He pays with cash, and when the gentleman RAY gives him the change he is short about $25 as my husband tried to explain where his change is at RAY keeps dismissing it saying it's ok. needed new headlight bulbs for my car and went to purchase some. Stefan told me that my car needed H11 so i purchased it and asked if they installed it for free since that is what it said on their website. He immediately declined and had a face like he was annoyed. After I tried to install the bulb, i found out it was the wrong one that he had sold to me and went back for a refund. When approached again, Stefan was extremely rude and started giving me attitude, aggressively talking to me like I was a 10 year old boy who knew nothing. He was grabbing my receipt aggressively, throwing it back to me, definitely showing signs of annoyed behavior towards me, the customer which is unbelievable. I see other reviews about people getting their bulbs installed for free however it questions me to why Stefan is so rude to his customers. People like Stefan don't understand what customer service and care is because he acts like a total jerk. read more

I went in to go return a battery that not only was the incorrect battery for my vehicle, but it didn't fit into the battery slot of my vehicle. It was physically too small and it wasn't strong enough for my car. I did not know this, and I've been having hard troubles for a while, I took it into the mechanic and they told me that it was the incorrect battery so I called my dealership and they told me what kind of battery I should get and I got it from Costco because I could get it at a cheaper price and O'Reilly didn't carry it. When I went in to return the battery after I called the assistant manager and they told me I could, the guy at the front desk told me that the only way that I could get my money back since I didn't have the card on file was a gift receipt. I told him that that wasn't gonna be acceptable and he told me there was no other way. I asked to get somebody else and Brenda came out. She blamed me for having the wrong battery in my car, told me I should've come immediately when I realized that it was the wrong battery (even though I'm not a expert, I didn't put the battery in, and they are experts). When I told her that I did bring it in as soon as I realized it was the wrong battery, she said I was arguing with her. She gave me cash back, and then the male associate complained that their drawer was gonna be short for the rest of the day and that it was my fault. This is absolutely unacceptable, rude, and extremely horrible customer service. I will not be back to another O'Reilly and I know that a lot of companies don't care if they lose one customer but if this is how you're going to treat customers when they're not educated on what kind of equipment goes into their car and you're just gonna rip them off and then bitch at them about them not being educated enough to know the difference when you literally have trained employees that do know the difference and are just ripping people off is MALICIOUS. I shouldn't have to go through the assistant managers and managers to ask if I can bring a battery back in to return because your employees put in the wrong one in. Yesterday after work (10/21/2022) I was trying to get my drums from my 2005 Tundra turned so I can perform my brake job early Saturday morning and have the rest of the day for non-car stuff. After leaving the Chino location with a very bad taste in my mouth (poor customer service, review on their yelp) one of the several other stores that I called was the Upland store. I spoke to the manager Eduardo and explained to him what I have been going through trying to get these drums turned at one of their stores. Eduardo was very professional and told me to bring them in. He was upfront before I headed that way and told me he may not be able to get them done right away but they would be done before close. I drove over there, and Edwardo did exactly as he promised and had my drums turned. I dropped them off, waited a short amount of time so he can measure them and make sure he can turn them and then I went to grab some dinner and when I came back, they were almost done. If you really knew what I went through yesterday to try and get these done at many O'Reilly Auto Parts stores between Chino Hills and Upland, you will under my appreciation of Eduardo. Heading to Yosemite....the website said you must be carrying chains....arghhh!!! I came into the store...very quick "May I bro you" from the lady at the counter. Explained what I was going to do, she asked me for my tire size....went in the back and came out with some cables....I had already checked on Amazon...these were less than half the price!!! So helpful...told me she had gone to Yosemite in the winter last year, and def needed chains. Thanks for the recommendation, and for setting me up with a solution that wasn't expensive...could have def taken advantage of me. 5 Stars for... (I think) Blake. Small kid with big curly hair. Anyway, needed a bolt that sheared off my calipers. I couldn't find it on the shelf, and while I was sitting there thinking my night was about to turn into a hunt for this bolt, and this 20 min brake job was going to turn into an all night battle, Blake came by and asked if I needed help. I told him what size bolt I was looking for, he checked the back, and came back with... nothing. Most sales floor associates would have said good luck, hope it works out for you. But not Blake. Blake is a hero. Blake checked around in the computer, and came back with a small brake kit that contained a pair of the exact bolts I needed. $5 and I was on my way. Got home, the bolts fit, and 10 min later I had the calipers back on, and my car was back in business. So good on Blake, keep saving the day. read more

I bought a car battery from them. I didn't have much of a choice since no one has anything else on stock. The battery was defective with a bad cell so I returned it for another. Then my second battery started dying. It mysteriously had lost 2 inches of acid in 9 months on a new and never opened top. Looks like it is leaking. They denied the return and said it was my fault. I went to purchase new wiper blades and windshield cleaning fluid. Because I've never had to purchase these things myself, I wanted to learn how to replace them including the cleaning liquid. The young gentleman who replaced the blades showed me where to pour the cleaner. He was so nice, patient, and professional! I really appreciated him because this was out of my comfort zone. I needed my brake rotors turned that were purchased from Pep Boys. When I took them in they were no help and referred me to a closed business to get the service I needed. I had to make a bunch of calls but I'm glad I found O'Reilly's in Upland. Tammy the manager is very friendly and helpful. I've never really had a noteworthy experience walking into any typical O'Reilly's, but this particular visit gave me reassurance that people still go above and beyond what is required of their day-to-day duties. I went in to buy a bulb to replace the burnt one on my headlight. The gentleman who helped me, Carlos, helped me find which bulb I needed and even offered me the tools I needed in order to replace it right there at the store in the parking lot. Whilst performing the replacement, it dawned on me that I had a possible blown fuse. So I went in and explained the problem to Carlos. We checked the fuse and it looked fine so he decided to try his luck with a meter on the fuse box to see if there was a short. Although we weren't able to diagnose the fuse issue, which honestly was not a pressing issue, I was truly impressed by his generosity and helpfulness to make me feel more comfortable in my own car. A true gentleman and the company is lucky to have him on the payroll. read more

I went there thinking I needed a new battery they check the battery said the battery was OK but I needed a new alternator so I bought an alternator for 300 and some dollars brought it over to my mechanic the next day my mechanic calls and says your alternator is fine you need a new battery so I went back got the alternator brought it back to O'Reillys put it on the counter said actually my battery is what I need not the alternator the alternator was fine they never once apologize never once said they were sorry nothing acted like it wasn't their fault at all was going to buy a new battery there but all they have is some kind of super start battery that I've never heard of and she said well that's our brand and that was it nothing but a bunch of women at work in there not that I have anything abouty the wom read more

I love the customer service at this store! Last week I went in to get a wiper replaced and the sweet young 17 yr old accidentally damaged my windshield. He felt terrible.
