This company and Eyal have been magnificent. Eyal is very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. He works quickly and efficiently. I called him in the evening and he came the next morning to diagnose my refrigerator. I have a service contract with Broward Factory Service but they did nothing to diagnose or repair the problem when they came the day before. BFS said the he would call next week when the part came in, even though he never checked to see what needed to be replaced. That meant everything in our fridge would go bad and we could not find another fridge in stock to fit in our kitchen. Eyal diagnosed everything and went and got the parts the next day. When our oven broke, we tried to fix it ourselves, but lost confidence. We called a few places, but Aviv Appliances got back to use fastest with the best customer service. We had a technician out a day later and he was kind and worked quickly. While he fixed our oven, he also gave us information on what the problem was, how he was fixing it, and even the best way to use our oven for baking the optimal chocolate chip cookie! I recommended them to my friend who had an issue with her dishwasher and Aviv offered a fix she could try herself first before sending a tech out to help her save money. Fridge got hit with a power surge, burned out the fans. Hate dealing with electricity so called the pros. Tech showed up gave it a quick look and said it's the condenser motor. They would call back with an estimate. When I originally called I gave them the model number and was very specific about the problem. Enough that he should have guessed the problem and had the parts on hand. I get a call later that afternoon with a $400 estimate for parts and labor. It cost me $49 for a condenser fan and $25 for an evaporator fan. $10 for express shipping. A few YouTube videos, an hour of work and fridge is back in business. Not worth the headache, better off looking for a 3 star company. Reviews might be honest. read more

Service - diagnosed and replaced a bad heating element quickly and at a fair price. He explain why it happened and what we need to do to avoid future problems. He also checked our dryer vent. We noticed that our Kenmore fridge was feeling warm. The thermometer inside read 67.5 degrees. The freezer, however, was working perfectly. Freaky. Anywho, Hubs called Aviv Appliances. Roseanne, the receptionist was very polite and said that they would be out the next day. (We didn't call until after 3pm- we tried, in vain, to fix it ourselves). Roseanne called around 10 am the next day and told us the technician would be arriving within the hour. The technician arrived on time and discovered that the fan inside the fridge was broken and replaced it with a new one. He was here for about an hour and the fridge is now working perfectly. BEWARE!!! Aviv came out, diagnosed it and charged $365.00 to fix it. He could not demonstrate that it was fixed while he was here because we had to wait to let the ice freeze. It never worked. We called a few days later and reported that it was still not working. They came out again to check it out. Michelle from Aviv office called me a few hours later to say it was a different part, not the ice maker that was broken and it would cost another $200 to fix. I said that since he misdiagnosed it wrong initially and charged me for work and parts we did not need that I felt he should pay for the new part and fix it for free. I asked that she had a conversation with her boss and get back to me. That was over a month ago. I never hear back from anyone. Now I am heading into the holidays with no ice maker and am out $365! I cannot say enough good things about Aviv appliance services. The man who has come out to help us several different times has been such a gem. Not only does he only know his stuff, he is friendly and efficient. Many years ago a friend recommended the service and I trust her judgment. I have not been disappointed, in fact my experience has been delightful. They come out and help with whatever if you have two problems in one day they will charge you for one visit which is really efficient. I trust them and highly recommend the service. We had our garbage disposal replaced it with one he had for us and our timer on the dryer was also fixed the same day. He gave me some really good tips on how to preserve my washer and dryer which was above and beyond the call of duty. Eyal from Aviv diagnosed the problem of our fridge incorrectly (the problem was never the door of the fridge!) and he did not want to refund us for the incorrect diagnosis after another company (Fischer appliances) replaced the thermostat and solved the problem. We called Aviv on a Saturday after hours and our washer wouldn't work. With 2 kids we couldn't wait. Not only did he come out on his own to fix it, he spend an additional 45 minutes giving us pointers on what we can do better with various appliances in the house. We needed additional work, which was taken care of within a short period of time and a follow up call was made to make sure all was good. Great experience with Aviv applicances. Both our washer and fridge were acting up. We called one company and couldn't get an appointment for two weeks. We called Aviv on Monday and they were able to set up a service for Wed of that week. Of course by the time Eyal came over, the problems had fixed themselves. He still took the time to look everything over and give us tips/advice. He was intelligent and friendly and took the time to explain his thought process. He looked very professional. I had a problem with my newer, out of warranty refrigerator. I called 5 places from the manufacturer to local companies. One provided a price (over $500) site unseen that got me looking further as I was nervous to spend that amount. Some repair services were call centers and not very customer friendly. I called "Aviv" based on a recommendation by a near neighbor. Michele answered and was so pleasant concerned, knowledgeable. Took the info, had me send pics of the issues I was seeing, even suggested what may still be warranted by the manufacturer (if I wanted to go through them). I noted it wasn't covered as I had spoken with them. She called me back to let me know tech was on the way to my house (others noted anywhere from 1-2 weeks to help). She then called me back a few minutes later. I was lucky, as tech noticed an issue in the pics and Michele was able to guide me to my repair....without the expense of a tech visit!!!!! Aviv gets 5 stars for the fact they weren't going to make me wait two weeks....and then resolved the issue over the phone, saving me potential weeks of aggravation and unnecessary expenses! Again I realize I was lucky, but they helped to make my luck by being engaged with the issues and really hearing me. Even if they had come out (which they did not need to, as they fixed over the phone).....my issue would have been resolved today in any event! read more

I had previously used this repair service at a place I used to live at and they were great. Dishwasher broke over the weekend so I requested an appointment online Sunday. First thing Monday the office called and agreed to come out that day. The repair person came as promised, was very professional and nice and repaired it within 45 minutes. He had the part with him! He knows the brands of the appliances he repairs and educates. Repair fee reasonable and I'm typing as my dishes are washing. : ) Person scheduling is professional and calls when technician on way.
