King Air Duct Cleaning - After

King Air Duct Cleaning

So, I was getting a new dryer and decided it would be a good time to clean out my dryer lint vent…read more I ordered a kit with a round brush and some flexible rods that you attach to a drill and feed through the vent to clean out the lint. Sounds simple enough, right? So the flexible rods that screw together unfortunately separate while I'm using the drill and the brush and several of the rods are stuck inside the duct. I watch a YouTube video explaining how to remove it (it apparently happens frequently) by buying additional rods and attaching a "corkscrew" made from a wire hanger which you feed into the duct by hand to hopefully "grab" onto the brush and pull it out. You guessed it, that got stuck too. I called King Air Duct Cleaning and Lance (the owner) assured me that he understood the issue and he would be able to squeeze me in so I could start using my new dryer. Lance was here this morning and he was amazing. Within 20 minutes he had both of the pieces removed from the duct and all of the built-up lint cleared. Then he hooked up my new dryer, tested the airflow and assured me everything was good to go! And the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be! Highly recommended!!!

I asked him to let me know when he was on his way so I could notify her. Not only did he do that, but he notified me again before he knocked on the door to make sure he wasn't waking her up! The cleaning was textbook; he cleared the lint the size of a ball from the vent, did NO upselling, charged exactly what I was quoted and was done quickly. And my clothes now dry on the first load! I just bought this house so I'm sure they haven't been cleaned in ages (if ever), but King Air Duct Cleaning got us rolling again quickly! Thank you-would highly recommend!

Phoenix Kwik Dry Total Cleaning

Phoenix Kwik Dry Total Cleaning

I would not recommend Phoenix Kwik Dry to anyone in need of carpet cleaning. [read down below for…read moremy horrible experience with the company owner Derrick Logan.] They are probably fine if your carpet is only lightly soiled, and all you need is a "Kwik" freshening up. But if your carpets are actually dirty or soiled to any extent, then I would move on to a REAL carpet steam cleaning/extraction service. The Kwik Dry system is terribly flawed. They do not do ANY deep cleaning carpet soil extraction like most of the other traditional carpet cleaners. That's why it dries so fast. Here is what Kwik Dry did in our home: They sprayed the surface of the carpet a little bit. Then they went over the carpet with an old-fashioned rotary floor polisher with a scouring pad mounted on the bottom. All that accomplishes is loosening the very top layer, never getting down to the real carpet soil. Then they go over it with a rinky-dink vacuum tool much like a home Bissell machine. The entire amount "extracted" from our living room carpet, including water and soil, was less than a quart. FYI, traditional steam extraction carpet cleaning ends up with a gallon or two of filthy water from each room. When Dane (who is a really nice kid who should get a better job) was done, the carpet was a little cleaner, but still obviously soiled in most areas. He made the usual carpet cleaner excuse about soil "wicking", but that made no sense with their Kwik Dry method. The carpet never gets wet enough to "wick" at all. Dane diligently tried to improve the result, but to no avail because he was limited by the inferior Kwik Dry cleaning tools. He had to go to another job, but Dane promised that he would return and give it another 45 minutes to one hour, and we were okay with that. Now for the horrible experience with the company owner: After Dane left, the Phoenix Kwik Dry owner, Derrick Logan called me. He was immediately perturbed about Dane's promise of a return visit, as if it was my fault. He exclaimed that he cannot pay Dane "another 3 or 4 hours" even though I had said it would only be less than one hour. Then he went into a rambling diatribe about how the Kwik Dry system works, even though I kept saying that Dane already explained all that. When I expressed my disappointment with him and Kwik Dry, Derrick Logan said, "Don't ever call us again!" Lol, as if I ever would. I then took to cleaning the carpet soiled areas myself with my regular home cleaning tools and some elbow grease effort. I was able to make a major improvement in less than one hour.
