It's ridiculously expensive at $20 per pound so I spent over $30 on taffy but it was great. The blueberry, watermelon, and peanut butter were my favorites. Blue raspberry (which is actually pink colored) was also good. I wish the pieces of taffy were a little bit bigger because they're quite small compared to the wrapping so a good amount of the $30 that I spent went toward the weight of the wax paper wrapping but the taffy is great. It's nice to have real homemade taffy and not that Taffy Town stuff that every other candy store buys when it all comes shipped from the same factory in Utah. Service was friendly. They should honestly be handing out samples of the taffy. They asked me if I wanted to try fudge which was alright but on the sweeter side but it's the taffy that was great. At first I only bought a small bag with a few pieces in it just to make sure I liked it, and I loved it. Taffy is soft and flavorful and real.

If you're in the mood for sweet candy, definitely worth stopping in. Be aware tho they are a bit pricey. Just keep that in mind. Other than the prices, its neat and well stocked. The staff was very nice and even cut the fudge in smaller pieces for me when I asked even tho theyre not supposed to.

Here's how great his place is: they made pickle fudge--yes pickle! I was skeptical, but it was amazing. Yes--pickle fudge!!! A perfect mixture of salty/sweet with a touch of dill/sour. Doesn't sound good, but it was great. If you can make good pickle fudge, you can make anything taste good. We left with several old time candies, including a Zagnut. We also took a few classic root beers and taste tested them against each other--Frosty won. Great memory for my daughter and me. Than you Sunrise Corner!

There are silk flowers and gifts and bobbles galore from tacky to elegant. It is a bit claustrophobic but it's set up so you go in one way and out the other. My friend and I just took our time and tried to take it all in, impossible . Ohh yes there is also penny candy and fudge ,though I only gave that a glance, honest. We didn't even get to the antique barn next door which was a shame because it looked really interesting also. As for the customer service, the woman that was there with us was lovely. I think she was the owner and she was engaging and very helpful. I definitely will be going back and I will be taking pictures.

We actually ended up here completely by accident. We were driving around the area when my wife, who…read morewas born in Bavaria and is very unapologetically German, spotted the name and the building and immediately decided that we needed to stop. Apparently, whatever I had planned for the afternoon was no longer relevant. I can't really argue with the decision because this turned out to be such a fun and unique place. The first thing you notice is that this isn't just an ice cream shop. There are multiple rooms filled with candy, chocolates, treats and all sorts of things that make you want to slow down and look at everything. There is a slightly retro feel to the whole place, and I mean that in the best possible way. You can very easily lose track of time wandering from room to room, looking at the candy, checking out the chocolates and trying to decide what you absolutely need to take home. Then there is the ice cream. The sundaes are fantastic because you get to build your own and load them up with whatever toppings you want. And they aren't stingy with the toppings, either. The ice cream itself was delicious, with a great selection of flavors, and the whole experience of putting together your own sundae makes it especially fun if you're with kids. Although, judging by my wife's reaction, you don't actually have to be a kid to enjoy it. They also make their own ice cream and have a wide variety of candies and chocolates made in-house. You absolutely need to try some of the "in haus" chocolates while you're there. There is something particularly satisfying about buying something that was actually made right there rather than grabbing another generic packaged candy bar. The staff were incredibly friendly and added to the experience. Everyone seemed genuinely welcoming, which is important in a place like this because you want to be able to wander around, ask questions and take your time looking at everything. Nobody made us feel rushed, and there is so much to see that rushing would almost defeat the purpose. This is a great place for the entire family. Kids are going to love the candy and ice cream, adults will appreciate the nostalgic atmosphere and the homemade treats, and honestly, everyone is going to walk out with something they didn't intend to buy. We certainly did. My wife may have had something slightly different in mind when she decided we needed to stop here, but she walked out looking like a little kid who had just been turned loose in a candy store, carrying a sundae, candies and chocolates. I wasn't exactly empty-handed myself. A really fun and unexpected find in the Lakes Region. If you're anywhere around Lake Winnipesaukee, this is absolutely worth a stop. It's charming, a little nostalgic, completely indulgent and just plain fun. I can see why people consider it one of the area's best-kept candy secrets. We'll definitely be back.

The flavor options and pricing are at the cash register and you can't really see either from afar, which makes it feel rushed when you get to that point. The pricing I think is getting pretty high for what it is. They no longer scoop the ice cream in front of you - the ice cream is around the corner. When we got to the smorgasbord, the whipped cream wasn't working/was empty. The workers didn't seem to want to fix it, and once you leave the line you can't re-enter. Pretty disappointing to not be able to get their homemade whipped cream they rave about. For almost $9 for a one scoop make-your-own before tax, it was honestly not a great experience today. We miss the nostalgia of this place - it's becoming more industrialized and less sentimental.
