DO YOUR RESEARCH before using these guys- sadly i trusted them based on a friends referral and now 4 years later im having new rodent issues and I'm learning i should have gotten multiple estimates. So please get MULTIPLE estimates before you decide. You want a company that will offer seals of ALL access points not just the obvious - as well as cement reinforcement behind steel seals. They didn't offer nor do cement reinforcements. They only sealed obvious access points - -* insurance approved repairs because ACS found possum feces in our attic. Legal contract from Affordable Critters 4/2014 we had extensive Work from affordable critters totaling $17,500 in repairs and now 4 years later we are told we need to spend another $3200 if we want our new critters gone do to bad roof decking as all their seals are still intact? - 1. Why wasn't our roof decking treated on original insurance claim jobs as our $30,000 (17,500 to ACS) original insurance claim when we replaced AC ducts - electrical Etc to repair roof and attic. 2. What's to say spending another $3200 on mud capping is going to be the solution he had no proof or examples older than 2.5 years of mud capping working . 3. I have multiple new estimates for around $1000 less in pricing of similar work offered to ACS mud capping owner claims he invented. Along with estimators photos of my roof showing breaches in old seals or old seals that's weren't solid. As ACS couldn't verify where roof rats entered and claimed all their seals were still 100% solid and ACS told me i NEEDED to do the mudcapping . This wasn't the case after other rodent companies provided me with all photos of my roof seals showing me seals were not all intacted and solid . ACS didn't even bother to walk my attic to verify- i had one new company spend 30 min in my attic and providing extensive photos of my attic and rodent entry points as well as rat feces etc. My roof decking wasn't the main issue as they verified multiple access points from feces trails in attic where rodents "slide in" ACS spent maybe 2- 5 min in my attic and just threw some "peanuts" to see if we had activity or not because they "weren't sure" - if ACS would have actually walked into my attic to investigate they would have seen feces and feces trails along side on house walls - I was just called by the owner and left voicemails not to leave any negative comments on my personal fb page - Running a business if you don't meet customers expectations and have solid evidence of issues - you will in fact receive negative feedback. I kindly removed my negative comments on my personal page and decided to be more professional and leave detailed reviews for it here and his business page . Sadly Affordable critter solutions never even offered any other alternative besides a vague estimate of $3200 mud capping with no listed details of number of specific holes, peaks and valleys they would in fact close up - in my opinion they should have trapped our roof rats months ago when we reported issues back in November - removed them and attempted to reseal old seals and possibly add new seals to see if this would resolve our issues before going to a $3200 quote ! I was told by 3 other roofers Affordable critter did a decent job on seals for keeping out squirrels, raccoons and possums but some of their old seals were questionable and multiple photos to prove it- also rats are a little more difficult to keep out - will i do mud capping - also known as putting cement on end caps that other companies also provide-if needed and it made sense? Yes 100% - however i will try much cheaper and easier alternative to having traps set in attic for rodent removal ASAP ~ then more seals w reinforced cement added exterior as well as old seals reinforced with cement - and maybe adding bate stations around perimeter of home to try to kill off the rat population- per 3-4 diff estimates this should hopefully fix our current issues:) But affordable critters has lost my support after the way they handled my current issues. It's a shame as we had used them in 2014 on our home and 2016 on our office. Not to mention numerous referrals - But after they way they handled our current issue - it forced me to get other company quotes to resolve our issues and i then learned how ACS is not all they claim to be - and it disappointed me. Perhaps the owner was having a bad few months and handled this situation wrong -Perhaps the owner should have personally seen our roof and attic with his own eyes before insisting a $3200 solution based on a few photos his technician took at a 10-20 min inspection. As the owner never came to inspect his old work or our situation this go round. Maybe he will learn from this experince and offer others better options moving forward /maybe he will train his technicians to be more through - my review is feedback for consumers to research and learn. read more

The owner of this company unfortunately ruins it for his employees. He is HIGHLY unprofessional, uses vulgar language and threatened my 70 year old mother in law after she asked him to repair a attic door his employees damaged. He used intimidation and yelling to get the invoice paid ASAP, after we waited months to here back from him or even receive an invoice we had to request multiple times. His staff were all kind and professional. They should find a better place to work. read more

This company has provided superior service all around. From the first call we made about animals in the attic, they were attentive to the situation. They worked sufficiently to shut every area an animal could enter our home, and provided an exit for the visitors. Unfortunately the visitors could not make it out of the house. The second we called to let them know they sent their workers out twice. The people who work for this company have been so caring and did everything they could to leave us satisfied, on Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve they had service professionals out ASAP. I had extensive rodent damage and tracking in my attic. My pest control company charged me to set traps up inside and outside my attic and home. I later investigated getting it covered by insurance. Naturally I was denied coverage citing lack of coverage for rodent damage. Through a public adjuster I obtained Dirk Newham's name and contacted him. He came out and completed a thorough examination of my attic and roof. He advised that there were also opossum tracks in my attic- something my insurance adjuster conveniently omitted in his photography and reporting. With Dirk's assistance, we re-filed my claim seeking a review with the submission of evidence of opossum tracking. The claim was paid, mainly due to Dirk's hard work. After we received the funding, Dirk's team came and professionally removed all the damaged insulation, replaced it with new insulation, and sealed all the external openings on the roof. From day one his staff was very professional and helpful in protecting clothing in our master closet where access to the attic is located. They were always mindful they were in somebody else's home and they kept me updated on every stage of the process. I was very happy the way Dirk Newham and his team conducted their business.
