    Says nothing about the exterior needing to be washed

    Rent pretty regularly from Avis. I travel for work. This has been by far the worst location I have been to. Tried calling the location repeatedly because I had wipers that fell off and no washer fluid. The vehicle also leaked oil all over the driveway. Never would pick up. Ended up stopping by another Avis for wipers and washer fluid. Tried talking to them about getting my driveway cleaned when I returned the car. Threatened to charge me 450$ for not taking the car through a car wash before bringing it back. Seriously?! Scam alert. Yeah...I strongly urge anyone reading this to pick (literally) any other location. This is a suspicion but I think one of the employees there is racist against white people. Came off strongly that way in 3 separate interactions with her.

    My experience with this location was EXCELLENT. The entire staff was great. Although the rates were high. The customer service was worth it.

I have a review on that experience also posted. Any lazy person not wanting to exert themselves, this is the place to work! Absolutely no consequences if you don't do your job professionally! AND GUESS WHAT? THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE DIDN'T CARE AGAIN AFTER I REACHED OUT TO THEM and HAD NO INTEREST IN TRYING TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT BY AT LEAST MAYBE OFFERING US A FREE RENTAL IN THE FUTURE OR SOMETHING! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!! Here is the story of what happened to us! We had a big move from Texas to Florida. I meticulously organized the entire move for our large family. Right down to creating a reservation with Hertz back in NOVEMBER 2025 for a 15-passenger van. To my surprise and disappointment, not once, did we receive a call, email or text from Hertz advising us that they did not have the vehicle we reserved and mind you, we reserved it 3-months prior to walking into the Hertz office to pick it up. However, we did find out, that day that we went to pick up this vehicle by two extremely unprofessional, unpleasant and EXTREMELY LAZY employees. Especially, the female employee who sat on her a$$ avoiding having to exert herself most of the time we were there. Since they did not have our 15-passenger van, we were told they could give us (2) electric 7-passenger vans in its place. While, I was not completely sold on this idea, We asked how to use these type vehicles, as we have never used an electric car before, and the lazy A$$ girl says, "I don't know." EXCUSE ME! How does a car rental agent not know the answer but yet, you offer these type vehicles. Do you believe that U-Haul in Katy, didn't have the size truck we requested, so we not only got a call and email from them advising us of this, but a text too, letting us know we could get the vehicle that we did want at another location and for the inconvenience, they would cut bill in half. CRAZY, RIGHT! Hmmm! Why can they be professional but not Hertz? But wait, it gets better!!!! I had also arranged for a car rental from 1/21-1/31 that I paid $86 more for an upgrade on. However, when there, I was told they didn't have that car either, that we upgraded and paid for, so we needed to settle for a smaller SUV and the only price difference was $4 less. How is that even possible? The original car that we were going to get before upgrade was the same type car they were offering. $86 vs $4. I had also used Affirm for this car rental like we have done so many times when renting cars at other rental agencies (Budget, Enterprise, Dollar, etc.). However, the male rep told me to tap the card. I explained this was paid for by Affirm and that they provided me with a digital credit card that he would need to enter it manually. He said he couldn't do that. This is ludicrous as many bank cards don't have the capability of tapping either. My personal bank credit or debit card doesn't have the ability to tap. It's a small bank. Not every card has this feature. The employees acted as if we didn't matter! They were rude, lazy and unprofessional! Hertz left us scrambling last minute for two new rentals! Thankfully, Enterprise was there to help us and what a great experience! Courteous, professional and NOT LAZY staff at all!!!! Do you realize how much money Hertz lost from us for these two rentals. However, Enterprise was more than happy to take it from us and we were happy to pay. Hertz needs to improve on who they hire. Stop hiring lazy, rude a$$ and unprofessional staff. Educate them and for God's Sake, contact customers if you don't have the vehicles. Personally, I believe these two staff members should be fired! They lost Hertz business and they don't deserve the paycheck! They just didn't care about doing their job or taking care of the customer. In conclusion, if Enterprise didn't have a 15- passenger van, we would have been in a world of hurt. Thank God they came through for us!!!!! Budget has also been amazing when ever we deal with them. We won't even give Hertz a third chance. They have lost our business and a lot of business as we travel a lot. Good riddens!!

    Worst Rental Experience!…read more I wish I could give them negative stars, that's how bad my experience was. I have a confirmation for a rental and received both a reminder of the confirmation the day prior to pick up via text and email messaging. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle no one greeted us when we walked in. The representative at the mumbled that they did not have my rental and refused to offer any assistance. To make matters worse, Hertz's customer service is non existent. I see why the store representatives are rude and incompetent, because the customer care team is like that as well. I have used Hertz for years but after my experience today I can justify using them ever again

    A few weeks ago, my family and I rented a car for a road trip. Upon entering the store, we were…read moregreeted by an employee named Preston, who appeared distracted and was texting while welcoming us. He informed us that no cars were available and that we would need to wait, despite our prior reservation. I asked a few questions to better understand why our reserved vehicle was unavailable, but Preston was short, dismissive, and unwilling to explain or offer solutions. We even asked if we could upgrade to a higher vehicle class and pay the difference just to get a car, but he repeatedly refused to explore any alternative options, only stating that "they were working on it." When a vehicle was eventually returned (one that did not meet our needs), Preston insisted that we had to take it because it matched our reservation. As customers willing to pay for an upgrade, being told we were REQUIRED to accept a vehicle we didn't want was completely unacceptable and the back and forth with Preston became increasingly uncomfortable. Preston then told us another branch had a car available and that his manager recommended we drive there. After speaking directly with the manager, Quantavious, we learned this wasn't true - there was no car available at that location and doesn't Enterprise offer a service to drive customers to another location for a car? It became apparent that Preston was simply trying to get us to leave the store. Thankfully, once the manager became involved, the situation changed entirely. Quantavious and another employee, Kurt, were extremely helpful, transparent, and solution oriented. They explained the challenges the branch was facing (something Preston DID NOT do) and ultimately provided us with an upgrade that had been available the whole time, even though Preston previously refused to let us purchase an upgrade to avoid the long wait. What began as a very frustrating and uncomfortable experience was ultimately resolved through the professionalism and excellent customer service of Quantavious and Kurt. I am grateful for their assistance, but deeply disappointed by the lack of effort and courtesy from Preston.

I picked up a rental at 5 in the evening on a Wednesday. I returned at 1:30 on a Saturday. The location on Mason closed at 1:00 the parking lot was full. I returned the key & was charged for a full day . I have rented from this location for the last 5 years. The staff has changed & the quality has gone down, the staff was extremely low budget. I suggest people consider other competitive car rental companies , for better deals , better service, & better professional experience.... The staff appears to be the bottom end of the totem pole when it comes to intellect .     I went to drop off my rental car and pick up my vehicle at Autonation collision. I arrived 22…read moreminutes before closing (6pm) and no one was at the enterprise counter. The collision center employees told me they had left just before 5:30. So I had to leave my rental key with my name on a piece of paper on the counter for them, where I found two other keys left in the same manner. Throughout having the rental, I had "change oil light come on the same week I had rented it. The low tire press light was on, and the registration expired while I had it. I notified them of these problems at least 3 times while I had the vehicle. I was told that they would find me a replacement vehicle because of the registration but they wanted me to take time out of my day to take the vehicle to a local shop and wait for the maintenance to get done, which should have been done before renting it out to someone. They never did get me a replacement vehicle, so I just kept driving on an expired Registration because I had no other choice. Basically, rental cars are in such high demand right now that they aren't maintaining them at all. The priority is to just make it look nice before pumping it out to the next customer.
