I love Ava! However, there is one girl who does terrible manicure's. If you go in request May or Ana, they both do a great job!

I have been looking for a new nail salon for months, since this is local I thought I would try it out and I am regret that decision. When I arrived I was serviced right away and thought that was a good sign, when she began to do my nails she was very chatty which was refreshing. As she started doing my gel fill she started to compare the work I had previously received to the "excellent" and "perfect" work she was going to provide. It had been 4 weeks since my last fill so there was a small amount of lifting, she assured me that she was going to correct that and she even claimed that with their fills my nails would last 3 weeks with no lifting. When it came to paint my nails I wanted to use 2 colors (every other nail 1 color and the others a 2nd color.) they wanted to charge me an additional $5 to use that one extra color! It was not gel polish either, I have been getting my nails done for 22 years and have never been charged for using more than 1 polish! I did want nail art which I was expecting an extra cost. I wanted polka dots on 8 nails and then a holiday design on the other 2. I was charged $10 for the polka dots and an extra $5 for the 2 holiday nails (which my 10 year old niece could have done it was so poorly executed) I could not believe I was being charged so much! When I asked why every little request has an additional charge I was told "I'm spending a lot of time with you working on your nails, if the design was a quick one then I wouldn't have to charge as much" HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DO POLKA DOTS?!?! NOT VERY LONG! It has been 8 days since I was there and I've lost 3 nails that started off with lifting and got to the point of cracking and coming off. I went back to the salon today to see if they would repair the nails and I was told they would BUT IT WOULD COST ME! How is that standing by your work? How to you stand by your nails for 3 weeks but after 8 days you want to charge me for the bad work?! I AM HIGHLY DISSATISFIED AND WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS SALON! I would suggest if you are looking for a new salon DO NOT GO HERE! If this is how they treated me knowing I was a new customer looking for a new salon then how would they treat you?! I cannot believe I had this experience. So upsetting.... read more

Ava Nails - 8 days since I had a gel fill and the salon won't stand by their work.... Such a shame! I was told they would last 3 weeks and they didn't!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Nashua, New Hampshire

TERRIBLE! I've been here a total of three times. I initially came here because the prices seemed cheaper than everywhere else I had tried. Each time I have gone I went to get a full set put on. Other places I have been have you clean your hands multiple times and they only had me wash them once. The most recent time I went three of my fingers were bleeding. When putting the actual acrylic on the guy missed many spots so my nails are already falling off. All of my nails are different lengths and most of them are slanted at the top, not straight across. I chose white nail polish and the guy doing my nails told me this is a horrible color to use. He proceeded to put it on and smudged it everywhere. I sat at the drier and when I got into my car I looked at my nails and they were dented. When I got home I had to take off the polish and put on new polish. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

This was my first time to Ava Nails. I called ahead at 1:15pm on a Friday to check if they were busy and they told me to come down. I was there within 10 minutes and they took me immediately. I only got a pedicure. It was not really busy but there were probably 4-5 other customers and there were about 5 techs. I arrived around 1:25 and did not leave until 2:10. I had an older gentleman who was very nice. The service was good, compared to other salons it was about the same though the amount of time he spent "massaging" my lower legs was well beyond service I have ever received. He spent no less than 8 minutes on each leg. Usually the service I receive is a quick rub of lotion on my legs that last no longer than 2 minutes. He did nick one of my toes but it was very minor. It started to get busy about 2pm and he did not even rush the job when other customers were coming in. They were honest with the new customers coming in, telling one at least 15 minutes and another one over an hour. I did notice near the end of the pedicure and while drying my nails that one woman who had an appointment after it got busy was not taken immediately, she was there for at least 10 minutes. They took 2 teenagers before they took her and I do not know if they had an appointment at that time so can't say what happened. The salon looks clean and isn't cramped except there is only a very small area for customer seating and the drying "table". I'd definitely go back and probably go during the day to avoid the crowd. read more

Hands Down the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon! I just left the Salon very upset with the worst pedicure ever! It is my birthday and my daughter wanted to take me out for a pedicure and while we were there I decided to get my brows touched up. When I walked in the staff started arguing and a male barked at us to pick out a color. We were here to relax and new to town looking for a new salon. During our pedicure we were not asked what we wanted and in fact the staff did not speak to us at all. No smile and that is ok but it felt so uncomfortable I almost walked out. When I asked for a menu of different type of services-my tech huffed at me. So, apparently he was not in the mood to work. His loss because we are big tippers. My tech was so annoyed that I asked for flowers on my toes that he made a scene and dropped his equipment. I was very calm to this point and said I had enough and forget it. We cashed out and left!!! Rude! Horrible Service! If you want to pay someone to be rude and disrespectful to you than go here! read more

I went on December 23rd for a shellac manicure and pedicure. Like the other reviewer from the same day said, it was really crowded. I picked my colors and sat to soak my feet while the nail technician finished the person ahead of me. The women that did my feet was nice enough but I was really unimpressed and uncomfortable with how the person seated next to me getting a spa pedicure was treated. Her feet were in rough shape but thats why she was in getting a pedicure, right?! The unprofessional way the person doing my feet and another person were making comments and faces about this women's feet was shocking. I will never, ever return to Ava nails. This behavior, the way they push your to pay with cash and the shaming for having short nails made an hour of my day that is supposed to be relaxing, terrible. Mimosa Nails in down town is wonderful, clean and the owners are wonderful and kind people. Go there instead of Ava Nails. read more

I have been a loyal customer to Ava nail since they opened in 2011, and have gone regularly since they opened. In the past 2 months I have had the worst service in my ENTIRE life. I had waited more than 20 minutes even though I made an appointment, and then when I was finally sitting down getting my nails done had the technician get up and walk away for lunch while I'm sitting there with half my nails done! The technician whose name was Truong then did not listen to how I wanted my acrylics filled ! I wanted rounded he did square. He made them so thin it was painful. The next time I went I made an appointment with the owner angel to ensure I had good service. Boy was I wrong ! I walked in spoke to angel the owner told her I had an apt. With her and then she walked away spoke in another language and handed me off to another tech. I had never seen before. Lana the new tech. Took over an hour to do my nails and I was just getting a fill. She globed so much acrylic on my nails they looked disfigured, thick and uneven. I could have done a better job myself. Not only were they horrible she got nail polish and acrylic all over my hands when I told her about it she said oh it's fine wash it off. Then when I was done I noticed the acrylic nail was actually attached to the edge of each finger and had to remove them because they became painful and unbearable to wear. I am annoyed that even though I made an appointment with a certain technician she did not care and gave me probably the most inexperienced tech I have ever had. A previous time i went there for just a pedicure and they cut my big toe and made it bleed and scab up, making my pedicure looking awful. I will never go back and highly recommend anyone thinking of going back to find a different place. They used to be nice and thorough with their services but now clearly do not care about anything but getting their money. read more

I went in a few days ago to get a shellac manicure. It was very busy when I went in but they got me going in about ten minutes. However, the nail color I selected was not the one she started putting on my nails so she had to redo that nail and go look for the right polish, which she told me was discontinued. She said she had another one to replace it and she put it on one nail and it was very glittery. I told her I didn't want glitter so she went and got another one. She put it on and asked if I liked it, I held it up to the light and it was glittery. She said, but not as glittery as the other one. I had been there for almost 30 minutes by now, mainly because she kept answering the work phone and her cell phone and assisting people that came in. Oh, she got red nail polish on my finger and instead of properly removing it, she started rubbing it in with her own finger leaving a red streak like I smashed my finger in a door. I stood up and started to give her five dollars and was going to leave because first off, it wasn't working, second off, I was going to be late. She got very upset and said she already did the manicure and I have to wait for her to finish. By now my blood was boiling. She told me to go choose another color. I walked up to where the polishes are and it was so overrun with other people choosing colors I just told her to do a French manicure, although I really wanted a holiday color. She was very rough with the cuticle clipper, and the worst part was that after she had finished the clipping and buffing, she started applying the polish without having me rinse my hands with water. I've never had that happen. I've been here before and put up with rude techs before, but the manicure was always decent. I see no reason to EVER go back here. read more

Terrible just terrible. A group of us went in in the middle of planning for a funeral. The manicurists spoke their language the entire time, often looking at us and laughing. One of the women in our group paid for all of the manicures. One of the manicurists came over and waved the tip in front of the women whose close family had died and starting laughing and speaking her language. When the women asked her to please stop and told her why they were there they continued laughing and talking about us. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. As we were getting ready to attend a funeral and all of us in terrible grief, we did not complain at that time. It was the most awful embarrassing, & upsetting experiences I have ever had to deal with or witnessed. I'm sure the owner of this establishment would be furious to hear about this experience. If you are the owner and want to hear more please let me know and I would be happy to tell you more. I am a local customer with lots of friends and will be sure to tell all of my friends about this terrible experience. Shame on all of you for being so heartless and unprofessional. read more

I was a long time loyal customer till the last two pedicures. They are always getting new people. I got a new lady and always pay for the extra foot scrapping to get the dead skin off. This women had no clue how to do it and was scraping all over my foot it hurt and a few days later my feet looked like I let a 5 year old do them. The polish chipped within days. I went back about a month later I had an appointment. I told the owner I did not want that lady again....She put me in a chair and said to wait for someone else. As I sat and sat in eventually what was cold water I notice the girl that was suppose to start me just took a walk in manicure. As she is doing her and a half hour in cold water went by I got up to leave...They said no, no hold on. She stopped this girls manicure and start me!!! It was another bad pedicure and she has always been with them since I started going. When it came to massage she did it for 10 seconds and said "we are really busy I will do a better job next time". No next time here! Going this week to a new place! I use to do nails, toes and eyebrows there but never again. So much for loyal customer service! read more

I will NEVER go to Ava Nails again and will never let anyone I know go there either. I wish I didn't have to put any stars for the rating. I went on a Saturday at 9:15 ( they open at 9) for a pedicure. The women told me there is a 15-20 minute wait and to pick my color. I sat there for over 40 minutes until I decided to just get up and leave. I decided to give it ONE more chance, and I went back Sunday for a shellac manicure. The women at the front sat me right away. I got there again at 9:15 and i was home by 9:35. She rushed through the whole thing, and was pulling my cuticle and I started bleeding. THEN by Tuesday my nail polish all chipped off. They were peeling and most of them peeled off without me even touching it. They are supposed to last 2 WEEKS not 2 days. I will never go to Ava again. They have gone downhill within the last few years. I usually go somewhere else but they are closed Sundays so I tried Ava and I will never go back. It is very obvious that they talk in their own language about their customers. I saw a women walk in and they started talking in Chinese and everyone looked at the women and started laughing...Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO! read more
