After a series of house-related traumas, a major plumbing incident left us with well over a dozen…read morelarge holes and cutouts in the drywall across several rooms - on walls, ceilings, in cabinets, under the kitchen sink, over the hot water heater, you name it --caused by plumbers trying to locate hidden pipes and manifolds. After so many things going wrong and overwhelming surprises, we felt shell-shocked and uncertain about how to restore our home to a livable condition. Because the repairs would need to be paid out of pocket rather than covered by insurance, it added an extra layer of stress and despair to the entire situation. A friend recommended Reynolds Painting, but we still wanted to cast a wide net and get multiple estimates, given the scope of the damage and the limits of our extremely prohibitive budget. There were other professionals who turned us down outright. They were not confident they could make the repairs without the results being visibly noticeable, even admitting they didn't want to take on a job with so many tricky cuts and patches. Everyone agreed that the types of repairs we needed would require someone with superior skills, and they just didn't want to risk their time or reputations when they couldn't guarantee we would be happy. Then we met Jason from Reynolds Painting. From the start, Jason was calm, reassuring, and confident --exactly what we needed after such a stressful experience. He saw the many challenges of our situation and didn't flinch. Instead, he presented a reasonably priced estimate for the work, and he and his team delivered results that can only be described as outstanding. They repaired every hole--even a few we weren't aware of until after the initial estimate--and left the walls and ceilings looking flawless. You honestly cannot tell there has ever been any damage. What stood out just as much as the craftsmanship was Jason's hands-on approach and genuine investment in ensuring the experience was positive for us. He checked in regularly to make sure the work was up to his high standards. You can tell he truly cares--not just about the final product, but also about his team and his clients. He fosters a positive environment for his employees, giving them both support and autonomy, which clearly reflects in the quality of the work and the mutual respect displayed by everyone. Reynolds Painting is a family-run business that takes pride in doing things right. The repairs were completed efficiently and to perfection, communication was consistent, and everything was done at a fair price. We're incredibly happy with the results and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Reynolds Painting to anyone. If you're looking for exceptional drywall repair (or painting services) and want to work with people who genuinely care-- call Jason at Reynolds Painting. We could not be more pleased!

We were introduced to Sergio, Fairfield Drywall Inc. by our insurance company…read more After doing the dry wall, Sergio volunteered to take up the wall painting too. It's a special type of texture and paint work. Having experienced the job outcome which was neat, we showed him a part of our main entrance where we wanted some work done. At the time of the first job too, keeping time and appointment was seen as a challenge. Several times he changed the appointment date and time and then too never made on time committed, but we considered it acceptable and an exception since he mentioned there were circumstances beyond his control. For the next job too where the job lasted a couple of days, keeping appointment time was a consistent problem. As the job was completed late in the evening, the exact outcome especially the defect were not fully visible, yet. On seeing the uneven and patchy work during the day light, made contact and an appointment with him. He assured that the job will be finished properly this time and he will give us "a beautiful outcome". He was to send the invoice for the materials and services, which is not received even now. On the appointed day, waited no one came. Called him after a few days, he said he missed noting down the appointment and said he din respond to the text or call as he was out of the country on an emergency but will come back that Friday to finish the job. Friday too passed and he did not come nor informed. Tried calling, then sent a text saying if he is not willing to fix and complete the job, he should send the paperwork atleast. No response. This is not just being unreliable but also quite irresponsible. We are now with an incomplete and not happy looking outcome :( when the whole purpose of engaging the services was to make the space look prettier !

I used trusty Yelp project and managed to get one solid quote from a 5-star place, along with other inquires of interest from several painting contractors. Sergio provided a response a few days later and was transparent about the scope and gave a competitive bid. Plus his availability matched our schedule so we went with him. Sergio did an awesome job and was extremely meticulous. It took about a day to install the insulation, new drywall, and texturing. After 2.5 days of letting everything dry out, he came back on a Saturday and managed to paint everything to matching colors. He left our laundry room and garage nearly spotless. I highly recommend reaching out to Sergio for drywall repair needs. Our damaged area is about 30 square feet or so its probably too large a scope for most painting contractors and maybe a handyman. Its best to work with a specialist in drywall like Sergio and pay a little extra for the paint job afterwards.
