Avata Pest Control is unethical, incompetent, and extremely unprofessional. Everything from their door-to-door sales practice, their customer service, and their in-home service is pathetic. If they knock on your door, do not even engage them. Go with another company. Our experience has been awful! We signed a contract for 12 months, and at the 12 month mark, when I tried to cancel, they said I owed them for early cancellation. There is no reason to sign a 12-month agreement, because they are not investing anything on equipment or up-front investment. Their agreement model is completely unethical. We have more pests than we did when we started with them, and had to pay another pest control to help us. Avata sent their supposed "expert" to our house to see the ant, spider, and roach problem, and he did NOTHING. He talked and talked without any effect. At the end of a 14-month ordeal with Avata, we are worse than before. Thankfully another company came to our rescue and addressed the problem. Be careful with Avata, and run the other way. I cannot express in words how awful, incompetent, and unprofessional they are. They fired their branch manager because of their terrible track record. Though we fired them in the beginning of Summer '25, they continue to knock on our door, pestering us to "sign up", we keep telling them to leave! Now they're sending ridiculously high bills CLAIMING (LYING) that we owe them over $1,151.00!!! We received this bill in September of '25! They are trying the 70/30 theory that if they continue to send bogus bills 70% of the suckers will pay it & 30% will see through their B.S.! Pest Detector came out and treated my house for a flea problem and we waited the two full weeks that they said was a flea cycle and the fleas after that 2 weeks were worse then ever!!! I called the owner Katrina and asked her to come back out because my infant son and everyone else was still getting ate alive, she refused and said I needed to wait till the 3 week Mark. Upon calling around and checking with other flea companies, I found out that her tech should have also treated my hardwood floor areas, the outside of my home and the furniture as well which her tech didn't do. I once again called her, sent emails as well and told her they didn't do what they where even supposed to and asked her to come back out she finally agreed to send over a manager to my home. Upon arriving the manager agreed that the floors should have been sprayed and couch area and they resprayed some of the other areas. It has been a over a week since that last treatment and the fleas are still biting my infant son and I contact Katrina back and her reply was she was terminating my services... She refuses a refund and She refuses to honor her Website Guarantee that saids if they don't get rid of the problem that they will retreat or refund the money and she has refused to do so at all! It must also be noted that the tech said he was using a commercial only restricted product, I found out the product is a consumer product that anyway can buy so they even fraudulently misrepresent the products they use in your home!!!
