A few weeks ago, my family and I rented a car for a road trip. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by an employee named Preston, who appeared distracted and was texting while welcoming us. He informed us that no cars were available and that we would need to wait, despite our prior reservation. I asked a few questions to better understand why our reserved vehicle was unavailable, but Preston was short, dismissive, and unwilling to explain or offer solutions. We even asked if we could upgrade to a higher vehicle class and pay the difference just to get a car, but he repeatedly refused to explore any alternative options, only stating that "they were working on it." When a vehicle was eventually returned (one that did not meet our needs), Preston insisted that we had to take it because it matched our reservation. As customers willing to pay for an upgrade, being told we were REQUIRED to accept a vehicle we didn't want was completely unacceptable and the back and forth with Preston became increasingly uncomfortable. Preston then told us another branch had a car available and that his manager recommended we drive there. After speaking directly with the manager, Quantavious, we learned this wasn't true - there was no car available at that location and doesn't Enterprise offer a service to drive customers to another location for a car? It became apparent that Preston was simply trying to get us to leave the store. Thankfully, once the manager became involved, the situation changed entirely. Quantavious and another employee, Kurt, were extremely helpful, transparent, and solution oriented. They explained the challenges the branch was facing (something Preston DID NOT do) and ultimately provided us with an upgrade that had been available the whole time, even though Preston previously refused to let us purchase an upgrade to avoid the long wait. What began as a very frustrating and uncomfortable experience was ultimately resolved through the professionalism and excellent customer service of Quantavious and Kurt. I am grateful for their assistance, but deeply disappointed by the lack of effort and courtesy from Preston. read more

Great location that rents specifically trucks and they came through when I was in need a of a rental work truck

They don't answer the phone. I tried to drop my rental off Saturday night when I had transportation home, but couldn't find the key drop box. Called Sunday they couldn't come get it and wanted me to pay for Uber to drop it off, said no. They said they would pick it up Monday after 2pm and would call me. It is Tuesday, they have not called and they don't answer the phone. On their corporate chat for customer service, they stated they would have a manager call me asap Monday. Still no call and now I am paying for extra 3 days on this rental. The rental also has a tire that keeps going flat and I had to pay to air the tire up. They gave me this rental knowing I was going to drive it out of town. Why would they give me a car with a flat, not safe. read more

So I went online to reserve a truck and then informed them that I was running late and they said no problem. I get there and they tell me that they no longer have the vehicle I reserved. This place is great! Friendly and speedy services. I have been coming here for the last 3 months renting a car every 2 weeks for work and every time, they never failed me. They get me in and out within 5 minutes. If for some reason they dont have the car you reserved (rarely happens) they would upgrade you up at no additional charge. I reserved for a compac, but unfortunately they did not have one, they quickly upgrade me up to a Camaro without hesitation and get out of there in minutes. The car are always clean and pristine when they deliver it over to me. Every single staff there are perfect, polite, and fast. Some are even funny! I had a very bad experience at another place down the street *coughhertzcough*, so I am very grateful to have found this specific enterprise location. They are gonna messed you up, like they did to me, im almost so close to cancel my thanksgiving plans, but thanks to NATIONAL for giving us a better SUV. This is the first time that ENTERPRISE- on this specific location did to me, and this is not my first time either to rent a car from then. I have been using expedia as my 3rd party for my car rental for years. Manager wont work on you, no thing like a common sense! I've used this Enterprise location quite a few times and have not had any of the dismal or infuriating concerns so far. Each time I've rented from this location and Enterprise in general, I've been treated with attentiveness and respect. Have I had to wait for a vehicle to be readied? Yes. Was this frustrating? Yes, but aren't we always huffy when made to wait with our busy schedules? I do have enough sensibility to realize this national rental chain is busy, and just like a popular restaurant, demand will outweigh supply on some days. Every employee I remember interacting with has been professional, and I would expect so. Let's keep in mind most Enterprise employees are college graduates. My husband and I rented a car and needed to drop off at this location. We called to see if they had a shuttle to a near by private airport and they said yes but we could drop the car off at the airport instead. They have this airport listed as a drop off/pickup location. They instructed us to leave the keys with the front desk at the airport which we did. Almost two months later I receive my rental bill. We had the car for one week yet the bill reflected we had the car for over a month! To my surprise, this Katy location let the car sit at the airport for three more weeks after it was returned and billed me for their negligence. I called to sort the issue at least three times and enterprise told me they would update my bill and resend. This never happened. I plead my case to American Express with all proof and was issued a refund. Enterprise turned around and fought the issue and somehow revoked the refund. I've called this location yet again twice and have been told they would handle it and fix it. Never happened. Whatever you do, don't listen to a thing these kids say. They cost me over $2000.00! My mom & I were in a car accident and needed a rental. We get to enterprise & they tell us they have ONE car (the biggest/ most expensive) we asked if they could have one sent from another location or price match (it's their policy) the guy says no, because we don't have a reservation! WE GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT! I told him I didn't plan to be there that day, we didn't plan for an accident. He said, yeah well I can't do it. I reserved a car here via Expedia.com well in advance. The day of pick up they did not even cars available for other customers. They made me wait for over 45 minutes for a car that was supposed to be there in the first place and then was going to come from other location in 15 minutes. The manager did not seem to care. After waiting and not getting any serious answer I had to drive my car to San Antonio for a business meeting. This is by far the closest location I have near home, but I will never use this company or location again. read more

This enterprise location was AWFUL. I rented a car online days before I needed to pick it up. I requested a pick-up time at 9:30 a.m, and I arrived at 9a.m. I was not helped until 9:40 a.m. The guy at the counter, Curtis, who is apparently the manager, ran my card and was about to hand me the keys when I asked if the car had satellite radio. He grabbed a few more sets of keys and said he would be right back so I could get on the road. Half an hour later, he still had not returned. I asked the other guy at the counter when I should expect him, and he said he had just gotten off the phone with Curtis and that it sounded like he was driving around. DRIVING AROUND WHILE ON THE JOB!? I asked if he would be back soon or if he was out running an errand, and the guy at the counter said "who knows". I waited a bit more, and the guy at the counter was telling others with 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. reservations that their cars would not be ready until 1 p.m. or later because they did not have any cars available. I asked when my car would be ready and he said "probably in a couple of hours". I asked them to cancel the reservation and return the money on my card. I went to Hertz on 10 and Mason and they had a car available for me, even though I didn't make a reservation. I reserved my car for 9:30 a.m., I expect to have my car ready at 9:30 a.m. Other places, like Avis and Hertz, will not even allow you to make a reservation online if there are no cars available. Enterprise deceives people by allowing for an online reservation to be made while fully knowing that they will not be able to provide a service at the reserved time. If they knew that there was not going to be a car available at my scheduled pick-up time, which I arrived to 30 minutes early, they could have told me then rather than make me (and other customers) wait an hour and a half to be told that they wouldn't have any cars until much later that day. Additionally, Curtis should not have said that he was going to check if the car had a feature and would return shortly if he knew he was going to run a personal errand or do "who knows" what. Seriously, what kind of manager is he if he cannot be there all morning and goes out on a drive instead of helping customers? Terrible manager, terrible service. I am never going there again. Hertz on I10 in Mason always has cars available and has great customer service. read more

I'm never using Enterprise again. Here I am on my vacation with a CONFIRMATION NUMBER and no rental car. A confirmation number means nothing here. You have to have a CREDIT CARD if you are not local, NOT A DEBIT/CREDIT CARD but they will let you book a car get on an airplane and fly to another state before they let you know you are going to be stranded. I shouldn't have been given a confirmation number if the reservation wasn't going to work. Don't get stranded, don't use enterprise! HERTZ let me get one no problem... wink wink read more

I booked a mini-van almost over one month in advance for a Christmas ski vacation. They called me two days before the rental saying they had no mini-vans in stock. They offered two cars at the price of one, but we don't want to split our family and would have to pay double the gas. It has really screwed up our Christmas vacation. They have no solution. I had used Enterprise when my car as totaled so I thought I would use them again when I needed a one way rental. The customer service was outstanding when I picked up my car. The reason I am giving such a low rating is because of the vehicle I was given. The registration on the windshield was expired by nearly two months. I was afraid I would get stopped and given a ticket. The Dodge Dart needed a front end alignment. It was so bad I could only drive 50 mph to Austin instead of the speed limit of 75. My trip took twice as long and my hands were still shaking hours after I dropped it off. Don't they do regular checkups and maintance on the cars people return. I'm a regular at this location and have been very satisfied with there service. I've been less then happy with some of there previous customers...some people just have no respect for other peoples property and really take advantage of the some of these vehicles. As a business owner myself I understand about overhead and only keeping the number of vehicles that you will need and some times that means turning the keys over to another customer before having a chance to do a thorough cleaning but if it keeps my cost down I'm willing to live with that. I rent a vehicle on a weekly basis from this location they have always had a vehicle ready for me and when they didn't have one they upgraded for me at no extra cost. This location is the best by far... I made a reservation over the phone, it was confirmed the next day and my car was ready for pick-up on time. The car was very good and clean.
