I am writing to provide an urgent update regarding my vehicle and the current situation with the predatory mechanic shop " Avondale Collision ". I am being subjected to predatory and unethical practices of extortion and fraud. To provide some background: I walked outside and saw aftermath of several cars in an accident and my unoccupied parked car was hit by one while it was parked at my apartment parking spot. Avondale Collision was already at the scene and approached me, He repeatedly assured me and my girlfriend that they would provide a free estimate with no obligation. I informed him I dont need a tow, I live here, my car is parked in my parking spot at my residence and walked away. He chases me and my girlfriend down half a block later ( I am not exaggerating ) . Despite my explicit refusal to have the vehicle moved, the tow driver persistently claimed that all vehicles were being taken to their shop for a free estimate. He hands me his card and ensures me everything is fine. The card seemed like a real buisness and he said free estimates. I agree to the free $0 estimate, he says well get back to you once we look at your car sometime next week after the weekend. He says make sure you wait to file a insurance claim until you get the hit n run drivers insurance info etc. Since then, crickets, no call, no email, no letter from Avondale Collision, nothing. the shop has ghosted me for several weeks no mention they even received my vehicle from the tow driver. I call them they claim they had not yet looked at the vehicle and have no estimate yet, and said get police report and all info first. When I showed up in person same thing, " we didnt look at it yet, no estimate". I have now discovered that they are charging storage fees, which were never disclosed and which I did not consent to. I only agreed to a free $0 estimate. They are engaged in fraud. They still gave me no estimate and say they want $8,000 in storage fees. They are engaged in the predatory practice of Felony Fraud. No one agreed to storage fees only a free estimate. I still have yet to receive the estimate. They didn't fix my car or do anything. Not even tell me to pick it up. I have video footage of the scene and a witness who can verify the tow driver's conduct. I will be serving Avondale lawsuit papers. One morning i woke up to go to work to find my 2015 Acura has been hit and is in the middle of the street. it was complete commotion.. Cops everywhere and come to find out that three cars on our block have been struck and mine was one of the three. While i was waiting for the cops to finish making the police report. Demetrius was on the scene with his tow truck and my vehicle was stuck i couldn't even move it! He came up to me and told me not to worry that he was going to help me move my car. once the cops were done the tow truck moved my car and told me there was a shop down the street that does great work name Avondale Collision. Once i arrived at the shop, i met Nino and Alex and these guys were great! They helped me set up a claim with Allstate and even called Enterprise to come to the shop to pick me up. 24Hrs later i received a call from Alex told me that they have a estimate for my car and that all the parts are ordered. One week later got a call from Nino and said my car was done. Later that day i made my way to the shop. My car in flawless condition my car was so clean and perfect i walked right pass my car and didn't even recognize my own car! Hands down best body shop in town! Lets just say Rick is the go to guy for any problems to your car! Most honest guy iv dealt with when dealing with car troubles. I was not happy with the previous place i had took my car to after someone hit my car when parked. All they wanted was money from state farm and once they got it thats when all my problems started. It was lie after lie of when my car was going to be done finally got it back after a month had to take it back three times and i had had enough! Finally i went to Rick and he had helped me previously when i needed my door replaced and the service was fantastic! Went to him and he kept me informed every time! Called me to keep me informed about my car i didn't need to keep calling like the previous shop i went to! Rick kept his word on when my car would be done and went above and beyond and even detailed the car and gave me new windshield wipers since once again the previous shop had messed up and never gave the car a detail as they said they would! I usually do not spend time writing reviews because I'm not into all that but i felt that people should know what a great job rick did and he is a man of his word when it came to my car and they deserve more recognition ! I can't say enough good things about Nino and Avondale Collision. A drunk driver totaled my car while it was parked on the street one night. Nino was the tow truck on the scene and he was great. He hung around while I dealt with my insurance company on the phone and then towed and stored the car for me. He hung around with me while I waited for the police to finish all the paperwork and helped keep the mood lighthearted. He called me first thing the next morning to check in and get the ball rolling with the claim. He was completely on top of everything and did a great job making sure that I got everything taken care of. When I came on the weekend to clean out the car before releasing it, Nino was actually heading out to pick up another car but still took the time to stop, help me get my plates off and carry my stuff to my friend's car. He also didn't need to but he still took the time to ask about the rest of the claim and seemed genuinely interested in how I was doing. This shop is the GO TO PLACE! Nino and Rick are both very professional, 'get things done' kind of guys. My car was hit in the front and the damage was crazy! Took the INSURANCE COMPANY almost 2 months to pay up but in the end it was worth the time and patience, and AVONDALE played a big part in that. They stood in contact with me throughout the entire time, calling me with updates and asking how I was doing. They treated me like they knew me, like family, and trust me those kinds of things can go a long way! When my car was finished getting fixed, they had it detailed for me. The car looked brand new again! They did a great job on the work and paint. My car even had a half of tank of gas when I picked it up! I mean yo, what more can you ask for?! My experience with Avondale Collision was by far the best of any auto repairs I've had to go through in the past. My car needed a new front bumper, grill, and driver side mirror. The shop's super friendly owner, Nino, gave me an amazing deal. I got estimates for the repair from several other shops and his was nearly 30% lower than all the others (!!). I can tell from just being in the office that the staff is incredibly professional and knows what they're doing. Nino kept me updated every step of the way, letting me know when the parts were ordered, when they arrived, and when I could come in to get the parts replaced. When I was ready to go in, the repairs only took about an hour before I was on my way. My 2007 Accord looks brand new again and all the parts feel securely in place. My spare car broke down unexpectedly. I called the number on the back of my insurance card for a tow. They had sent out someone from Avondale Collision. They arrived 20 minutes earlier then expected and even called to tell me they were five minutes away. Avondale Collision pulled up, the one guy came out to greet me while the other was in the drivers seat backing up, to hook my car. The one gentleman offered me his seat in front while he sat in back. Both gentlemen were very polite. They also did an excellent job backing my car in my driveway and un-hooking it. Nino & his staff are so wonderful! I had an accident Begening of May which is never delightful for anybody! The guy who towed my car was nice enough to recommend me this place and as soon as we towed my beetle there everything went smooth! Nino treats his cutomers like family! These guys are the best. I was towed to this shop after an accident, and each person I dealt with was honest, informative, and helpful throughout the entire process. When I got my car back after the repairs it was pristine. Today I went back in without an appointment to see if they could change my headlight. Turned out they didn't have the right kind of bulb, but they called around and had one immediately delivered from another place. They replaced the bulb and sent me on my way without charging me. My car got in an accident near the Avondale Collision Repair Shop. The insurance company was not being helpful in getting our car towed. Avandale showed up and took the car without worry of payment and stored it for over a month knowing they may not get reimbursed for the storage. They also arranged for the driver of my car get home at no cost. Jose and his team were a pleasure to work with when I needed to fix a scrape on the side of my car. Not only were they half the price of all the other places I received a quote from, but they also were flexible with when I could bring it in. When I picked up my car, they had fixed the scrape perfectly and it looked brand new. also, they had washed the outside and inside of my car with no charge!!
