    Outside terrace

Avoca is posh, no doubt about it. You only have to pull into the car park to see you are surrounded by BMWs and Mercedes. This is my favourite in the Avoca franchise, an expansive restaurant and terrace where you can relax, enjoy some tasty and healthy food and watch how the other half live. Avoca is expensive, we had the Tomato and Creme Fraiche soup and the Sweet Potato and Coriander soup and both cost 6.90e each which is pretty pricey for a bowl of soup. But the portions are big and this includes as much homemade bread as you want to eat, which I guess for most people would be maximum two slices. Most times they offer brown bread, a multi seeded loaf and a cheese loaf. You can also have quiche, sausage rolls (posh ones, not like the ones from Spar that you might get on your way home from a night out) and a huge range of salads. They also have some pretty yummy cakes too. On a hot day, like today, they have tables and chairs outside so you can have lunch looking up at the Wicklow mountains. So if you fancy going posh in the garden is Ireland , Avoca comes recommended from me. Just try not to get too jealous of all the swanky cars and expensive handbags!

This is I would say the largest Avoca both in terms of size and choice. Sine they refurbished and expanded you can find James Whelan Butchers, Sushi, Fishmongers, poulet bon femme, cheese counter etc. In addition to the above you still have the usual Avoca own brand goods a wonderful bakery and spacious cafe along with a restaurant. For the green fingers among us a garden center can be found towards the back with friendly staff who are ready to make suggestions on plants and what to buy.

By far my favourite Avoca. They have a huge shop, café and restaurant here. This one is always busy with tourists on their way to / from Glendalough but you will always get a table. Been here on a number of occasions for coffee and breakfast. I love the fresh white soda bread. The jam and cream scones and cheesecake are often my go to choice when here too. Have tried Fern House restaurant for breakfast and lunch. I have no complaints with any. They've recently extended the shop area and this now includes Whelan's Butchers, Mitchells Wine, Poulet Bonne Femme (They do AWESOME sandwiches here!!!)

(11/8/2017) If Anthropologie and Whole Foods had a baby, you'd get the Avoca Market. We had a pit stop/lunch here on a tour. Was a nice, unexpected respite, place seems a little out of the way to me, but it's a gem in the middle of the woods. It's a retail store cum café, bakery, deli, grocer, gardening center, wine shop, rotisserie, book store, pretty much a little something for everyone. Very high end stuff. Saw plenty of tourists arriving on motorcoaches (including ourselves), but did also see a few folks who looked like they might have been locals doing a little holiday shopping. The best looking thing there was the fresh roast pork or fresh roast chicken was heavenly.

My favorite store and dessert spot in Ireland. Delicious toffee cheesecake, lemon tart, coffee and cappuccino. It was so hard to decide! Gentleman at the counter was so patient in describing things. Just a lovely place. Highly recommend!

Half rotisory chicken, chips and 'slaw

Went for an early lunch with herself, she got a chicken sandwich with chips and 'slaw I got the half chicken with same. Delicious as per usual, they really don't scrimp on quality here, little pricy at €32, but it's backed up by the quality so can't really complain. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Their is a nice big outside seating area for dining in the summer. It's wasp city tho. so if ur scared of the evil yellow demons like me, a seat inside is a must!! If not enjoy the beautiful outdoors as the setting is so pretty. The food is avoca standard, which for those who haven't had is tip top notch. Quality ingredients used to make beautiful dishes packed full of flavour. The chefs working in this cafe know what they're at. Last time I was there was for breakie. I had simple scrambled egg and toast, but my oh my. When a chef is good he/she makes even the most boring, simple dishes into a memorable experience. They were delicious. Fluffy, buttery, scrambleyy goodness. Yum. Thinking back on them and I want them again. Mum had the blueberry macadamia nut pancakes with maple and crème fraîche. She loved them. She usually doesn't like pancakes or french toast when we're out because they "over cinnamon" them, but she agreed these pancakes were scrumptious because they hadn't been messed with. I thought the macadamia nuts were a very alluring addition. Not a bad word to say about this place. The surrounding shops are commendable. Such as the furniture shop has lovely little bits and bobs. Very enjoyable potter after a delish breakfast/lunch :)

Salmon salad I ordered was amazing - freshly picked, perfectly seasoned, and salmon was cooked perfectly. Vegetable soup with bread was simple yet tasty. The menu seems to change frequently - and the place filled up quickly for lunch with people waiting so I'd suggest you make reservations. Also dessert and bread they had were amazing - better than some of the "best" places in Dublin or anywhere else. The place is in the gardens - so you will get to enjoy the view of the garden if you get a table near windows.
