April 29, 2026... A…read morenew review, this time for repairs to a 2024 Kia Sportage. A month ago, a family member rear-ended another car at the SE corner of Ashland and Diversey. Damage was severe enough that the car had to be towed. Fortunately, no one was injured. Fast forward roughly four weeks and I reclaimed my car today. It was exactly what I expected: impeccably repaired with a paint job--thanks to master painter and WBS owner Danny Avalos, Jr.--that matched the original finish perfectly. While four weeks seemed overly long, my insurance company's adjustor and appraiser were responsible for most of the delay. Throughout the process, shop manager Eric Villa keep me apprised. Price--you can't beat it!

I took my car in because my sunroof was stuck open. They gave me an estimate to fix it and I agreed to have the service done. Ultimately they were not able to fix it and I still had to take it to the dealer for repair who told me the damage that was done would result in an even more expensive repair. Overall, I had a horrible experience with poor communication throughout. They had my car for several weeks and I had to chase them for updates. After the first week with no updates, I finally reached the shop manager and the response I got was to "be patient". This was the state of my car when I picked it up, which was not the state I dropped it off in. Although my car was over 10 years old it was in nearly perfect condition when I dropped it off. The car was hit while parked on the street outside the shop. When I saw the damage I went back into the shop and they sent me to their body shop to have it buffed out. Much of the damage came out but not all of it. Nothing was offered to rectify the damage done to the interior of the car. I sent emails to the shop with the pictures below, but got no response.

Mike came promptly at the appointed time, and he was able to give me an estimate within 15 mins after reviewing the amount of time and work needed to be preformed. I was unsure that he would be able to get out the dings on the roof of my hardtop convertible, but he was able to get those out and the ding on the passenger door. The two dings on the driver's side, Mike was able to get out 1 completely but the other one there was still a slight ding but he got out most of it. I think those 2 dings were difficult get out as the dings were close together. Regardless I was very happy overall with the service Mike provided, he is extremely professional and his experience with paintless dent removal is evident. I would recommend Mike for anyone needing ding or dent repair, he is fair and honest, and will call on him again if I need his services.

Whether he meant it as a joke or not, it was completely inappropriate and instantly destroyed any trust I might have had in the shop. To make matters worse, he also criticized a previous estimate I had received from the same shop, saying that the original estimator "didn't know what they were doing." That level of disrespect toward both customers and coworkers was unacceptable. In the end, I decided to take my vehicle elsewhere for repairs--and I'm glad I did. I recommend others do the same if they expect professionalism and integrity.

For context, I called around to several shops and ended up receiving a quote for $745. When I went in to question the pricing with Nick, the quote suddenly dropped to $1,247. That's a huge difference for the exact same job - 32% to be exact. If there's that much "flex" in the price, it really makes you question how the original number was justified in the first place. At the same time, I was told they don't inflate estimates which didn't line up with what I experienced. The whole interaction felt uncomfortable and undermined my trust in their pricing transparency.

Wayne's guy in the garage proceeds to gaslight me and say these lights have NOTHING to do with the work that they did and that it was a computer issue. Lies. These lights have lit up my dash for months. They come and go. Another mechanic verified that this was the result of poor work when changing my brakes and now it is really expensive to fix. And now that the sensor for my abs is messed up, getting other work done on my car triggers more related sensors. Now tmps is going nuts as well. My car had ZERO computer issues and ZERO abs issues before theh did my brakes this last time. They should be responsible for these repairs! But they proved to be dishonest! If you make a mistake, OWN UP TO IT! I can respect that and have been loyal for years. Wayne is great but the guys in the garage really screwed me this time and tried to make it seem like they didn't. For this I will NEVER patronize them again and don't recommend that anyone else do.

She said well he did run his magnet over your driveway, There's NO possible way he did with all the nails that were left and we also have 3 cameras that face our driveway 1 points straight down it one across it and the other the front and the only time it picked anyone up was when he was here picking up the big mess! She did tell me they would be here the next morning between 7-8 am I am still waiting for them but when I called her to ask if there was an eta she blew up on me, was Cussing me out and Hung up on me, Again this was all caught on camera, when I told her I am leaving a review. I have been NOTHING but nice and understanding of them... THIS IS NOT EVEN A COMPANY THAT WAS DOING ANY WORK FOR US BUT A NEIGHBOR!!

I have just picked up my 2004 R32 from Chicago Autohaus today, as part of my investment work to restore the car. I was looking to find an auto body repair shop, that would "get" what I was intending to do with my car. Upon meeting with them and walking thru the work, they completely understood my intent to restore the car versus repair it, and did an exceptional job doing so. The pricing was in line with my budget, and they worked with me to make sure we met my goals for this first sweep of work. I was kept up to date as they did the work, sending photos and information in process, and working with me when it was easier and less expensive for me to order OEM components directly than thru them, including a seat repair and OEM transition strips. I came away feeling my car and I were respected, and the outcome was exceptional. As I do more work on my R32, I will be returning to them as a trusted partner to restore and maintain my car. I highly recommend them for auto body work, and I will also be testing the waters with them for any mechanical work moving forward... read more

So my car got hit on the drivers side. My car was parked on the street near my apartment. The driver that hit my car did not leave a note, so a hit and run. So you can guess I was annoyed. Then brought my vehicle to this body shop. Their estimated time to fix my car was pretty accurate which to me was a big deal because I could only have a rental car for a period of time based on my insurance so that was great. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. She greeted me and ensured I was taken care of. I interacted with the other employees there and they were all friendly and professional as well. I did like the lobby area. Seemed clean and well maintained, some body shops appear to be messy and not organized, these guys did. So when I went in to get my car back I looked at the job they did. Really nice job!! New doors and drivers mirror were fixed and functional. I posted pics for the before and after. My overall experience with them was great! On Wednesday morning 3/11, I found that my street-parked car had been vandalized - the passenger side mirror was hanging by its wires. With a scheduled trip out-of-town on Friday, I drove straight to Autohaus on Wolcott without an appointment and desperate for help. Despite being a first-time customer with a huge ask, I was treated like family by both Francisco G. and the woman at the front desk. They were able to get the needed parts, complete the repair, and have me back on the road by midday Thursday. The excellent service, communications and problem-solving approach that I experienced there seems rare these days and was certainly appreciated. I also found the facility to be clean and modern, noting that, in addition to collision repair, other auto-related services are available including an in-house car rental if needed. I had a car accident in which the other car was liable but his insurance company wouldn't pay in spite the fact the police report listed him as liable. I didn't want to go through my insurance if the price was less than what it costs to fix it due to a 900 deductible. I was blessed that the accident only knocked off my driver side mirror and I went to check out the reviews in which was good and I used them. I called them on a Saturday Victoria said they close at 12 noon I couldn't get there but Monday stop by. She asked if I had pics of it that maybe she could give me a rough estimate in which I did it was reasonable but I still need to let them see the car. Long story short the price was right I came back on Wednesday and it took them less than 25 minutes and I was out the door. I have brought my cars to chicago autohaus a few times as I had a personal recommendation and have been very happy with their work- Definitely recommend them to anyone needing a referral and will be sending any friends or family there ! Saif the owner is a great guy and always very accommodating - Sidney at the shop is great as well, very helpful and they do whatever they can to get the job done and make it as convenient as possible! They were able to coordinate with me to get my car in and out in a matter of days at a much lower price point than expected - even though I had a significant amount of body damage and had been quoted much higher elsewhere. The drop off and pickup was easy and with no delays. The car looks great and I was pleasantly surprised with how great it turned out, looks brand new. My experience with Chicago Autohaus was great. I was quite impressed with the facility. It was extremely clean for a body shop. The floors were gleaming. I took my car in and received my estimate within 20 mins of getting there. I had another estimate as well from that Erie body shop and Chicago Autohaus came in about 10% less. This was great because I was able to cover my deductible. My car was ready three days later and the work was excellent and their attention to detail was apparent. They even took out some door dings without me even asking. The owner was there when I went to pick up the car and he came out and went over the repairs. I had the damaged trim on my 2014 Range Rover Sport replaced at Autohaus and I was all around very pleased! The service was very fast and accommodating to my schedule. I was in and out in less than 1 hour. The lobby was very clean and comfortable and I was greeted by one of the owners. Sidney did the work on my car and he was awesome. He quoted me the price for the parts and the labor on the spot and also texted me updates on the shipping and when to schedule the repair. He also quoted me a replacement part on the interior wood trim of my car and cross checked the part with my VIN to make sure it was the exact OEM replacement part. They were by far the best priced repair shop in the city especially for high end luxury cars. I had a great experience with them and would refer them to anyone in need of a vehicle repair! The rear wheel casing of my Discovery Sport was detached due to negligence; the truck was parked too close to the parking gate and the casing was ripped apart from the truck. I was sad. I contacted my insurance company who suggested I contact a repair shop of my choosing. I called another shop before choosing Chicago Autohaus. I made an appointment with Chicago Autohaus and came in for an estimate. I dropped the truck off on Monday (5/2). They kept me informed via phone calls and text every step of the way. On Saturday (5/7), my truck was ready for pick up. Chicago Autohaus did a fantastic job fixing my truck in a very short amount of time. I am very pleased with the outcome. I bought my 2018 Audi Q5 in to Autohaus for damages to my doors. The young lady at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. I was very particular about who I would chose to do the repairs and I went to several highly recommended places but Autohaus made me feel comfortable and satisfactorily addressed my concerns. Francisco greeted us each time with a friendly and professional demeanor and always put us at ease. When we picked up our vehicle I was very happy with the results. Not only do I think that the work done on my Audi was top notch but the young lady behind the desk also said that they give a lifetime warranty with any work they perform on your vehicle. I broke my driver side mirror off my car last night. It is exceedingly difficult to drive without mirrors so I needed fast service. I also needed a company with reasonable prices since I could not file an insurance claim because of a high deductible. I found Chicago Autohaus on google. I went to get an estimate before work today; The owner ordered the parts and scheduled me to return for the repair at lunch. I returned the car at lunchtime and it was repaired and back on my car within 15 minutes. I lost NO time from work and only 15 minutes from lunch. Apparently, they had prepped the mirror in anticipation of my return at lunch time. I Still cannot believe how fast this whole process was. I took my car in to get an estimate to fix my front bumper. The estimate they gave me was better than the other estimate I received so I chose them. They were so kind and professional, I made the appointment and the gentleman told me that it would be about a week and if they ran into any issues they would call me. The gentleman George did in fact run into a small issue so they text me and they called me. I was impressed with their due diligence. They were actually done with my car in three days. First of all let me say the the repair time took longer than expected, HOWEVER, they kept me informed every step of the way, and it was the parts supplier that was the issue. I love my pristine sparkly red Ford Escape and parked in a Target parking lot on N. Ashland, away from everyone else when a car sped into the lot slammed into me and put their car in reverse at full speed and drove out the way they came in. So my first call was to my insurance company and my 2nd call was to Chicago Autohaus. They were very professional and empathic, and were able to get my car in that day. What can I say bad about this place? NOTHING! Much respect for the hard work they do here. I've worked with Saif for a couple years and the service he provides is so awesome to the highest degree. On point, very fast, tells you what you need to be done and helps you with pricing and parts. I'am a owner of a couple vehicles and I give a lot of credit to Chicago Autohaus for look of my cars. Such a great team for the help needed. They direct you to the next step for the next level for where you car needs to be at. And the staff is amazing, I've dealt with all of them. Chicago Autohaus exceeded my expectations for the work that was done on my vehicle. I had a insurance claim that I brought to them to adjust and it was a seamless process. Francisco and Elmer are straight shooters and did their best to accommodate the situation. I believe they went above and beyond as they fixed the insurance claim which was damage to my front bumper along with some additional door damage at no cost. Service like this goes along way and is rare to see in the city. With that said, I highly recommend this shop if you are needing paint repairs/bodywork to your vehicle. Chicago Autohaus is an awesome shop! I first Spoke with Francisco the manger at the shop and he walked me trough the entire process. When I first arrived at the Autohaus it felt great, great vibes, great people and awesome customer services, Victoria was phenomenal once you walk in she makes you feel welcomed. My sis in-law accidentally hit my car while backing out of the driveway. It was pretty bad. When I got to Chicago Autohaus they had me in and out of there in 10 minutes. They were kind enough to set up my rental and drive me to the rental spot. The manager (I forgot his name) and Victoria were awesome. They were very communicative and explained everything that was going on. I was able to pick up my car a week earlier than quoted which was surprising since it happened over the Christmas and New Year's holidays. They even detail your car from you when you pick it up. This place is seriously ridiculous. My blower motor went out so I took it to them. Brought them the motor myself. So about an hour goes by, Jaime calls an said they can't fix it because there's no power? Really? Well I took it to someone else and guess what? There's power! While it was there I had them replace a DOOR HANDLE! So no heat plus they took my resistor out and left it on the floor. So un professional. And to add insult to injury because I had no heat these clowns charged me 220.00 dollars to put a DOOR HANDLE on. I don't know how they stay in business. Sickens me to know I paid these guys that much money to put a door handle on. read more

My driver side mirror was recently knocked off while parked on the street and, of course, no note was left. I called up a few places to get quotes, but they all seemed pretty high to me. A friend said he got his rims done at Chicago Autohaus and was pleased so I gave them a go. These guys were very friendly and broke down the quote to me so that I understood exactly what I was paying for. The work was priced fairly and the car came out better than expected. My car was damaged in an accident and Chicago Autohaus has been hugely helpful in the process of getting my car back on to the street. Over due review: I've been a Autohaus customer for about 6yrs. The quality and customer service (Technicians, Estimator and Front desk staff) is top notch! I have taken my last two new Mercedes from the dealer to Chicago Autohaus for customization on rims, brake calipers and window tints. Most recently, my wife decided to go Off-roading in the West Loop and destroyed the custom painted black rims. I wiped away my tears and took it to Autohaus and they returned looking better then new.
