This is my review of Awesome Riding Intermediate school. The coach Andrew had vast knowledge of motorcycling. It took a while for me to aclimate to the teaching style since I'm an older gent but then I found my groove. You stay quiet and listen when asked if you have any questions speak up and own your mistakes. Everyone's riding was critiqued and we all learned from each others mistakes. It was a rainy last part of the day the Connex provided little shelter for the elements, but to me that was a learning experience too while on the road on a motorcycle. We continue to ride in the rain and with wet sloshing riding gear and I feel this better prepared me for a wet weather riding if it so how happened. The course is a hard-core intermediate range and you are expected to have certain skills beginners beginners please do not take this course. Notes: Prepare snacks, cold water, towel, dress for weather. No time to go to your car during breaks so have your back pack or cooler, bathroom done before class do not eat a big meal and develop your stamina for 5 hrs to 6hrs riding. The intermediate course is not easy as you think the class focuses on turning tight and maneuvering safely a lot. Keep your eyes and ears on the coach during prep on each course, so prepare prepare prepare, afterwards you will be exhilarated on what was accomplished when you get your eval and receiving the cert card. read more

Successfully completed the Motorcycle Safety Foundation motorcycle training/licensing approval program at Awesome Riding. Those folks couldn't have been any more accommodating or knowledgeable about the subject matter. Our trainer/coach, Paul, did a great job explaining each module in easy to understand plain language. Would do it again and highly recommend. read more

Don't go anywhere else. I understand why this class is necessary now. If I didn't take this class I would eventually have got hurt bad riding. I learned the importance of progressive breaking. Pulling your front breaks will send you flying and I learned that the hard way at the class but better there than in public roads. You will gain skills. The coach man is a great man ! read more

Like the name says, this is an AWESOME riding school! I took the Thursday and Friday beginner course with instructor Josh K. He is patient and gives excellent critiques with a calm demeanor. Not once did I feel unsafe or uncomfortable on the motorcycle. Always ask questions if you are unsure of anything; I promise Josh will not be upset or annoyed! After 11 hours of training, I can confidently say I have learned proper motorcycle riding form and techniques that I will continue to practice! My tip is to follow ALL constructive criticism because Josh knows what he's talking about so your riding skills will improve. Everyone who registered for the course was positive, eager to learn, and hardworking. Since we spent so much time together sweating and then getting drenched in the rain, the group bonded and we all felt at ease around each other. My only warning is sometimes the track lines and cones are hard to see so bring a good pair of sunglasses. Overall, I had a fun time and loved learning with my fantastic classmates! read more

Already left my Google review so imma keep this one short :) I lost $500 on both mine and my partners courses because we only had 10 minute breaks in between segments, so me coming with a leather jacket was a horrible idea as I couldn't go to the store and just buy a thin long sleeve (I was thinking safety, not heat, so that was my fault I guess,) but when I chose a bike, I chose the Grom, ended up not feeling comfortable on it because it was glitchy on moving into neutral. Was told by the lovely David that I could just hit the kill switch instead of doing it the proper way (I had paid to be taught) then asked for a different bike because I was uncomfortable from then on but he said I was fine and we were almost over that segment anyway. Cool, thanks, now I have a lack of knowledge on one of the most basic things. Long story short, I got heat exhaustion, and accidentally shifted into third gear whilst in the middle of it and not second, so It went straight, it almost felt like it was fully out of control, did the clutch front break, saving myself and the bike, but unfortunately not $250, as I was then a danger to myself and others, wasn't even allowed to just cool down then get back on, from that moment, I knew I lost the money and wouldn't be allowed to do day two, even though we were on the last section of the course and they were calling it two sections early due to the heat exhaustion, so I was hoping I could message them and just come in early to make up for the part I missed. Here is what I got emailed in return. They could've been wayyy more professional in many areas, it was a cool Idea but I would go for a different one, even though I know a lot of the motorcycle shops recommend them (sponsor them as well I believe, they were riding alot of the bikes with stickers from thr place we initially went to find a bike and found the courses at) I would just weigh out some other options. Learning to ride a bike isn't easy, but they failed to try to actively help people pass, just kinda complained about everyone's issues as a group, telling us to watch what the ,"one good rider" was doing instead of letting everyone know one by one what they needed to work on. read more

Absolutely the most Awesome Riding school ever. Here's my story : Received my Motorcycle operator training completion card in 2007. It was a gift and I never thought i would need my motorcycle license so I never went into the DMV to get my class M. Now in 2023, my husband came home with a Yamaha Zuma for me. I drive it and absolutely love it. Guess what ? I need a motorcycle license to drive it. i went to a motorcycle safety course to obtain my completion card again. I went for training and left feeling defeated and as if i could never drive a motorcycle. But i do drive, i just need to be in compliance with the law. The facility i went to in Pasadena, TX, failed me. The class was so long and grueling. It was 3 days long. For those who failed, since they finished the course early you would think they would use the time left in the class to assist those who failed. Nope, not an option. You have to pay again and suffer through the most miserable classroom time i've ever endured. I kept getting calls, texts, and emails to come in and purchase a Harley. When i said i failed the second time around, they said no worries take it again and i' m sure you will pass. Come pick your bike out. Desperate for my class M, and to NOT go back to the HD motorcycle safety class, I started looking for a different facility to take my course. So fortunate, that I found Awesome Riding. I left a message for them and didn't expect them to respond so quickly. David called me back and he took the time to hear my story and advised me to come in and take their 1 day course. My confidence was so low because of just failing the day before. He just said to trust myself and that if i learned on a buelle in 07 and passed, he finds it really hard that i didn't pass the second time around. I trusted David, and signed up for the 1 day course. Before i go on, i almost didn't sign up and the night of 10/16 almost 10/17, i went online to sign up and was having some difficulties. David, actually contacted me at midnight to assist me. My husband was so impressed. He said, he had a good feeling about this place. My hubby was right !! This course was night and day to the Harley course. This course was AMAZING. Harley apparently is still doing the old curriculum and having everyone suffer. Amazing Driving School advised me that after the 6 hour ecourse, there is no more classroom time and if i were to fail the 1 day that they would work with me to assist me and my riding skills so that i would be a successful and safe driver. I took the course and David Y was my instructor/ new friend. He said he couldn't believe that i didn't pass the HD course and he wishes he was a fly on the wall as to know how they could have not passed me. He said i aced his class. I almost cried when the class was over. He made it so fun and built up my confidence again. I was the only girl in the class and he said i did better and drove faster than the two guys in the class. I will NEVER step foot into the HD place again. I will forever advise everyone to go to Awesome Driving school. There are just no words that could ever describe how thankful i am for them. Please if you are looking around for a motorcycle class, stop looking and go here. I cannot stress this enough ! I've already recommended someone else who failed the HD course with me to come to this school. I failed on 10/15 at HD, took Awesome Driving course on 10/17, now getting my license updated to class C M on 10/19. So thankful and excited to be on the road legally ! Very educational when it comes to safety. Knowledgeable teachers. Out in the driving portion of the course is a lot more challenging because a lot of the instruction seems vague. They have a lot of patience with you when it comes to riding but the instructions are often quick and they may crack jokes if you mess up. Come prepared, someone actually had to go home because they forgot their online certificate I think. Pros + Good guys, willing to work with you + Driving Instructions come with 1 or 2 demonstrations + Interesting in-class lectures + Everyone has a positive mindset when it comes to learning + Fun to talk to about random bikes to politics to guns + They know who could lead and who would fall behind, I was the one falling behind Cons - Course lines aren't that visible, often other bikers would confuse the blue and dashed blue lines. - Instructions are often read word for word out of the manual quickly but not thoroughly - Some things I've learned faster than others but you were only able to do 3-6 practice runs before proceeding to the next assignment - Getting comfortable with the bike wasn't really an option, it felt really rushed before I could get confident riding the bike - When doing practice exercises, it wouldn't be 1 or 2 at a time. It would be 3-6 in one and at start, they may choose the wrong person to lead but they'll actually change the strategy Conclusion Learning to drive standard for the first time was interesting on a bike vs watching it through online video tutorials that was provided. Book is provided after the course, a quick manual was provided after the evaluation was completed. It feels really out of order. The written test is easy, the driving portion sucked for me. I lost points for going too slow, 8-12MPH I'm sure, taking a left during the Cone Weave instead of a right on the first cone (or left and then a right), skidding into the red zone/box and not landing in the box, not landing a figure 8 U-Turn (I think...). I failed with like 30-40 points. I want to retake the course but the last thing I remember being told and it kind of stuck with me is, "some people aren't meant to ride." It was kind of embarrassing and intimidating altogether. Recommend to others? Yeah. If you have riding experience before or if you're a fast learner, absolutely. If you're a slow learner and have a hard time following directions after 2 steps, then no. read more

Very Experienced Instructor was great! Motorcycles were in good shape & a decent selection: I had a Yamaha Vstar250 that was nice & low in the seat. Helmets were open face w a good selection so it was easy to find the right size. End of July was a bit hot, but they supplied cold water & washcloths too. This MSF course is worth 2 years of riding experience & under good tutelage you can learn fast. Well worth it in every way! read more

The school was recommended by one of my friends and I needed up signing up. Class starts at 7am to 130pm and the instructor (David) was great. The class prepares the rider to have a better handle of the motorcycle on turns, braking, stopping, and coordination. I can honestly recommend the class to those seeking the M-endorsement on the license. Again, if you are looking for an experienced instructor that will teach out all of the ins/outs of motorcycle ridding make sure you sign up for the class with instructor David. read more

What can I say other than I had an amazing experience with Awesome riding! My instructors Mike and David were friendly, and extremely knowledgeable you can tell the passion that these guys have for safe riding. This place came as the saving grace for me! Had a really bad experience with another join but then I landed upon Awesome and David our instructor became the incarnation of what awesome was! He showed us how to take riding seriously but also enjoy the entire experience of learning to ride and the experience of becoming a rider!!! I would highly recommend the weekday classes since many people are at work so you would be the only learner (all attention and extra time to you) or you would hav wine or two people more in your class (better bonding and still more time to practice). They are set up in a place where the entire range is bigger than the others had to offer and you can practice till you dropped so that you are more confident with each maneuvers! I loved being in David's class and he was patient and loving to not holler at us at any point of time. Even if you do fail one part, he would still encourage you to look for the silver lining and do better with each course. Signed up for a class, waited a week for available lesson, spent 3 hours on the ecourse, and then got a cancellation notice the day before the lesson start. Complete waste of my time and very unprofessional for them to not have backup plan. Was offered a lesson date for 2 months later, what a joke. The ecourse certificate is only good for 30 days and would be expired by then. read more

Took the BRC2 class here with my brother and we had a blast! David did a fantastic job as an instructor and mentor from the beginning to the end of the course. He really took care of us. These people can go f*ck themselves. I would give negative stars if I could, one star is being generous. Place is absolutely awful. I talked to a guy on the phone who was very rude and had zero intentions of helping me. I showed up to the class wearing the wrong attire and the instructor proceeded to belittle me by telling me that the class was for experienced riders. I told him that I am in fact an experienced rider (been riding dirt bikes since I was 10) and he proceeded to tell me that an experienced rider would wear the proper attire. Requiring people to wear a long sleeve, pants, boots AND a helmet on an August summer day in TEXAS?! Are you kidding me??! And maybe include the proper attire in the IMPORTANT INFORMATION section of the email (I imagine they do this on purpose to steal your money because this has definitely happened to others).Didn't get to take the class and didn't get a refund. I guess that's what you get for using a place called 'Awesome Riding'. How original. read more
