He recommended a Chevrolet Suburban for its spacious interior, room for two baby car seats, comfortable seating for additional family members, and a large trunk for all our luggage. It turned out to be the perfect choice for our trip. What truly stood out was Son's professionalism and kindness. He took the time to walk me through the SUV's features, carefully inspected the vehicle with me, and made sure I felt comfortable before leaving. Knowing that we had less than an hour before heading out of town, he also sped up the checkout process to help us get on the road quickly. When I picked up and dropped off my car, only one person was working. While they were very friendly and did their best, they could easily become overloaded when multiple people show up. When I picked up my car, I waited ~20min for the two parties ahead of me, which is reasonable, but I could also drive 20 min away to another larger location in that time. Avis cars are typically cleaner and have lower mileage than other neighborhood rental agencies. Check to see if your car insurance covers rentals, as it's certainly more expensive if you get it from Avis.

These people suck. I reserved a truck on a Saturday, to be picked up the next Thursday at 8 am. The…read moreday before (Wednesday), I get a message left in the early afternoon that they had no trucks on the lot, and I needed to call their 800 number to find a location that actually had a truck for me to rent. Due to work, I didn't get that message until the early evening. I called the 800 number right away, and the not-very-helpful clerk told me that I would have to speak to the inventory manager, who would contact me by 10 am the following day--yes, the day I was supposed to be moving and out the door at 8 am, I was going to have to wait around to find out if they even had a truck I could rent. Oh, and she asked me how far I would be willing to drive to pick it up? 10 miles? 25 miles? 50 miles? 100 miles? This was for a move of approximately four miles. In short, a reservation with these people is worth absolutely nothing. They will disregard it at their convenience. I would suggest you look somewhere else, anywhere else, if you need a rental.

Used them in the past, but service has gone down. Rented two vans in January, and called to see if…read moreit was okay that I was about 2 hours later than originally anticipated. They told me it was fine, and to leave the keys in the dropbox. While I was looking through my receipts the next month, I find out that they charged us for an additional day. No warning. No email. No phone call. They charged us almost half the entire rental cost for the weekend for being a few hours late. We had returned the vans late because we were cleaning and vacuuming them out to return them in better condition. Because they said it was no problem, we took the time to clean them up well. They punished us with over $300 in fines. I called in, no correction. We won't be doing business with them again.
