This is a down-to-earth salon with a high-end vibe! Everyone makes you feel so welcomed and comfortable. It's located in a small shopping plaza and parking is ample and convenient. I had an appointment with Kelly for highlights, and Peyton handled the blow dry and bang trim. This was my second time with Kelly (first appointment several weeks ago was for a cut) and she really listens to what you want and expect. My decision to get a blow dry and trim was a last minute thought and Kelly was great about arranging it with Peyton. I'm very happy with results and recommend both Kelly and Peyton. read more

Not recommended for facials :( So many little things that did not meet my expectations. My aesthetician was not trained to drain clogged pores and who doesn't like a good pimple pop! I was not informed of this when I scheduled. Of course, I wasn't asked what I wanted when I scheduled either. The aesthetician did not begin the facial by looking at my skin!, just started to apply product. She jostled the table multiple times and did not reliably do things on both sides. She startled mee a few times with towel application and moving from one body part to another. Towels were lukewarm at best. During the shoulder massage part, she did not use the pulling technique on my neck. She did do so on my arms so I am assuming she is trained in that technique. Foot massage was perfunctory at best. She also did not apply sun screen at the end or if she did, she failed tell me. read more

Even though Covid is no longer a threat, wouldn't you think it would have highlighted the need for cleanliness? Don't you think they should use fresh, sanitized combs and brushes for each client? Nope. The owner used a comb on the person before me and used the same one for me. Later, during the appointment, the brush fell on the floor; she picked it up and resumed drying my hair. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes that is equally unclean. Cross-contamination should not be a client's concern, yet I watched it with my own eyes. And from the owner, too. Not good. This was my first time at the salon. The greeter was very professional and welcoming. My hair stylist, Melissa, was also welcoming and friendly. She started by providing me with a tour of the facility and the services provided there. That was a great idea! Everything was very clean. Melissa inquired as to the type of haircut I wanted and she did an excellent job providing me with exactly what I requested. The hair stylist didn't really do what I asked and I had to redo it. Then the makeup was overboard and I had to remove some of it. It was a big deal for me as a teenager to spend this money to get ready for homecoming and then to have it go poorly was really disappointing. read more

Well I had the worst manicure and gel polish experience here. I could have done better myself, actually I was doing them better myself. I have gel polish all over multiple cuticles (that she neglected to cut). She said they are short nail techs so I assume they just stuck me with anyone and charged $50. read more

Michael Luciano is the best! He always knows exactly what I need to bring my hair back to life again after I let it go untrimmed for 6 months. Whenever he asks me what I would like done with my hair I come up with a thought and he always has wonderful ideas to add in order to compliment my own vision. Have been a long time client of another local salon but had a gift card to use here so I had my hair cut and colored. They scheduled me with Abigail, who couldn't have been more professional and thorough. She even broke down the cost after gc value so there would be no surprises at checkout. To me, that's going above and beyond for sure. And after showing her a few pics of desired color, she still brought out a bunch of color swatches to make sure I had a realistic idea of how it would turn out, which ended up being exactly to my liking. When Renee B was there, we couldn't have been happier! Once she left Avanti to open her own salon, no one at Avanti would tell me where she moved, other than 'far away'. They scheduled my daughter with a new stylist. We paid for a full color and cut, with an emerald green streak in the bangs. When she was finished my daughters hair looked EXACTLY THE SAME as when we walked in! PLUS, the all over color must have been a temporary color because it was completely out in a few washes. It took me almost a year, but we finally found Renee at Lux in North Royalton. My daughter finally has the style and color she wants. I think it's completely unethical of Avanti to not share Renee's new location, and I will never bring my family's business there again. read more

Chose Kim from a prior review raving about her ability to cut wavy hair. So, told her I am growing out my hair and wanted to control my waves....her solution was a ten minute cut and to flat iron everything. No tips on home care..Styling......meh.....straight cut bangs, straight sides and back....bowl cut? Asked for an angled back and thinning....less than 1 min each area...so, the waves were cut creating a hump vs. working with the wave. Finally...$55! At least, Enzo Rossi posts each Stylist price online. read more

This place sucks. Came in with a friend for express pedicures together, doesn't seem like that daunting a task, especially with an appointment, right? Wrong. First they say the appointment is a half hour later, which neither of us would have made, because we have other things to do. I start calling other salons to see if they can accommodate us...and miraculously, they have our appointments at the time we actually made them. Those appointment times don't matter anyways, because they are fifteen minutes late. Then our pedicurists aren't ready at the same time, again for one appointment for the two of us. Mine is ready, but my friend's isn't. Then, hers opens up but mine is no longer ready. Which one is it, avanti? We then go back almost at similar times for our half hour appointments, now fifteen minutes late. We all do pleasantries, them I'm promptly ignored for the duration, which should be a half hour long. I may not be the chattiest person, but no one likes being ignored during something as intimate as a pedicure. Mine is completely finished at five after, leaving about ten minutes to get the foot massage included (but never happened) in the express pedicure and relax for a few. Just kidding, apparently. The receptionist comes back and tells me to relax elsewhere and they need my chair for the next appointment. No asking, no please, just get up and leave before your friend is done because we need your seat. This place is trash, expensive trash, but trash nonetheless. There are better nail salons all over the place that would be happy to earn your money. read more

I have been going to Avanti's for over 10 years. I don't have one set beautician I go to and have NEVER been disappointed....I pretty much have gone to all of them. This salon is always consistent and always makes their clients feel welcomed. There prices might be a little higher than your average salon but you get what you pay for. I get more compliments on my hair and refer many, who are extremely happy with their results. You can't go wrong when scheduling an appointment for any of their services! read more

I was a loyal customer with the same stylist for five years, but the quality of my haircuts was decreasing. Twice I had to go back to have styles corrected. On my final visit my hairdresser rambled on about how her new scissors were shipping the next day and how her old scissors (the pair in her hand cutting my hair) just weren't working well. That was it. The prices are high, but you are paying for an "aveda" salon, not necessarily a better style. And, after five years and several hundred dollars in tips, I didn't receive any follow up to lure me back. I've since found a more reasonable salon with less attitude. read more

Whatever you do, don't let them schedule you for 3pm or later. They told me to come in at 3 even after I asked if that was enough time (they assured me yes), but they were closing at 4 or 4:30 so everything became very rushed, with an undertone of stress and short changing on both the services I paid (and then stupidly tipped well) for. Plus the haircut gave me a sort of mullet instead of the bob I requested. But again, no time to fix it - or even do the styling we agreed upon beforehand - as staff wanted to go and I was the last customer in the place. I replied to an email ad the owner sent me asking why they scheduled me so late and how I felt short-changed on services, but they didn't have the courtesy or customer service ethic enough to answer me. "Luckily" I was going out of town so I went to a salon in that city a few days later and a STUDENT cut my hair for free better than the seasoned stylist I had. Even if you get the time, not sure they're up to date with styles or care about people who aren't their long-time locals. Also, since the manicurist wanted to leave to "bake cookies" my nails are all lopsided and not very prettily manicured. read more
