This place is the pits . You pay way too much not to have a doorman or any sort of security especially at night where high school kids run the halls in gangs . I have now lived in Avalon for almost a year, and one major concern I have is the safety issue. Without a front desk or on-site management, the presence of strangers often makes me feel uneasy. At night, the resident halls often turn into gathering spots for teenagers who hold loud parties. They run through the hallways, shout, and sometimes lie down in the corridors. On one occasion, I opened my front door to leave and was shocked to find three teenagers lying right outside in the hallway. Another time, someone attempted to open my front door, which made me feel extremely threatened. When I politely asked them to keep the noise down and explained that someone had tried to open my door, I was met with loud cursing and disrespectful behavior from the teenagers. Now, I lock my door even when stepping out briefly to take out the trash or collect mail. The lack of safety and security in this building is a constant worry for me. read more

This is possibly the worst management I have ever encountered. They do not feel as though they owe the community anything and are not willing to help out. No problem is a concern of theirs, even if it is a community concern. Aaron Barker, the community manager, is avoidant and is not good at handling the public. The maintenance team is both violent and harasses the renters when we are trying to get answers. They are aggressive because they know they are in the wrong and have no logical answers to the communities concerns. For example the power has gone out, over the course of 2 years, 15+ times. For the employees here to not look into why, or just simply enough buy a generator is beyond me. They hate being called on their BS and enjoy getting paid to do absolutely nothing besides sit on their computers and play tetris all day. It must be nice to be an Avalon employee and shows how this corporation as a whole cares about the service they provide. Overall this building is not one I would recommend and you should be turning your attention to the other great selections in the area. read more

Do not move here! Please don't make the mistake we did. The only thing positive about this place is that the maintenance staff are wonderful people. The main issue is they have an insanely loud fire alarm system that goes off randomly multiple times a month. Sometimes multiple times a day. When I say insanely loud, I don't think I can put into words exactly what this noise is. Think, putting your ear on a large speaker and blasting the volume as loud as you can, then multiply that with the highest pitch siren you can fathom. I've lived in many places and never heard an alarm like this. It almost feels as if they are trying to damage our hearing intentionally. When I've inquired about why this broken alarm system must use a noise like this, I've been told it's "code". I'm pretty sure that's not true unless the town of Edgewater has a building policy to turn all residents deaf. When this alarm habitually goes off, you are forced to evacuate. It's particularly enjoyable when it happens at 4am. We have a toddler, an infant and a dog. The frantic panic and crying that ensues when everyone is woken out of a dead sleep to stand outside the building until the fire department arrives is something I'll never forget when I'm finally long gone from this hell hole. There are so many other nice buildings with amenities to live in, please don't waste your time, money and sanity by moving here. read more

What Terrible Place to be , what a horrible staff that could not be less helpful . Building is new and DIRTY, hallways are never vacuumed, aleady the building appears to have 10 years of wear after 5 months, Dod feces is everywhere fro sidewalk to the elevator ( yes the elevator) . This is not a place to be and the google reviews are all fake reviews written by staff, its very easy to see being none of the reviewers have more than 1 review and the google account was usually opened the day the review was left. These bozos actually think they are smarter than the gainfully employed tenants who were too busy living in the real world that they allowed themselves to be tricked , bait and switched and other fraudulent and racist practices that are not worth mentioning it would make these girls too proud. read more

We moved to the Avalon at Edgewater during the height of the pandemic and the experience over here has been exceptional.  The team at the property is beyond excellent (John Baluyut, Customer Service Manager; the sales team (Sandro, Michelle and Christina); and the maintenance team of Dave and the rest of the guys is off the charts terrific!! Every apartment rental has some positives and negatives - but the positives at the Avalon at Edgewater far outweigh any negatives.  This is a real community and the residents are a great group of people that get along really well.  The gym is top notch, and it does not hurt that the property includes free parking!  With Trader Joe's literally across the street and all of the stores and amenities of Edgewater, you cannot go wrong with this selection. The commute into Manhattan, by bus, is super easy and fast.  By car, the property is equidistant between the George Washington Bridge and the Lincoln Tunnel.  We are relocating for work reasons to another Avalon property, and the Avalon team (at both this property and the new one) has made the transfer totally seamless.  You will not regret the decision to become a part of the Avalon at Edgewater community!! My family and I have been living in Avalon Edgewater building for 3 years. It has good amenities and convenient location if you commute to the city. Management and maintenance teams seem nice and responsive.  Unfortunately, I don't believe the construction of the walls was well thought though. There must be no insulation between walls/ceiling/floors. This means that if you have loud and inconsiderate neighbors your life will be hell. There will be no escape from noise, no matter what day or time it is. This is the problem with the neighbors above us. Never a quiet day. The running / jumping / bouncing the ball / stomping / furniture dragging starts early in the morning and continues the whole day. I've been complaining about this issue for the whole year, made numerous audio recordings and forwarded them to Avalon legal team. Nothing has changed!!!!!! The management claims that they reached out to the neighbors and asked them to be mindful but the situation hasn't improved!!!!! We were offered to move to a MORE expensive unit, which we absolutely can't afford! Keep in mind that Avalon raises prices on their units yearly (in the middle of pandemic!!!).  Between poor construction, constant false fire alarm drills in the middle of the day and night, inflated prices I would not recommend this building. read more

I've lived at Avalon for 7 months and I only have good things to say about it. Everyone is friendly and just minds their own business. Lots of families with small children make it a friendly atmosphere. The amenities are pretty great, with gas BBQs, swimming pools, brand new gym with amazing equipment, spin room, dog park, and indoor parking. Any issue with the apartment can be reported online and is dealt with in a matter of a day or two by super friendly staff, Kevin and Dave. In fact, I recall when I was first moving in, I was carrying a huge dresser all by myself, and Dave saw me and actually offered to help me carry it down a long hallway. Wow! If you take public transport, the 188 and 158 buses are right outside, and Trader Joe's is right across the street, along with other stores in the mall. Then another huge mall is further down the street, with Target, Acme, Marshalls, Bed Bath Beyond, Office Depot, Daiso, and a ton more stores. So super convenient. You are a 10 min drive from George Washington bridge, and 15 min drive from Lincoln Tunnel. Any kind of comment or complaint is always swiftly dealt with professionally. Regular maintenance is communicated to us in advance, like cleaning of communal carpets, dog park cleaning, or telecommunications maintenance with wiring, etc. Personally, I spoke with John Baluyut about a specific question I had, and he immediately helped me remedy the problem. John was attentive, professional, understanding, and went above and beyond to help me with my needs. I called their office to schedule an appointment 3 days before only to show up and find out nobody is there. The maintenance guy I spoke to said they took the day off... Their dependability and communications skills are amazing! 5 stars! Let this sink in a little bit... I have lived here coming up in 4 years. I've read the other Yelp reviews and most are true. Maintenance people are great. Office staff clueless. Quiet hours are a joke. I live facing the courtyard and the noise can be intense after 10. My lease is up and my rent increase is $700.00 when my same apartment is on the website for $300 less. I really have tried to accept this place and it's challenges however.... Horrendous management at this Avalon. Sure they 'listen' like they have been trained to do in some corporate training session somewhere but they really could care less. Among the constant problems: the garbage room is overflowing with garbage and it stinks (this seems to happen at least once a month and if I could post a photo you wouldn't believe it). The gates are ALWAYS broken (main gate is broken as I write this), the fire alarm goes off all the time. There is a lot more but it doesn't matter, Avalon doesn't care and I just want to make sure I warn people about this place! I now know why locals always give me a sympathetic look when I tell them we live at the Avalon. They know how bad this place is and cannot understand why anyone would live here. I am counting the days until my lease is up so we can move to a decent building in the area. Seriously, what a joke. If they spent half as much energy on maintaining the place and really trying to improve things they would not have to try so hard to bring in new tenants. read more

Recently visited this apartment and had a horrible experience. First of all I was interested in a one bedroom apartment which I made very clear on the phone. They showed me a TWO bedroom apartment to show me the "appliances," which didn't give me a good feel of how the one bedroom would look at all. Also online and over the phone I was told there are one bedrooms available for $2250. When I got there the leasing agent told me the lowest is $2500 and NONE were even available. Lastly, nobody gave me a tour nor instructions. Basically the lady said read your email and go look at it yourself. Office staff was not helpful at all. Overall bad experience, wouldn't live there solely based on how I was treated upon first visit. read more

I moved in November of 2013 and I LOVE IT. I'm shaking my head at all the negative comments on this site, but I know everyone's situation is different. However, I think it might be helpful to point out the following...You should NEVER sign a lease without first seeing the apartment you are moving in to. Even if you have an urgent need to move. If you moved in to an apartment without first seeing it, it is your fault, not Avalon. Even if Avalon didn't have your exact apartment ready to see, you could have seen another similar model. If you didn't ask the right questions, this is also not Avalon's fault. Now, on to my review...The management team is simply wonderful! They have kept in contact, and I sometimes drop by and say hello and they are always welcoming, caring and helpful. They honestly do want to RETAIN tenants and they appreciate us and want us to have a good living experience. I can't say enough good things about them. Ditto on the security/mail room people. The service company that handles apartment service complaints are FABULOUS! They come either the day of the service request or the day after. Better service I have never seen anywhere. I have a 2BR and the place is great. The price is high, but it is great value. Some small negatives, but they would never keep me from living at Avalon...the dog rental fee per month is a bit high so I don't love that. The one time, non-refundable pet fee, I totally understand. Dogs do damage whether the dog owner cares to admit it or not. It only takes one accident of pee on a carpet and no matter how well you clean it, the carpet is done. So there is your $500, right to carpet replacement. I don't like that people do not clean up after their pets, even though there are doggy bag/waste bucket stations along the sidewalk on Russel Avenue. It is utterly ridiculous that people don't pick up their poop, and this is a big peeve I have. Again though, this is not Avalon's fault, it is the people that have dogs, whether they live at Avalon or outside of the community. Lastly, the kitchens are somewhat outdated, and no microwave was kind of shocking to me. However, guess what, they don't need to update kitchens, at a great expense, so they aren't going to do it. Good for them I say if they can get away with it. I mean the kitchens aren't terrible. I'm just used to nice granite...LOL. That's all I have. I love Avalon...love it love it love it. read more

We think the management is good, and the staff working here are great. So is the maintenance staff. We've put in multiple maintenance requests, but they've been super responsive with everything. And they do it for free, of course. The location is impeccable. It's across from Trader Joe's, a few minute's walks from Whole Foods or Mitsuwa, and there's a bus stop just at the corner of the street it's on. Yes, it's probably made of cheap construction material, and there's always gonna be that slight worry that another fire might go off, but I think they've put in maximum effort since the fire last year, in terms of safety and in terms of service. The only downside is that they've not done anything with the building that got destroyed from the fire yet, and we'd love to be able to jump into a pool on a hot summer's day, hopefully some time in the near future. Also, the gym got burned down as well, and they've build a new one in a small room, but it's very limited. They could be a little better communicating what they are going to do about the wrecked building, and amenities as well, going into the future. read more

I am a former (dissatisfied) tenant and I watched this fire unfold from the Trader Joe's shopping center across the street. I always knew this building was cheaply constructed, but to see it go up in flames so quickly was still alarming. When I lived there, we had fire alarms go off at least three times a week. It got to the point where I wouldn't even leave my apartment because I knew it would be a false alarm. Unfortunately, that should never be the case. I'm also not sure what the sprinklers were installed for if they didn't even work properly to contain the fire. All in all, I know a lawsuit will be coming for the Avalon and I have zero sympathy. The management team was good at recruiting new residents, but unfortunately, nothing was ever put back into the building to improve it's quality. read more

I moved in in February 2013 and so far my experience has been very good. The move-in was very easy since the apartment complex has wide open spaces and large doorways. Management provides a checklist of things to do prior to moving in which made is easy as well. In th efirst couple of weeks, I made a couple of requests for repairs to the apartment through the website and they were taken care of immediately. It is easy to find a parking space in the garage which is indoors which is nice. Packages are also easy to get since they are open until 7pm on weekdays. There are a couple of negatives that I would point out. First, the garbage area can be disgusting because some people do not use the chute and just dump their trash in the room. Second, although I do not have any problems with my neighbor's noise, I can see how the walls here are fairly thin and that if you happen to live near loud neighbors, it could be a problem. Third, I do not have kids or pets so I can not comment on how restrictive policies are but I would say that these policies probably help keep the place clean. As for management, I do not agree with all the negative comments posted here about management. In fact, I have lived in 5 different apartments and would consider this management to be fairly good. This is one of the worst managed apartment complex I've ever lived in. I'm currently in my 8th month of my lease and I'm counting down the days till my lease is over. From the outside it looks great but once you move in, the problems you run into are countless. Management is run by a third party so when you call with an emergency, they just take your message. God forbid it's a holiday weekend, your message won't reach management until the holiday vacation is over. Hate the sound of industrial fire alarms? Definitely do not move in, as for some reason, when they built the complex, they made it so that if a fire alarm goes off in one apartment, the fire alarm for the whole building is activated. You get the standard fire alarm plus the big red industrial fire alarm in your apartment. I personally would not have a problem with this but it becomes a problem when the alarm for the whole complex goes off an average of every 10 days. You have crazy loud ringing for at least 30 minutes each time until the fire chief comes to deactivate it. It happens so often that none of my neighbors budge or even come out whenever this happens! Exceptional facilities, great finishes, wonderful helpful staff... all in all, fantastic. Every aspect of the experience here has been great. The communication, the attention to detail, the assistance when needed, all commendable. Dylan and Michael made sure our needs were known and met prior, during, and after. The staff makes sure the facilities are kept up wonderfully... the common areas are great... the dog park is clean and inviting... the WAG salon is up to snuff... the pool (sadly closed until spring) is clean and inviting... everything is great. And the location can't be beat. 30 minutes to midtown... and a five minute walk to Trader Joes, 10 minutes walk to Whole Foods... Target and Banana and so much more a mile away... and the incredible mecca of retail in Paramus is just 20 minutes from here. Location - great. Staff - fantastic. Apartments - fit and finish, quiet, attention to detail, all first rate. Highly recommended. read more

We moved into the Avalon in August of 2011 and never looked back. We spent months looking for the perfect place that would fit our lifestyle and we were definitely very particular. After meeting with Pablo at the leasing office, not only did he answer all our questions, but he put any worry we had at ease. The statement for the Avalon used to be "time well spent" and they've lived up to that at every step. Everyone that works here is incredibly kind and empathetic to any issue you may have. So much so that I would gladly hire any of them to come work for our company. They are constantly taking care of the community whether it's upgrades or just simple cleaning. I've read the other reviews and couldn't find it further from the truth. Although there was a recent management change, it has since changed back and even throughout that time, I have never experienced anything close to what these bad reviews are saying. If you never really want to worry about your apt, Avalon is the perfect home. read more

Staff will tell you there is a buy out option but your terms will vary depending on what month of the year you give notice (just found that out recently). We've only been here a few months and had to have our apartment serviced three times for an unclean apartment, broken air conditioner and broken water heater. So we perhaps might be the oldest residents at Avalon at Edgewater. We moved here in 2006. Since then, Avalon has been a home to us and their staff like a family. They are very warm, kind and ready to hear you out at any time. Their maintenance team is very efficient under a hands-on maintenance manager. They attend to all maintenance requests very promptly and work is done in an efficient professional manner. Facilities like the gym, indoor pool table cum TV room, community room are some of the places you can hang out in winter and our favorite swimming pool and beautifully kept courtyards with bbq facility are our favorite spots during summer. Yes, sometimes the main gate has issues, but they try their best to rectify that. Overall a great place to live!! If you have young children its right next to a great elementary school and minutes away from major shopping mall (Edgewater Commons). It's a very convenient location if you are working in the city. There is an option of ferry or the bus. The bus stop for going in the city is just down the road from Avalon thus making it very convenient for travel in all seasons. I love my Avalon. If we ever move, I'll be moving with a very heavy heart to lose all these facilities and their staff which is like an extended family to us. We will always wish good for Avalon and encourage our friends to come and try living here and checking it out themselves. read more

I'm not even sure where to start. Firstly, don't move here! We moved in in mid-August 2012, and we are already counting the days until our lease is up. I'll start with the move in process. The people of Avalon refused to allow us to see the room we were interested in before we signed the lease. Perhaps they knew we were in a tough spot and had a deadline to get in somewhere (my husband's company would only put us up in a hotel for 2 weeks after the transfer, so we had to find a place & move in within that time), I'm not sure, but they wouldn't let us even look at the room before our move in day. This naturally put us off, but feeling an urgency to get into a place, we had to deal with it. There was definitely a feeling that Avalon took advantage of this urgency. Lets move on to the actual room. It feels dated as there is only carpet in all rooms (except kitchen and bath), and the carpet is VERY worn. My Father is a carpenter and he was taken aback when he visited us and saw the very worn out, old carpeting. The painting is awful. There are globs of dried paint in some areas, where the painter let it run, and did not blend it in smoothly. The windows are of exceptionally poor quality. Our 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are fairly small with relatively large windows, and they are like absolute ice boxes. Since its gotten cold, my son has had to sleep in our bedroom with us every night. If there's a cold breeze outside, and you put your hands up to the window, you can feel cold air flowing freely, completely unhindered through these cheap windows. The walls and floors are very thin. You can hear everyone, and they can hear you. People from New Jersey aren't the most tolerant group, and the people of Avalon are no different. You can hardly walk too quickly, the guy downstairs will yell at you, and forget if you have children. I repeat, if you have young children, DO NOT move here. People in this building hate kids, and will complain about them if they can hear them for a second. Moving on, we have lived here for 3 months, and for about two of those months, half of the entrance and exit gates at Avalon have not worked. Although they will deny it, keep in mind Avalon sells security. That's the entire purpose of these gates, to make you feel safe and secure. To tell you that some random psycho can't just stroll onto the premises and enter the building. Well, that's completely abolished when the security gates are hanging wide open, broken, for months on end. When I mentioned something to the head manager about it, she did a lot of talking without really saying anything at all. She is just a puppet for the corporation, though. The elevator near our room was broken for several weeks while the corporation waited the lowest bidder, leaving us who live on the top floor to haul our groceries up the stairs, or take the far elevator, as there really are not enough elevators for such a large, densely populated building. Another pain here is that there are a lot of rules. You can't really have anything. No Christmas lights allowed, no bicycles in your room, no outdoor grills, no washing your clothes in the wash machine after 10PM, etc. This place is just not worth the money it costs. The rent is very high, and you most certainly don't get anything impressive for your money. They will sweet talk you all day to sign that lease, but don't do it. It's truly not worth it. We absolutely hate living here, and cannot wait to get out. read more

We have been living in this community for about 2 1/2 years and can honestly say we have had the WORST experience in the past year or so. The first year we lived here we really had no complaints aside from the occasional elevator breaking down or the front gates not working for a few days. HOWEVER, the past year and a half have been BRUTAL. Management was changed and the new "Customer Service Manager" doesn't give a CRAP about tenants - only the new people who are looking to rent in the community. We have had mold in our apartment, leaky ceilings, broken furnaces, broken A/C Unit, etc. etc. and have had to fight tooth and nail to get these problems fixed. After our first year and a half of living there, we asked if we could have our walls touched up with paint and our carpets cleaned and we were told we would have to move to another unit if we wanted those things done which is RIDICULOUS. If we were to move out they would have to do those things so what is the difference? In terms of the community, you have to pay a $500 non refundable pet deposit upon move in PER PET. And that is not all, each month you pay $50 per pet but you are not even allowed to walk them within the community, they have to be walked along the back and side roads and are not allowed anywhere else. What are we paying this monthly fee for if we cannot even walk our dogs in the courtyard and let them run and play? The actual breezeways/entryways, elevators and hallways are a joke. The carpets are never cleaned in the hallways and are always stained and dirty. Elevator floors and walls are never cleaned - in fact they just put big black rugs in the elevators and left them there now for over two months without any type of cleaning. BRILLIANT. The pictures they tried to hang near each elevator bay are all in terrible shape, half have fallen down and were never put back up. The trash rooms are rarely cleaned and if you do decide to pay $100 a month to park in the parking garages, get ready to stare at everyone else's trash and to have to drive over it at times because they let it overflow so badly. The entry gates and parking garage gates are constantly broken and when they are working, dont be surprised if Avalon puts a large trash dumpster in front of them because they are too lazy to schedule regular trash pickups. I will say however, that the fitness center and the offices inside the Russel building are always spotless and pristine. Hmmm.. I wonder why that is? If you don't have any other options even then i wouldn't recommend this place. Our AC dint work for 6 months(no exaggeration) and we were not provided option to move to another apartment. instead just got one temporary AC in a 2 bedroom apartment(after a couple of weeks we did get a second one after the staff visited the place and experienced the hot furnace that was our apartment personally) and with our newborn this was extremely difficult. Manager was extremely rude and I think borderline Racist(In general technicians, Maintenance and Service staff have always been helpful and cooperative, its only the interactions with the Manager, post the A/C issue which made me form this perception, where we got a sense that we were not welcome and made us feel as if we were staying here for last 2 years without paying rent). Apartment pricing is also inconsistent where we were paying more for our 2 bedroom than our friends for a 3 bedroom. read more

I just moved in this past weekend and I'm ready to move out. My unit was not cleaned, the windows were swimming in dust, the carpet had not been vacuumed and there are stains on the bathroom sinks which I have been unable to remove even after spending my entire weekend cleaning them. Additionally, as I was hanging my clothes one of the cosset shelves came right of the wall and it has yet to be fixed. There are other things that's need to be fixed within the unit and maintenance is nowhere to be seen. Outside of my unit, the elevators are disgusting, and if you take the stairs be prepared because there are dead flies on each window, the railings and stairs are absolutely disgusting, the garbage cans are filled to the top with a number of bugs flying around them. First off, I've lived at other Avalon communities and they are fantastic, it's only this one in Edgewater that is so terrible. We moved here almost a year ago and wanted to stay within the Avalon community, but this one has ruined me from ever living in another 'community' again. (Note: If you are a single occupancy with NO DOGS then this complex might work for you). If you have any pets, this is NOT the place to live. You have to pay a non-refundable $500 pet deposit AND extra $50 per dog each month as 'pet rent'. When we first signed the lease, they told us that you can walk your dog anywhere as long as you pick up after them (obviously). Once you move in, they immediately backtrack and tell you that your dog is only allowed in the drive way area and now they tell us that we are no longer allowed anywhere within the community and we are told to walk on the street or we will be fined! Yet they still make us pay 'pet rent' and the deposit for animals that are not allowed on the premises. This place is completely corrupt and the head manager that makes these decisions is completely robotic! This is not a pet friendly community, please don't move here if you have even a small dog. So happy we're almost out of here! read more

I moved into a one bdrm apt in March 2011 and recently left in June 2013. The first year of living there was fine as I am a very tolerable person. I understand that living in a rental community you will hear babies crying, dogs barking, couples arguing, etc. I always paid my rent and community fees in a timely manner. Fast forward to February 2013. My husband and I purchase a Maltese puppy (8 weeks old). I alert the community office and without haste, the pet rental fee is added on immediately (which is fine we knew of this beforehand). Due to a neighbor's complaints that the puppy would bark from time to time (imagine that) we were pretty much "forced" to move out. Our neighbor had the audacity to bang on our door and walls whenever she heard a noise past 8 pm. I alerted the office and asked for something in writing stating that they had spoken to this tenant (keep in mind she was new to the community I had been paying rent for several years). They never provided me with any written confimation and I had to get a lawyer involved. Upon giving notice (the apt was promptly rented) they took our entire security deposit and a collections agency has been calling non stop to obtain (wait for it) the PET DEPOSIT fee. This is the whole reason we moved. We were being threaetened and harrasssed by a lunatic neighbor and they have the nerve to try and collect a fee (keep in mind we lived there with the puppy for only 2 months). I am so diappointed in the way they do business. Not to mention the cleanliness factor of the complex went way down in the years I had resided there. The "dog park" area it is littered with cigarettes from the chain smokers who are outside at all hours, its filthy and the garbage room is a mess. Definitely not worth the $$, you could hold a morgtage for what they charge. read more

The best thing about Avalon is it's location. We're going on two years in a row that New Jersey has been slammed with unexpected storms and flooding. Unfortunately, the area that's taken the grunt of this damage is what I consider to be the crown jewel of the North Hudson: Edgewater. There are plenty of top-class resort-quality condominium complexes along River Rd, and not to take anything away from those complexes, but what good are all of those bells and whistles when the first floor of your building is underwater? God forbid. I say all this just to highlight the fact that rather than giving up your waterfront dreams altogether, we have this great Avalon Community which is pretty much on the top of a steep hill. It was nearly completely unscaved by both Hurricane Irene and the recent Sandy, with the exception of a few panels which were quickly replaced. Aside from that, the elevation gives apartments like mines unparalled NYC views! I have a loft tricked out as a home theater, a huge bedroom, a great living room with a mounted flatscreen above my fireplace and honestly... I couldn't be happier. There's some kind of flame-campaign going on with some sloppy ex-tenants who somehow made a hell for themselves out of the heaven that is Avalon Edgewater but who can blame them? Some people just don't live in the flow, and it SHOWS! Anyways, the place is quiet but I wouldn't recommend doing laundry at midnight like a jerk or you might get a noise complaint *I'd probably be the one to call it in* ...the gym is sweet, 24 hours and always clean. My bedroom is so big I even have an infared sauna in there so yea, I'm happy. The place is awesome. If you find a better place in edgewater go on a take it.. but if we have another storm, come on up to avalon for some electricity, hot-water, and serenity. read more
