They are coffee roasters so everything you can get at the little walk-up coffee window is brewed from their own roasts, and OMG SO GOOD! I refilled my "white girl energy" with a pumpkin spice latte that was rich and creamy and had actual pumpkin flavor on top of their smooth coffee. My partner got a mocha and absolutely loved it! We were both so impressed by our first sips that we asked about the bags of whole bean coffee they sell and the woman behind the counter came out to talk to us about each of the roasts and even gave us free tastings of the ones they had brewed. I'm not a coffee expert at all, but I do know when black coffee tastes good enough on its own that I'm not reaching for cream and sugar like I usually am. We grabbed a bag of Peru San Ignacio and Papua New Guinea, and I'm so excited to brew it at home and I will DEFINITELY be back on our next trip into the city for errands. They're a family run business and they've been here for 10 years so I know we'll be able to frequent them for years to come and I hope you do too!

The place is quite unique. It's like walking into someone's home. The business is not inside the actual commercial area but more in a neighborhood just a block or two where the actual commercial businesses are located in old town Beaverton. Just before you walk in, there were photos of dogs waiting to be adopted which set the tone. When we walked in, the entire place was adorned with photos, drawings, anything and everything dog related. There were even some folks who brought their dogs with them (now you get the theme). To the left was the owner/barista who took your drinks and any sandwich orders. I decided to get blended mocha and a Deluxe Bagel sandwich with sausage. Man what a delicious bagel sandwich. It took a little while to make but for good reason. I had the Asiago cheese put on. The bagels were wrapped in sandwich paper and served on a platter. As for the mocha- perfect flavor. Not too sweet, not too chocolatey- the flavor was spot-on. Very impressive. The place really felt homely and you are literally inside someone's house which felt warm and inviting. I can't wait to visit here again. The parking lot front of their business can probably hold about 6-8 cars and there's a sushi restaurant a few suites down including another business about to open soon (associated to sushi but forgot what food they'll be selling). This shop should not even be considered a bagel shop. Just a coffee shop that sells bagels baked by some contract Baker. I was too happy with my home smoked salmon that I didn't want to ruin my day by giving them the real NYC bagel experience by taking the remnants of my 20 buck dozen and throwing them back at them physically one by one yelling "shame shame shame " at them. It would have been fun to do. Staff seemed nice but they still deserve to have the awful bagels thrown at them just for the art of it.

So I navigated there and was a bit confused by the store location. The coffee shop is situated in a industrial business park, though I quickly figured out that they had storefronts too. I found the spot and walked in. I was greeted by Carey, who introduced herself as the owner of Roasted By Mom Coffee. That's when I learned that this space had 3 independent coffee roasters who share the same equipment and store to sell to customers. And the day I went, Carey was there to serve her coffee beans. So I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte and a black coffee. She didn't have any drip coffee readily available, but she went out of her way to get fresh beans she allowed me to choose to grind and brew a fresh cup for me. Wonderful customer service! I didn't have to wait long for my drinks to be finished. P2 said she enjoyed hers and I thought mine wasn't too bad. The beans I chose, Mom Goes Nutty, has hints of peanut butter, which I could taste in my cup. It was a different experience for sure. When I arrived, I was a little underwhelmed. The interior is pretty simplistic, but very clean. I was a little hungry and looked in the glass case. Very meager offerings, nothing vegan. I asked if the chai latte could be made vegan, and he assured me that it could be, so that's what I ordered with oat milk. I asked if there were any vegan food, he said they do carry some items but were all sold out. My order was brought out to where I was sitting. The chai latte was very delicious.
