Critter Jim came highly recommended to me by a relative who had used his services. He was…read moreeverything we has been told and more. He quickly responded to my online request for services and came out to do his inspection. His years of experience were quickly evident. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that that he was not only knowledgeable of this craft but also incredibly respectful of our situation. He took the necessary time to assess the situation and strategize how to safely and humanely remove what he had determined to be a raccoon that had breached our home through an exterior soffit under the roof and possibly had babies there as well all without causing addtional stress to our ailing mother who had recently arrived home from the hospital. His professionalism was also exemplified as he explained each step of the process and also by sticking to this schedule as promised as he returned on several occcasions to humanely trap what tuned out to be a young momma raccoon. He was compassionate and understanding making sure to approach the removal in a way that minimized any disruption. It was clear that he cared not just the task at hand but about the well being of our family in the middle of a health crisis as well as the wildlife involved. Thank to his expertise, he was able to safely extract the mother raccoon and later the babies without creating multiple holes in the exterior of the house, once again showcasing his respect for both our homw and the animals. I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the onset he laid out his plan and transparent pricing which is reasonable especially considering the amount of time spent to complete the job. He accepts payment once the job is completed. If you ever find yourself in need of critter removal, this the person you want on your side. Critter Jim, thank you for your exceptional service, and for helping us through a difficult time with empathy, grace and professionalism.

My wife and I moved to Umatilla about a year ago. We quickly discovered that the seller of our…read morehouse either didn't tell us or didn't know about the carpenter ant infestation in the wall of a spare bedroom. We kept seeing the little buggers (pun intended) on the walls and finding small mounds of wood dust on my computer desk. We initially tried a mail order do-it-yourself pest control subscription, which the ants laughed at. Then the colder months hit, and the ants seemed to go dormant. When the 2nd spring rolled around we decided enough was enough, and shopped around for a pest control service. We selected Benjamin's "Pest Ref", and I wish we had just swallowed our pride during year one and went with him initially. Benjamin was wonderful. He inspected our home, put my wife's mind at ease that we DIDN'T have to worry about termites (as ants and termites are mortal enemies), and recommended a plan for getting rid of our ant problem. We found his rates to be extremely reasonable, even beating out the prices of the nation-wide pest control companies. He treated the house and let us know to expect more pest visibility at first (as they were being killed/driven out). He came back out 2 weeks later for a follow-up treatment, and I haven't seen a single ant since then! Benjamin was professional, sociable, and a complete pleasure to work with. He has followed up with us via telephone to ensure that the bugs have stayed away, and they have. We plan to remain with Pest Ref for as long as we own our home, and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to give freeloading bugs the boot!
