I knew we were off to a good start when I called ahead looking for a battery for our van. Rather than just trust the computer, Jacob went back to check and make sure the specific battery we were looking for was there. I then told him that our family has some medical concerns and we are taking covid very seriously. He asked me to contact them when I arrived and he would be ready for me. I popped the hood and called. Jacob got everything ready, put the battery in the van and we were good to go. I could not be more happy with this transaction. He took our exposure risk as seriously as I hoped everyone would with a single simply mention. I made the mistake of going to Auto Zone in Upland because I was in the area. I asked for some basic help and they asked if I was commercial or DIy. I have a business with a fleet of vehicals but I said, "well I guess I'm do it your self". They refused to walk 20 feet to help me after I had been there for over 10 minutes. 3 peopole behind the counter, two of them talking to each other and they treated me like dirt. I have never been treated so badly in a retail business. I went to my O'Reilly's that I usally go to in Rancho Cucamonga. They asked me if I needed help. Showed me were the parts were I needed. Went last Sunday March 7, 2021 at 1:15 p.m. store was busy for 1 cashier, the other heavy guy latino was just on the phone would hang up ignored me the 20 minutes I was standing there to test my battery. I hope he is not a manager cause he was wear a gray shirt. Completely ignored me as I was standing 6 feet away from him. The busy cashier had a long line and I asked him sir I know your busy but I've been here over 20 minutes waiting for help. He said I will be back to test it for you, but I know he was really busy. First things first , I do go to a regular mechanic but I was having issues with my 350 charging my trailer and my buddy told me to go to autozone and get my batteries tested , I'm always a apprehensive about the chain auto parts stores ( lack of knowledge , poor service , etc ..) I whish I would've gotten the young mans name that asssited me today because he changed my perspective BIG time. Not only did he test my batteries but he went back in the store got a second opinion from another associate , went back out to my truck tested the alternator , as it turned out one of my batteries was bad , so I purchased a replacment battery , the young man then offered to install the battery , fantastic ! I would also add the young man was polite , speedy and thourough . He represented this business very well. When I left I felt guilty for not offering a tip, not sure they can accept tips but he deserved one . read more

I frequent this location often and the staff is always helpful. However my visit today wasn't anything less than good service, but my complaint is of one of the store managers who goes by the name Q. He was helpful but very rude to Owen, the staff member he assigned to help me. Owen took the time to explain information to me but, Q was being so bossy and insisting tht Owen make the sell already. And in front of me (customer) the manager argues if Owen didn't feel like working today he could go home. So I have been to autozone multiple times to get parts for my car. Typically they are terrific. And whenever I struggled on parts I usually get help on it no matter what time whether it be day or night. Even at like time like 10-11 pm I was able to get help installing parts. I recently went in to replace a headlight. My car model typically is really hard to remove and replace headlights so I asked if I could get some help. This was around 8 pm. I was instructed that they could help in no way whatsoever because they could not go outside whatsoever because it was night. So I spent about 40-60 minutes struggling on putting in a headlight on my own without any help at all. Next time I'll go to the other autozone down the street where they are willing to help out. read more

Excellent customer service when I went and purchased my chains for my tires. I had NO idea what I was supposed to purchase and the associate walked out to my car and knew exactly what I needed while helping another customer at the same time who was outside. And a good thing he knew because I had NO idea what the difference was between cables and chains I believe the gentleman's name was Quisto. Every time I come here, there's always some issue with check out, part search, etc. If you want actual help, or actually have a question, you'll be hard pressed to get it sorted here. Seems like any automotive parts store I venture into these days, the employees know nothing about any of it, and this place is the epitome of that - just some unknowledgeable kids hired to play on their phones all day, and hopefully get something right. This pains me to say this, but as a dude, I know jack about cars. So when I walked into the auto parts store, I get nervous. I can't tell you how many wrong fitting doo-dads I have purchased. But not this time. This time I had Mike H. Very happy and upbeat kinda guy. Was looking for windshield wipers and even went outside to measure them for me so we could make sure that we got the right size. He recommended the brand that was on sale and the better buy. Put them on my car and baddabing, no more problems on rainy days! Mike H. was great so def talk to him if you have questions. I got a nail stuck in my tire when driving around this area and my tire went flat while i was in a store. I called this autozone and spoke to Quisto and he kindly explained to me a product called "fix a flat" and that it would hold the air in my tire so I could make it to the tire shop. When I got there he had it ready for me so I didn't have to go looking for it on the shelves. My debit card wasn't reading so I could pay and I didn't have cash. To my surprise Quisto paid for my fix a flat. Another guy named James was so nice he came outside and put the fix a flat in my tire for me to make sure it was properly put in. I was feeling down on my luck that day and Quisto and James really helped me a lot and made my day much better. Thank you guys read more

Store Manager, Michael S., needs to acquire better customer service skills. Counter sales representative said he would honor a core replacement/warranty on a prior battery purchased from Autozone, which I explained had been damaged near bracket area due to internal heat and corrosion. After bringing battery in, store manager then refused to accept the battery under any potential warranty conditions. I took the battery over to the Rancho store and received great customer service from a more experienced store manager - Tom Medina- who was willing to give me a discount on the new battery I purchased as compensation. It also ended up that Autozone had sold me the wrong battery in the first place (may explain damage near bracket area). In short, Michael S. had poor customer service/negotiation skills. He's young and needs more training. I also found another customer's review on Google + with what appears to be an identical complaint and similar resolution.
