But the person who did the actual tint didn't do it up to par. I don't like causing problems but when it's about things that I'm paying for , it's serious. I did not receive quality service or the service I asked for and I provided evidence. In the Agreement for tinting it never said no refunds, and I have the receipt. When I First got the window tinted he said it looks foggy and it will clear up, I waited a couple days and it looked horrible still. I asked if I can come in to redo them or I would want my money back and then he said he can't refund but he'll try to do it again, and it's not his fault if tint doesn't come out perfect, so then I said I'll wash the car or anything to make sure we get the best results. I showed up the next day and my appointment got cancelled 3 mins before my appointment at 8 am and it was very unprofessional. I came in the next day and wasn't greeted or anything, I felt rude energy and God knows I'm a man of good and don't let people energy affect me. When my tinting was redone he didn't show me the work, he just gave me the key and told me the car was outside and basically blocked me out from checking the vehicle and saying another complaint. So this time instead of going to them I took it to Capital One because that is unfair. Now I Have to pay someone else to redo them and remove the tint they installed because It was cheap quality. They even tried to reach out personally and kept calling my phone unprofessionally when they needed to call through the company phone number. They took my phone number from signed paper work and used it and that is illegal.

There are several MAACO locations in Charlotte. I want to ensure that I'm reviewing the exact…read morelocation, so I'm going to include the address here - because this review is going to be both GOOD and BAD - MAACO, Store # M1619, 5753 N Tryon St., Charlotte NC. Let me first say that when I took them the vehicle, it had a large crack across the windshield from one end to the other. I'd decided to wait until the painting was done to replace the windshield. It is a 2006 Honda Odessey van. I received the finished painted vehicle exactly when they said I would receive it. I'd changed the color from red to blue and they did an awesome paint job! I was very pleased. When I got the vehicle back on 10/17/25, I set up an appointment with Safelight to replace the windshield. They came to replace it at my house, but the repairman asked me to come outside after he'd been there for only 10 minutes. Outside, he asked me who'd painted the vehicle and when. I told him that MAACO painted it. He then informed me that whoever painted the vehicle evidently had trouble removing the windshield molding, so they just off broke all the molding - then glued it back onto the glass after they were done painting. He told me that I would have to get new molding before Safelight could perform the windshield replacement. And because it was an older vehicle, he said that I would have to search maybe a salvage yard for what I needed. He said that he wouldn't be able to replace the windshield until he had those replacement moldings. He also said that he was sure that it had to have happened when they painted the vehicle, and he pointed out places on the paint to make his case. He assured me that the new windshield price they quoted me would stay locked in until I could get this molding. The whole time that I worked with the MAACO rep, she was saying that if I had any issues whatsoever, just bring the vehicle back and they would correct it. I called her that same day after Safelight left and explained the problem. She said that she and the manager were going into a meeting and that she would call me back the next day; she didn't do that. After 2 days I called her back. She asked me to repeat the problem (although she said, the first time I called, she was writing it all down). She promised to get back with me by the end of the day - which she did. She said the manager asked that I take pictures of the windshield and send them to the email address she gave me - which I did. That was at least six business days ago. So here's the got ya. I'm a woman and I don't know much or anything about vehicles. But I would think windshield molding from a salvage yard for a 2006 van couldn't be that expensive - maybe $200 at the most? I paid that particular MAACO location $2,597.25 to paint that van. So MAACO, what you're telling me is you can't get up off of $200? I wasn't even expecting them to put the molding on - just pay for it. I would love to have made sure they knew that but I didn't get a chance because they ghosted me. So now, I don't have any problems whatsoever putting them on blast with consumers. Consumers, the only way we're going to start getting good/better customer service is to review these businesses! And please, make sure you just go to another location if you need any vehicle painting done. Also check reviews before you do. I'm a stickler about doing that but somehow missed that step this time. Now, I'm kicking my own butt for that.
