the much higher rate was presented first and whether they were truly being offered fair financing options from the beginning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]An important financial decision like purchasing a vehicle should never involve pressure or attempts to rush customers into signing documents they do not fully understand or agree with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We left with the feeling that the treatment they received from the underwriter, Cristina, was different from the treatment other customers would have received.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interactions made my parents feel singled out and disrespected, and they believe their ethnicity influenced the way they were treated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Whether intentional or not, no customer should leave a dealership feeling that way. We asked that they fix the windshield wiper motor as the wipers weren't working at all and do a wheel alignment which they agreed and we were scheduled to pay for it and pick it up today. Do NOT try and sell or trade in a car here, they WILL lowball you by giving you an offer FIRST before they even look at the car, and then pull the usual tricks of making things up in order to give you less than they originally offered once they do the "inspection". They claim they are an emissions station when they are not even registered with the county, nor have any kind of emissions licenses hanging up in plain sight. The county has Larry H Miller Ford listed as the emissions station which is the business that was there before these guys came along. This place definitely tries to pull shady business practices so do not let them take advantage of you. I took my car to Carmax and not only did they give me more than Axio offered me, they inspected the car and didn't make any of the claims that Axio tried to make in order to give me less money. Axio Automotive is an absolutely slimy, scummy experience. My boyfriend & I attempted to purchase a Ford f150, and trade in his Jeep Wrangler (which we have a prior loan on) We were assured this would be a great deal, and they would be able to roll over any additional debt into the new truck loan. I co-signed, we had our credit checked, test drove a truck and talked to Wendy to sign papers on our new truck purchase. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We told Wendy we only wanted to finance through MACU- and she agreed, but she never wrote it down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A price of roughly 36k was agreed to, we signed some papers, and Wendy told us she would be in touch and let us know when to return to finish signing papers. We leave in our new truck and leave our jeep behind- per Axio's instructions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We never received any copies of paperwork other than credit reports.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My boyfriend returned the next day to get emissions done, and to get the truck detailed- again per Axio's request. He did not sign any other paperwork during this visit- in fact Wendy never spoke to him. It's been a week now- and I decided to check my experian credit report. I have 4 hard credit hits- 2 which were not approved and are from America First and Goldenwest credit unions. I, and my boyfriend, freeze our credit reports so we don't get our scores any lower. 9They have dropped significantly from all the hard checks) [[HIGHLIGHT]]I receive a frantic call from Wendy- who has not contacted us until now- that I need to unfreeze my credit and give her a copy of my social security card so she can find us the best loan possible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I inform her that we only want MACU, and other credit checks were not approved of. Wendy tells me she was never made aware of this, and that MACU has declined our loan application.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I inform her we no longer want the vehicle- which we have NOT FINANCED YET- and I am told "That's not how this works." My boyfriend also receives a letter from MACU- stating a loan of 41K was declined. This is not the correct loan amount. We decide to go to Axio, and see what we can figure out, and possibly return the truck and get our jeep back- essentially no deal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We are met with an absolute Attitude from Wendy, who tells us that we never stated MACU was the only option, and she can find us a better loan elsewhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She also tells us we are contractually bound to this agreement- which we are not. Our contract states the seller must find financing that fits within our specific constraints- and if unable, the contract and deal is void. Wendy also tells us that we were supposed to come back and finish paperwork the night we took the truck home- IMPOSSIBLE because it was almost 9 PM and they were about to close. Wendy told us she would be in contact with us. Wendy also informs us that she has been sending out a loan inquiry of 41k- in case we want to add warranties and other things. THIS WAS NOT APPROVED- our paperwork clearly states a 36K agreed upon loan. This is fraud. Axio has not made any moves to absorb the Jeep loan- the bank still owns the title, and the loan is still valid with MACU in my boyfriend's name. We still own the vehicle, even if it sits on their property. They still own the truck, although we've been driving it. We will be going back to see if we can figure anything else out and hopefully return the truck- but DO NOT WORK WITH AXIO AUTOMOTIVE. They are shady, scummy and absolutely slimy. read more

It took a month to get approved. If I had known, we weren't approved we wouldn't have driven the cars off the lot. When we drove them off the lot the detailing was awful. The worst part was the truck wouldn't pass emissions, and I had to spend a few thousand dollars in fuel to drive it and only got a fraction reimburse. HOWEVER, the miles used to drive it to clean the emissions system was going towards the warranty. Now I have a bad transmission that is not warranted due to me having to drive so much. read more

To whomever this may concern, January 16, 2025 The car buying experience from your dealership has been nothing but a nightmare with empty promises, dings to my credit and my father's credit multiple times. It has been 4 months and I still have no loan, no license plates and a temp tag that has been expired for over a month now. I reached out myself to the bank you told me the loan was already finalized through to ask about an account number and when the payment is due only to be told that you guys never sent over the loan packet and that the bank had reached out to you as well and no one ever got back to them either. How is this ok? Not only have you guys made this experience awful for me, your dealership in Sandy screwed over my daughter and another co-worker of mine. We will all be making reports with the BBB. Yesterday, you pulled my credit AGAIN without my permission at that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I left voicemails and tried calling 10 times yesterday. We bought a 2018 Ram diesel from this business. Horrible experience from start to finish...they don't do their paperwork right so we had to travel 3 hours from home just to come back and re do the paperwork.. they said they had a "Lower" intrest rate for us but then moved it to a higher one just extended the payoff date so it looked cheaper. Also Gave us a bullshit warranty that is "nation wide" that also is not true.. you HAVE to bring it to axio for services and the warranty has very low cap for parts, as well as including the labor rates as part of the parts.. we tried to cancel the warranty several times and they just gave us the runaround later to find out that it is non cancelable. Took the service department 3 days to replace ball joints and a brake booster.. also needed a track bar but they said it's fine .. I went under the truck and physically moved it " bushing was gone" they then said it's in "spec" so I ended up doing it myself. All in all don't do business with them you're better off. read more

Avoid Axio Automotive in Sandy, Utah, at all costs. They will do anything shady to make a sell. My brother who had two bankruptcies on his record went in to buy a truck. They knew his credit score was bad and told him that he needed a cosigner with a 700 credit score to get the vehicle. My dad has been sick approximately 3 weeks prior to the event and in the hospital. At the time he was in the ICU at Castleview Hospital, in Price, Utah, where he went into cardiac arrest. They performed CPR and intubated him and was eventually transferred to Utah Valley Hospital via life flight in a comatose state. My brother approached my mom for the use of her credit score. She expressed that she did not want to be a cosigner. They used her information anyway to get the sale. My brother got the truck and signed at the dealership. I know that you cannot qualify for a loan if you do not have income to disclose. They must have used my dads social security income & pension to get approved for the loan as my mom did not have an income. Of course a dealership would need the income information to qualify a loan. My dad was in a comatose state and unable to speak for himself or protect my mom from such deceptive acts. My mom was at the hospital with heavy thoughts on her mind with the decision facing her to take my dad off of life support. During those hard moments she was approached by my brother and the salesman in the open foyer of the hospital to sign the loan papers. She was in no state of mind to make such a financial decision. She told them that she did not want to be a cosigner. The salesman assured her that she was not a cosigner. When I looked at the loan documents a few months later it shows that my mom was actually the main person on the loan. There was no notary of the public at the time of the signing nor was the financial department there to discuss the loan documents with her. The date on the loan papers were also not correct. My brother drove home with his new truck. A few days later we took my dad off life support on Oct 13th 2023 . A few months after she was living with me she got a letter in the mail from the bank with a notice of delinquent payments. It was not surprising that my brother was not making the payments. In fact he was 3 months behind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I immediately contacted the dealership to make things right to get my mom off the loan or return the truck. They did nothing to help with the process.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I attempted again in December all I get is empty promises.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My mom has had enough loss and now her credit score is bad. We bought a car there in June. The salesman, David, was insanely good! I would buy every car ever from him. He actually listened to what we wanted and was so quick to get us the car we wanted to try. He made the whole process quick and easy. Then comes dealing with the finance department. Their computers were down, which is fine, it happens. They had us fill out the paperwork and pay the down payment. They said once their systems came back up they would send us the official contract. This took at least a month for us to get. When the finance employee, Travis, finally sent the paperwork it had a warranty on the vehicle for over $1500. We never agreed to that or asked for it. Not to mention the warranty was garbage and wouldn't cover most things on our vehicle because it was over the mile limits. We spent another 2 weeks trying to get a hold of him to send new paperwork. Each time we called we got the run around and would be told they would call right back, but never got any calls. Eventually, we got a hold of another supervisor that said he would send new paperwork. By then our temp tag expired so they sent a new one and a new contract. This was well into August, but we thought the ordeal was done. Then we get a text from Travis saying we have to have a welcome call with the lender. This call never comes and getting a hold of Travis is impossible. Today 08/26/24, Travis text us saying that if we don't have a phone call with the lender by 5pm they will cancel the contract. At this point, we don't care if they just take the car back and give us our money back. It's disappointing how amazing the salesman was just for the finance department to be a complete joke. We thought we had found a great car dealership for the long term, but we will never go back based on how things were handled by Travis. read more

To "save us money," they didn't give us temporary tags, telling us we could wait a week for the title to arrive to us in the mail and then register it ourselves with the DMV. We agreed to this, only to have it take 3 weeks for the title to arrive in their dealership, then we had to go pick it up. Before we even got the title, the car wouldn't start and we had to replace the battery. The battery wasn't really the problem--still not sure what is. It won't start. We've done some work on it, but can't diagnose the problem for less money than it cost us in the first place. I'm online now to see what charities accept donations of cars that don't run. We bought this car 2 months ago and it got us home from the dealership, but that's all the life it had in it. Axio will not do anything to make it right. Steer clear. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO AXIO!!!! I bought a vehicle on Nov. 16 2024. Today is December 18. So I've only had the vehicle 32 days. I took my vehicle back to Axio because of a concern. Jeff at Axio informed me that I would need to take my vehicle to TD Nissan. So, I took it to the dealership on 12.18.23 and received a call from them informing me there is Sludge in the engine. When I bought the vehicle it had a 5 yr/50k warranty and I bought an extended warranty on top of it. TD Nissan informed me today, the 5yr/50k warranty will not vice this. Axio swears they did a service on the car, and they didn't notice a problem. TD Nissan asserts this problem doesn't sprout up overnight and that Axio would have been aware of this sludge. And the extended warranty will not cover this problem because it's sludge. And what this means is that there were little to no oil changes done prior to buying the vehicle and that records indicate that one was done prior to Axio performing the service when they came into possession of this vehicle to sell on their lot. Moreover, I talked with Sales Director who basically informed me that it's my issue. And that Axio cannot do anything for me. This is a lemon! The vehicle should have never been sold in the first place. I'm convinced they knew of the problem. Now I'm left with a vehicle that isn't operable and neither warranty will cover the engine replacement. DO NOT BUY FROM AXIO! I've also called Nissan North America and they confirmed there is no warranty for the engine. And my extended warranty provider-AUTTO is informing me they will not cover the repairs because it's still under the 5yr/50k mi warranty. Meanwhile. I still owe and am paying on the vehicle that is not driveable nor in my possession. It sits undriveable. Moreover, I was informed by Tim Dahle Nissan that if any repairs are done outside of a Nissan certified dealership, all other warranties in affect will be voided. So Axio can't complete the repairs without voiding out other things that may be covered under any manufacturer warranty still on affect. read more

I purchased a car for my brother in February. Greg came back and told me that he couldn't sell me this car because they had found a cracked head gasket but could sell me another car for $500 more which I bought. I thought that was wonderful that he was so forthright and honest. So I thought if I needed another car I would shop with them again. November 30th I was looking again for another car for my son. I told them I could put down $3000, would like a low monthly payment for 5 years. They brought out a 2013 Ford Escape that was for sale for $6,000. I told my son about it but he didn't want to make payments. So I told him I would purchase this car and sell him mine. I was quoted $123 payments a month for 5 years. I thought that was reasonable, so I agreed. They did the financing and got the paperwork ready. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I went to sign the paperwork, the loan officer did not discuss the interest rate, monthly payments or anything with me until I asked about it. She did NOT show me the paperwork or explain anything. All she said was sign here and directed my attention to the signature line.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was told, after I asked that the interest rate was 7.25 and the monthly payments were $137. I asked why it was higher and was told it was because a warranty and service agreement was added. I was NOT informed of this prior nor given the opportunity to accept or decline. After thinking it over, I thought it a good idea to have the car covered for the year of the service agreement, since it was only $14 more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the signing was over I asked don't I get a copy of the paperwork? She had just shoved the papers in a folder as I signed them. I kept waiting for the email even checking the junk files, finally I received them after I went back to the Dealership and gave them my email which they should have had when I was signing up for everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Needless to say when I finally got the paperwork I found that I was paying $3,500 for a one year warranty. Which I think is excessive. Also, what should have been a $6,000 car plus around $2,000 taxes, dock fees, etc. Turned out to be a $14,000 purchase! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went back to the dealership and tried to have the warranty and service contract dropped but was told it would be HARD to do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What about a 3 year contract for that price? I agreed and signed a new service agreement but after spending a sleepless night thinking about it I am STILL paying $14,000! I have contacted the bank financing the and am hoping to at least get the service contract dropped. I WILL not patronize Axio ever again read more

The worst customer service they don't even know the state laws very hard to work with they act like they are better than you if I could leave them a zero review I would but I would never ever purchase from Axio ever. I would recommend not doing business with Axio Auto in Riverdale, especially I would not work with Abraham or Cam. I know lots of car dealerships and sales people are dishonest in their business and this is just another one that has no integrity or professionalism. I was lied to and strung along. I'm very sick and have spent 6 days in the last 2 weeks in the hospital (including today), and going out to purchase a car was a big deal for me. They didn't let me even know that the car was not available or that the salesman would not even be there, even though I've been speaking to them twice a day. It turned out that it was bait and switch. What they had promised me was not real, and in fact Cam didn't even show up for our appointment and the car was not there. Who knows if it even existed. It was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I suggest not relying on anything that Cam or Abraham say. read more

just now NEW ***SAFETY WARNING*** This dealership is putting people in cars with out doing their required basic safety checks. I bought a truck less than 30 days ago. I was driving down big cottonwood canyon last weekend and the entire wheel and tire fell off because the dealership failed to check if lug nuts were tightened, that should have been checked before letting people test drive it. then I looked at photos I had taken of the truck the day after I had bought it and I also noticed that there was a missing lug nut on 3 out of 4 wheels, I had not noticed they had been missing until the day the wheel fell off. They should not even let people test drive these cars with missing lug nuts they have a mechanic shop there and they know that can be a safety issue and its a pretty basic thing to do. I was stopped on a blind turn, so the drivers behind me weren't able to see me until the last second, I stood in the road above to warn other cars that they would have to go around because I know the canyon extremely well and I knew someone going around the turn would hit it at full speed. Luckily no one was hurt, I was driving very slow because it was snowing that day. but I think about how I could've killed someone if it had fallen off on the freeway or how I could have killed a family who was just driving up there to have a nice day skiing. And that makes me feel sick to my stomach. So please if you do shop here be sure to get your own inspection done on the car as well because it's scary to think of potentially hurting someone or yourself because you trusted that they had done their due diligence as a car dealership. As a car dealership they should know better and I hope Axio reads this and does better in the future. I've included correspondence I had with the sales man at the time of the incident on my google review (I called them immediately because I felt that was odd since I had bought the truck only two weeks before) he ignored my call but has been texting back and forth, you can see in the messages that the issue is not being taken seriously and they just keep telling me they are too busy selling cars to have a discussion with me about how this could have even happend. Which really just shows that this is a car dealership that puts profit above safety and customer care. Also I have yet to have anything done on this, all I wanted was for them to put the tires on correctly, but for 5 days now all they do is give me an excuse and say they'll do it tomorrow. This started last Sunday and now it's Friday, they told me they would call me on Monday, it feels like they are going to run me around in circles until I get frustrated and give up. read more

Told them I was flying in to UT to check out a vehicle, which they said was ready for sale. Upon arrival, they notified me it had 3 major issues that made it un-drivable and said they had the parts and would get it fixed that day. By end of day, they had done nothing and notified me they actually didn't have the parts and the vehicle wouldn't be ready for 5 days. They wanted me to stay 5 or more days in Utah and wait for repairs to be done. Why was a vehicle listed for sale when it wasn't even close to drivable? It had no brakes, was badly leaking fuel, only had one key and had no A/C. Why wasn't I notified before flying to another state to buy it? Lost $1000 on flights and didn't even get a vehicle. They could not have possible screwed more things up or cost me more money than they did. read more
