    Emma graduating from Marth's Training.
    Kevin R.

I adopted Emma at the age of 8 weeks. I knew from her mixed breed that she should get training as soon as possible. Marth was recommended to me from my neighbor and I couldn't be more happy with the results. I know Marth was the right trainer for me when I first met him. He is honest, genuine, and very sweet with Emma. I think what I like about him the most is that he was straight to the point and wasn't scared to call me out on anything I was doing wrong with the training. In the end he really wants you to be the best trainer/parent to your dog. He is really knowledgable about dogs and you can tell how much he cares for them. Not to mention he is really funny and easy to be around during your sessions.  Emma was my first dog as an adult and I had so many questions in the beginning. Marth was always a text away from any concerns or recommendations. I know what kind of food and toys are perfect for Emma because of Marth. He really knows his stuff and has been a lot of help for us outside of training.  During his personal training he really teaches you a lot on how to train your dog so you can have that special connection with them. I have a lot anxiety issues and he worked with me to help me get through some of my issues so that I can be a better father to Emma. An add on to his training that is really valuable is his social classes. In his social classes, you can train your dog with other dogs around. This has been beneficial with Emma and her listening to me with other distractions. I highly recommend Marth to anyone who really wants honest and valuable training for their dogs. He is the best trainer in the valley. His prices are more than fair for what you are getting.

Marth was an amazing trainer. He helped our anxious and uncontrollable golden doodle. We were never able to go out for peaceful walks with her. It was always a struggle with pulling and barking. After working with Marth, we are now able to enjoy more activities including our dog. Such as hiking, dog friendly restaurants, parks, and just our simple daily walks. We never thought we would be able to do all of these things with our dog. She has also learned to be off leash and recall on command. She is a completely different dog than from the start of our training. I highly recommend Marth for your dog training needs. He was a pleasure to work with!

Before I begin my review, I'd like to share a little bit about my pup. Milo is a DEAF 10 month old Pitbull mixed puppy. He is a loving sweet boy but because of his special needs it was 1) getting hard to communicate with him and 2) because I wasn't able to communicate with him he was getting away some typical puppy misbehavior. This is where Marth comes in. We've only met with Marth for two sessions and one social class and we already see a HUGE improvement. Marth has introduced us proper sign language signs that we now use to communicate with Milo. He educated us on how to properly hold a leash and how to control it, which is important when walking a dog. Milo has learned and is continuing to work on skills to keep him from from running towards strangers (dogs included) for attention and play time. Most importantly, Marth has given my boy friend and I hope and reassurance that we are capable of raising a well behaved and loving deaf pup. If you're looking for the real deal-look no further! Marth is your guy! Milo loves him and we are just over the moon with the improvements we have seen so far. We can't wait to see how much better behaved our Milo will get. Thank you, Marth!

Marth is fantastic! We found him thru reviews like this in the area. We were desperate for help with our Golden Retriever puppy who was biting and jumping up on people. We had done training at Petco and it helped a little but we needed a Pro! Marth is a nice guy and helped our family understand how to train and encourage our Dog properly.. even my 11yr old daughter is now training him with the tips and guidance from Marth. He is awesome!! He knows his stuff and is friendly and no judgment. Well worth the $$$.

Writing this 1 session before my pup graduates and I feel like this is long over due because we saw progress within the very first class! Honestly I wish I would have written a review after every single session because we learned something new and met different goals after every single session! We are 1st time dog owners and have a 1yr old yorkie named Kobe who started his training at 11 months old and my only regret is not finding Marth earlier! We signed up for the silver package and started training with 2 main concerns. 1.Walks were always a struggle! Kobe would pull and eat anything he could find on the ground. He was also reactive towards dogs whining, pulling and getting so overly excited that he would even walk on his hind legs when we tried to pull him away! 2.We unfortunately had a couple of incidents where Kobe accidentally got away from us while he was on and off leash and my biggest fear was always that something bad would happen to him. Here we are 11 sessions in about to graduate and I cannot thank Marth enough for everything he has taught us! Kobe now knows proper leash manners and no longer eats things off the floor! He is way less reactive towards other dogs. He still gets excited but now listens to our commands and will leave dogs alone when we tell him to. Learning how to build a strong recall has given me such peace of mind because now even when he is off leash he will come to me when called! Oh btw did I forget to mention, he is also now officially off leash! That was always the ultimate goal but something I honestly thought would only be possible in my dreams! Kobe is now well behaved during walks on and off leash and is incredibly obedient inside our home and outside! We love seeing how impressed people get with everything he has learned and even more we love how he now gets to live life to the fullest thanks to his training! Marth is without a doubt the best trainer out there! He teaches you how to train your dog with both positive and negative reinforcement which in our experience has been the best balance! He is there for you whenever you need him, most trainers will only help you during your sessions but you can reach out to him at any time of the week with any questions or concerns at no extra charge! You can even reach out to him after you finish the program! One thing I read when looking into his services always stuck with me, he said that when you train with him he is your trainer for life! That is something I think shows how much he truly cares about his work and his clients! Training has been the best investment we have ever made! With Marth you don't just get what you pay for, you get that and so much more! He goes above and beyond so it goes without saying that if you are looking for a trainer, there is no need to look any further!

    My pup Apollo :)
    Annalise M.

Marth is awesome! He is so knowledgeable on training and dog breeds. He is quick to respond and his prices are so affordable! Apollo is a rescue that had no leash manners whatsoever and some major trust issues. Marth worked amazingly and diligently with me and my pup! He walks at my side and does not react when he sees other dogs now. Previously, he would pull my arm off and buck up like a horse when he saw other dogs. We worked off leash too since Apollo used to run off all the time. I've struggled with Apollo's recall but his voice command is amazing now! Honestly, it's like a having whole new dog. One of my biggest goals was to pass the AKC Good Citizen test with Apollo (for landlord reasons). All thanks to a few weeks training with Marth, Apollo was able to pass the test (that Marth can also administer!). I HIGHLY recommend Marth for anyone in the area looking for dog training.

Esme happy after playing with the flirt pole

We thought Esme our chihuahua mix pup was well socialized because she wanted to meet every dog she ran into but it started becoming problematic as she started lunging during walks. After 12 sessions with Marth we learned being social doesn't mean getting to meet every dog. Esme now let's dogs pass by during walks and is able to be off leash in the park without chasing other dogs she sees. She also has the confidence to run up trees and jump though agility courses. We're so happy we went with Marth and his play based training. We have such a better understanding and relationship with our pup and we have Marth to thank for that

    Appa's graduation

If I could give more than 5 stars to Marth and his training program I would!! His program was the best 12 week experience I could've asked for. The progress my dog made each week was so rewarding! From the first lesson, my dog Appa learned to heel on a leash and each week we learned more and more helpful obedience training. Marth helped me realize that my relationship with Appa was one of the most important factors with training. I now have such a strong bond with Appa - through the training experience, we have been able to learn and grow together! It was definitely a lot of work and consistent training but we had so much fun through it all. Would 100% recommend anyone who is interested in training their dog to contact Marth!

Pisco was a rescue and when we first got him he was afraid of everything, he barked a lot (to everyone and everything), he also didn't listen.... I thought he couldn't becone a service dog, but... after training with Marth, Pisco is almost there. Marth had the patience to not only train my dog but to teach me too how to handle him. He really cares for Pisco and it shows. I'm very happy with the results and my dog is everyday closer to the goal. Thank you!!

    Gabby D.

Hi everyone. My name is Gabby and I'm a first time dog owner. I have a 9 month old Siberian Husky and everyone warned me about how stubborn and energetic huskies are. I got Leia at two months but due to the pandemic, we started training at 5 months. I contacted him right away because I had no idea how to train a dog. She's been training with Marth for 3 months. Since day one, I knew I made a great investment. The best part is that he doesn't do the work for you, he teaches you how to do it first and observes you while you train your dog during your sessions. He's there to support you even when you're not training. He's a call/text away. The key is to be consistent and practice what he teaches you and your dog every day. Leia gets so happy to see Marth every Saturday. He takes the time to build a relationship with your dog. You can tell he really loves what he does. I highly recommend him so please don't hesitate to reach out to him. You won't regret it. Thank you Marth. Leia and I are going explore life the best way we can and it's all thanks to you. :)

Sally has been there for us through training, boarding, board-and-train, and daycare, and I have never once worried about leaving our dog in her hands. Her place truly feels like our dog's second home, and that kind of trust means everything. Her assistant, Sam, is also wonderful, kind, attentive, and clearly just as caring with the dogs. They also go above and beyond with enrichment and socializing, taking the dogs on walks, to dog parks, and even on beach outings. Thanks to the socialization and experiences they provide, our dog's confidence has grown so much. One of the sweetest things Sally did was throw a birthday party at daycare for our girl's first birthday and her dog friends. It was such a special memory and just shows how much love she puts into what she does. If you're looking for someone who will love your dog as much as you do, Sally is your person. I was entirely overwhelmed and at my wit's end trying to manage her behaviors. When I hired Brett, I'll admit I fought him along the way on some of the training protocols--but in the end, he was correct about EVERYTHING. The most vital thing for difficult or frustrated dog owners to understand is that Brett's training isn't just about fixing the dog; it is primarily about training YOU, the owner. He provides an exceptional structure and leadership framework, but it only works if you are willing to check your own habits, get on board, and consistently follow through as a pack leader. His methods are incredibly kind, humane, and highly effective at correcting severe behavioral issues. Today, I am so incredibly happy with how my once-crazy dog has turned out. Thanks to Brett, Lucy is a wonderful companion who listens perfectly, handles major environment changes like moving to Downtown LA beautifully, and doesn't react to other people or animals anymore. Having her in my life has truly become the amazing journey I always hoped it would be. If you are willing to put in the work on your end, Brett is absolutely the best master trainer you can find!

When I called Brett for the initial consult, he was patient, understanding but also honest and direct about the time and effort it would take and the changes we would have to make to have a real impact. We were open to the feedback and committed to making a change in and out of our home. WOW. We've been working with Brett consistently for 3 months and Teddy is like a new dog. He is calmer, happier, more obedient, and much more confident and tolerate of being touched (especially on sensitive areas like his paws!). Our friends and family have all been shocked at the noticeable difference in Teddy's overall demeanor (happier and calmer!) and behavior. Our groomer asked us what had changed as he was so much calmer and happier to deal with. I want to be clear this is no "magic pill" we put in the work but with Brett's guidance and structure, we cannot believe the results. Teddy is of course still a work in progress and we have more work to do, but seeing the progress he's made in such a short amount of time with Brett's thoughtful approach has been so exciting. Brett truly understands dogs and their psychology and this makes him a true expert. Just know that part of the training process is training your pup but also training yourself to adjust your own behaviors to create a positive outcome long term for everyone. To start on a positive note: the instructors at Zoom Room Sherman Oaks are wonderful. They were kind, patient, knowledgeable, and great with my puppy. I truly have nothing negative to say about the training staff themselves. Unfortunately, management completely changed my perception of this business. When I first reached out about enrolling my puppy at just 3 months old, Diego was extremely responsive, accessible, and accommodating. At the time, it felt like he genuinely cared about helping me get started early and setting my puppy up for success. Looking back now, it feels more like the priority was simply making the sale. I purchased a 20-class package and completed about 10 sessions before I was involved in an accident that medically took me out for several months. Once I recovered enough to return, I was excited to continue training and finish the remaining sessions I had already paid for -- only to suddenly be told that my classes had "expired." Here's the issue: nowhere during the sales process do I remember this being clearly explained, nor is it something that stood out on their website when I enrolled. Had someone transparently told me, "These classes must be completed within X amount of time or you lose them," I would have understood the terms upfront. Instead, I was left feeling blindsided after dealing with a serious medical situation that was completely outside my control. What made this experience especially frustrating was how differently I was treated once I needed help instead of making a purchase. Diego suggested I contact the Culver City location because they are corporate-owned and might be able to approve an exception. Their staff was incredibly kind, empathetic, and accommodating. They even told me they personally did not understand why Sherman Oaks would not work with me given the circumstances surrounding my accident. Unfortunately, because Sherman Oaks is independently owned, Culver City could not override their decision. At that point, it became increasingly clear that Diego simply did not want to accommodate me. Communication suddenly became difficult. Calls to the office repeatedly went straight to voicemail for days. Messages went unanswered. The number Diego originally provided me to text him through stopped working entirely. Eventually, I called from my office phone instead of my personal number -- and magically the call finally rang through and Diego answered immediately. That moment honestly confirmed what I had already suspected: it truly felt like my number had been blocked to avoid speaking with me. That is beyond unprofessional. When I finally spoke to him, he initially pretended not to know who I was before quickly changing course and stating that "they" would not approve an exception. When I politely asked who "they" referred to, he avoided giving a direct answer. I asked for justification as to why a customer recovering from an accident could not simply finish sessions that were already paid for, especially when another Zoom Room location agreed the request was reasonable. His response was essentially: "Then go there instead." I have been nothing but polite throughout this entire process. I have supported this business from day one. Every class visit included additional purchases for my dog. Yet the moment I needed basic understanding and compassion, I was treated like an inconvenience. Eventually Diego admitted that he had made previous exceptions for me related to cancellations that were also outside my control. Somehow, instead of those accommodations demonstrating reasonable customer service, he used them as justification for why he would no longer help me. That mentality says everything. A good manager understands that life happens. Accidents happen. Medical emergencies happen. Especially in a business centered around pets, people, and community, you would hope kindness and empathy would matter more than rigid policies selectively enforced after payment has already been collected. This entire experience has completely changed my perception of Zoom Room Sherman Oaks. Again, the trainers are fantastic -- but management can absolutely ruin an otherwise great business. He told me that I could speak with Jillian (which I imagine is another manager), but he ended with, "but she won't be approving you either." I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner of this location because this experience was handled terribly from start to finish. Until then, I would strongly encourage potential customers to think carefully before investing large amounts of money here. Based on my experience, the customer care disappears the moment flexibility, compassion, or accountability are needed.

I want the best for my puppies, so I asked so many different people where and how they trained their dogs. I received a few suggestions, but decided to do my own search...and I'm glad I did. Leo (Owner) and his amazing team of trainers TRULY care about the pups they train. Leo came to my home and wanted to meet me and my pups before I had to decide on making any decisions. After sitting down with him for about half an hour, I knew I found what I was looking for: Someone who wants me to have healthy and happy dogs. I signed up for the in-home training at first which is Leo coming to the house and training me on how to train my puppies (Archie and Charlie just turned 6 months and started with Leo and his team when they were 4.5). Very quickly, I realized I could not handle training both these puppies the way they needed to be trained. I discussed with Leo and decided to do a Board & Train. I like the schedule because I get to take the puppies on the weekends to spend time with me. Don't get me wrong, you NEED to train your pups on the weekends, but it's worth it and FUN. Archie has become the Puppy King (no offense to other puppies or their owners )). Charlie has a lot more energy, but has improved immensely! Leo's trainers are so caring. I feel my dogs get love with their training when they're not with me, and I couldn't ask for more. I see their excitement whenever I visit about improvements and milestones that Archie and Charlie achieved. They gleam with as much pride as I do. I honestly don't know where my pups OR I would be without the help of this AMAZING Team! If I could give 10 stars out of 5 stars, I would!

Fast Forward Life happened, routines changed, and I'll admit I wasn't consistent with continuing the training as I should have been. Over time, I started to notice some old behaviors creeping back in. Reached out for some fine-tuning, and within just a few days, my pup and I are completely back on track. It's incredible how quickly Greg was able to assess what was needed and get us refocused. Not only does he train the dog -- he gives us humans tools to succeed -- which makes all the difference (if you keep up the work). If you're looking for someone who truly cares about long-term results and is there when you need a reset, or help I highly recommend Greg! We're so grateful to have our confidence back and in a good rhythm again! Jas & Truffle

We cannot thank Gregg enough for the incredible work he did with our rescue German Shepherd puppy…read more We were struggling with significant leash pulling and dog aggression, but Gregg's impact was immediate--he showed us positive progress on the very first day. We opted for a one-week Board and Train program, and the results were night and day. Gregg kept us updated throughout the week, and by the time we picked her up, her leash manners and social aggression had improved drastically. Beyond the initial issues, Gregg went the extra mile by teaching her solid foundation commands. Gregg also performed a home visit to ensure the training transitioned to our home environment and successfully moderated a meet-and-greet with our neighbor's dog--something we had unsuccessfully attempted many times before. His methods were gentle and effective. We are so grateful for his help and highly recommend him. Thank you again Grgg
