We needed awnings for our 1923 historic home in Anaheim, and Awnings by Russ came highly recommended by several neighbors who also own historic homes. After working with them, it's easy to see why. We purchased three awnings and are absolutely in love with the results. I worked with Giovanni, who was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Most of our communication was done via text message, which I truly appreciated as a stay-at-home mom with two small kids--it's hard to have long, focused phone calls. Giovanni was patient, responsive, and very accommodating while I took my time selecting fabric and stitching, emailing the signed contract, and sending the deposit. Honestly, the process would have gone much faster if not for my own distractions! The awnings were completed and installed quickly, and I didn't even need to be present for the installation. Everything went smoothly, and the final result is beautiful and perfectly suited to our historic home. We plan to call them back in a few months to add two more awnings for our front picture windows. Highly recommend Awnings by Russ and especially Giovanni! read more

I have a 1940 vintage house and. It was time for a long overdue make over. After deciding on a new black roof and exterior white paint, we chose black for the double hung windows. Russ was referred to me by a friend and after calling him he came to my house. He was so knowledgeable and helped me with design and ideas on all the choices I was unsure about. I was all set to go and then COVID-19 hit and understandably, the installation was put on hold. As soon as they were cleared to install, I was their first day back to work install. I am beyond thrilled. I could not love them more. What a great company, with integrity and honest prices. read more

Great customer service. I had my awning installed by a contractor and thought that it was not done correctly . I searched on line to find somebody who can help but majority of these awning companies only deal with installation. I spoke to one guy who sounded nice over the phone and he said that he would have one of his guys stop by to look at it. I told him that I would gladly pay him for just taking the time to see whether something can be done. That was more than a week ago, either his guy has a very poor sense of directions or maybe he decided this was not worth his time. And then I called Russ (awnings by Russ) and not only did he sound very professional over the phone but he actually came to my house to look at the awning. He would not take any payment and he wore a mask too. Thank you Russ, now I know why you have a very successful business. read more

Are you operating during COVID? Wondering cus I've been calling. You did awnings at my house last year

After receiving quotes from various awning companies we decided to go with Russ due to the quote was reasonable compared to the other companies that were over priced. He was constantly communicating with us through out the process. We are very happy with the awnings. Thank you Russ for the beautiful awnings and a job well done! Russ is the best small businessman and contractor we've worked with. He did a beautiful custom awning for our side yard, over our BBQ/bar area and a roof for our outdoor bathroom. The workmanship is beyond compare - rugged, durable, withstand the crazy Santa Ana winds we get off of the canyon we live next to, and have not faded or shown any ripe if wear in the 8+ years they've been up. He also came back and helped us take down one when we painted the house and put it back up for us. His custom frames are superbly built to last, and he takes the time to listen to you and design exactly what you're envisioning in your head. He's professional, creative, and really stands by his workmanship and his word - did what he said he'd do in time and on budget - with a great attitude - what's not to love! Highly recommend him! read more

My house faces west and the west sun is unbearable on my bedroom and bathroom windows even tho they are limo dark glass so I called Russ. Russ came out and did the measuring and gave me a reasonable price for two awnings. One covering both bathrooms and one super size that covers a south facing and west facing bedroom windows that come together in the middle. I seriously had no idea what I wanted in style or color so I asked Russ to help me and I honestly let him run with it and I'm glad I did. I am so excited about the finished product in quality and style and the fact that these actually work that I asked Russ to come out and measure the garage and make another one the very next day. These are absolutely beautiful and I wish I had thought of this years ago. I no longer get any sun on the south window and get zero sun on the west side until 5 pm and it's minimal. This keeps my home much cooler inside and keeps the west side from getting baked. Happy happy happy! Thanks Russ, you're the bes read more

Russ made the entire process SUPER easy!!! He went out very quickly after I telephoned for an estimate...He took the measurements, sent me samples via the mail, invoiced me via email and processed my credit card over the phone. I had a very long awning added over two front doors and large windows. I then decided to add some more awnings to 2nd story sun-facing windows. In addition to the awnings creating much needed shade for the tenants, it also made the property look much more complete. His prices were super competitive, excellent quality products and installation. Would have liked to thank him person but since we never met-Thank you Russ!!! You did BEAUTIFUL WORK. Russ was just here to give me some advice on window awnings. I had new windows put in, and had to take down the old awnings. I have casement windows in the bedrooms. Russ told me new awnings would have to be put up very high and would not block out most of the sun. He also told me that I could put up my old awnings over the slider windows. Now how many people are you going to find that are that honest. I did not buy awnings from him and he was OK with that. If you want new awnings, call Russ.
